Im guessing this place has gone through a few changes for the better since its inception, since its never popped up on my radar until recently. And, dare I say this is the best Korean Ive had in the city? I think I just might! If anything, its certainly among the top three, especially if were talking about anything outside the usual KBBQ, soondubu, or bibimbap, with everything Ive tried the two times Ive come for dinner being pretty darn tasty: * Sweet & Sour Chicken Wings - These might be the best Asian-style wings Ive had in SF so far. Certainly in terms of flavor, handily beating out the ones at San Tung (which can be too sweet), the ones at SO (which arent as flavorful), and countless others that Ive had. In terms of texture though, the meat doesnt come off the bone as easily as youd expect of perfectly cooked wings, like those at Hot Sauce & Panko, but its not really enough of a deal to complain about. * Jjol Myung - My friend and I actually ordered this thinking it was jjajangmyun (uh, yeah, oops), so we were a little bummed when we got a cold noodle dish instead. But, after actually trying it, we were surprised how good and flavorful the spicy noodles actually were! * Kimchi Fried Rice - I was staring at this the first time I came, and made a point of getting it the second time around. Jin Mis version was a little different than the ones Ive tried before, but I couldnt pinpoint why. The slightly darker color suggested soy sauce, but, either way, it was pretty delicious. * Dukbokki - Another thing I missed the first time around, that I had to come again for. Not outright spicy like that of the KFC, but one that slowly grows on you. Their version comes with a few other things like veggies and fish cake, I think, which all add an extra little flavor. Service is pretty friendly, and for dinner at least, the place has always been pretty empty - I suspect its a different case during lunch though, given the selection of tech companies in the area. ***Accessibility Info*** Venue - A small restaurant with a mixture of two tops and four tops, some of which are placed a little too close together, so that your back might be right up against someone elses, but given how empty the place has been, this hasnt been an issue yet. Theres also a very small grade of a ramp after entering the restaurant, but Im pretty sure its far within ADA standards. Bathroom - Didnt try them.

Good, no-frills Korean home comfort food. We came for dinner on a Sunday evening and the place was fairly busy. Ordered the beef short rib soup, rice cake (dukbokki), and red fried chicken. All were very good for just comfortable home cooking. Soup was light, but hearty. Rice cake cane with fish cake, tossed in sauce that was perfectly spicy. Red fried chicken was crispy and perfectly sweet, spicy, and sticky. Good selection of 7 banchan side dishes. Multigrain Korean rice was served. Overall, perfect middle ground Korean food between high end KBBQ (like Han Il Kwan) and low end Korean bar food (think Cocobang).

Came here when we couldnt find parking for another Korean place, the place wasnt full but not empty. Service is good and friendly. It looks like a quick cafe-ish place more than a sit down place. The food is OK much cheaper than any korean place I known so I would give ot a 3.5 stars for that... but yelp doesnt allow you a half a star yet for very top secret and non negotiable reasons. The spicy pork was a little drier than other places but tasted ok. The food in general was ok nothing great but the positive thing is their prices!

Jin Mi BBQ took over the halal place. Its a good space for a restaurant, so Im glad that theres another Asian restaurant with vegetarian options at Civic Center/Tenderlion. I ordered one of their vegetarian dishes to go. It came with daikon, carrots, bean sprouts and other veggies I cant remember. It also came with a fried egg, tofu, and rice. For less than $9 I got a satisfying meal. They also gave me tea while I waited, which didnt take long as well. Its nice to have more good food options in the Tenderloin.

Carmen is by far my favorite employee at Jin Mi BBQ & Tofu. She has been at that location since before they changed it to Jin Mi BBQ & Tofu. She is always helpful, consistently has a smile on her face, and very efficient.Aside from that, the Cilantrology is my favorite. Jin Mi BBQ & Tofu has consistently fresh ingredients, tasty, healthy, and at reasonable prices.

Good korean food. Reasonable prices. Reminds me of Moms Tofu in South SF. The lunch menus have a nice selection. The all you can eat appetizers are flavorful. The beef short ribs arent as sweet as others, but the bulgogi is better than most.

Very good food and prompt service, our food was ready within 10 minutes of ordering. The restaurant venue was fairly nice and had a Korean game show on the TV. The atmosphere was very casual. Expect to pay ~$12-15 total (includes tip).

Quiet, but fast, clean, casual and good. Great option for dinner before heading over to the symphony, ballet or opera a couple blocks away.

Had the red wings, which was very tasty. The wings were a bit overfried. The rice and other appetizers were great.
