This is the best sports bar in the upper Haight neighborhood. Period. Sports viewing: There are somewhere between 20 and 30 flat screen, high def TVs and they play pretty much any sport you can find on TV. If youre an English soccer fan, youll love that they open really early for those 6am matches. They regularly show rugby and soccer matches, hockey, baseball and basketball games. Sundays during the NFL season gets crazy as they show every game on the schedule and fans of every team show up to watch with fellow supporters. Overall, its a great place to watch your team. Food and drink: They serve great bar food. You probably wont order anything that you cant describe as good. Some highlights are their wings (which are the best in the area in my opinion) and their freshly made potato chips. That along with all your standard bar food will get you through whatever game youre there to see. They have a decent beer selection, but it could be better. It never really changes, so you know what youll be getting. People: The people that frequent Kezar are generally big sports fans. So, youll get your courteous and nice people, but youll also get your loud, obnoxious sports fan as well. It depends on what the main event being played at the time is. Its never really bad though, even with the more obnoxious types during NFL games. Service: Ive never had a problem with service here. When theyre packed for big events it can be a little slow, but thats to be expected anywhere. Overall they do what they can to get your food and drink to you as fast as possible. They also accommodate you as far as watching your game. If a big event is playing and you want to watch something else, theyll try to find you a TV off in the corner to make you happy. Theyre very friendly and help out as best they can.

I love this place. it is our thursday pre-off the grid, post work day, weekend preparation place. The best bartender by far is Parris, she will not let you down! She has a special sense for beer thirst pheromones, superhuman hearing for hunger growls and all with a smile. We always have the chicken wings, the nachos with everything (crispy and the cheese and the olives and the jalapenos and the chicken and the guacamole and I need to run down there right now!!!!!!!). Sometimes we get fancy and we go for the burgers, the meat is juicy and tender their fries absolutely crispy and oil free. And they have the thinnest, tastiest home-made chips Ive ever had in a sports bar. The beer selection isnt vast but decent enough and the crowd extremely friendly.

This is the spot to come watch a game and grab a greasy but delicious bite of food over in the Haight! I come here typically after Off the Grid because they dont have beer at that spot, which is Thursdays. (Now dont start stalking me...) I have also come here to watch hockey and baseball. (Football season hasnt started yet.) The food is good. They have nachos, so of course I tried them. They are okay, not the best, but then again I have high standards. The mini corn dogs were really good though and I would definitely come back here to try more food items...especially the wings which seem to be a big hit here. Be warned, this place can get pretty crowded even with the backroom. Also, it can be a little breezy by the door.

After being told multiple times to come here for the wings, I gave it a try. I was definitely disappointed. While the wings werent overly battered or overly fried, the sauce fell short of true wing deliciousness. I tried three different kinds, the buffalo, the bulleitt whiskey, and the gangnam style. The best sauce of the three was the whiskey one, as it was the thickest and the only one of the three that stuck to the wings. The buffalo style sauce was basically just Franks, it was watery, and the Gangnam style was equally thin. We were also charged for carrots and celery, as well as extra sauce. Proper wings are served with carrots and celery! My wing search sadly continues...

Wings are pretty good here. Best in San Francisco (SF Chronicle)? Not sure but Im also not a huge fan of buffalo chicken wings/legs (Id rather have them boneless and with a spicy thai sauce or something). But gotta give this to the wings: they had hearty hearty flavor (a LOT of buffalo sauce) and were decently crispy on the outside instead of soggy. Ambiance was fun (NBA game between Hawks and Cavaliers tonight) with people rooting loudly and with others playing card games in the seating area out back. Also drinks and food are on the cheap side. Solid 4 star as a sports bar.

This is definitely my new favorite bar. I had been there a couple of times in the past and ended up here just a few weeks ago after having a bit of a disastrous experience on Haight Street. We wandered up the hill towards the N and ended up having some drinks at Kezar. The bartender makes fantastic martinis and manhattans, the drinks of the evening. We just returned this past weekend to be greeted by the same bartender who knew us and our drinks. The music playing was a good mix and the volume was great. Love that it is convenient to the train and bus lines too!

This is the second time Ive been in here and both times the bar service was horrible. I cant speak to the service on the floor, by the actual waitresses seem quite nice. I asked what they had in tap and had a menu THROWN at me, not handed, not placed near me but thrown at me. I asked of I could get a layered beer and the bartender reluctantly sighed and said i can try. I feel like I was wasting his time by being there. If you want to go here, do yourself a favor and skip it, go over a few blocks to Kezar Bar & Grill.

Extraordinary place! One of the few places in the Bay Area where they truly understand sports fans, including real football, rugby, and schedules. They are open from like 5 am or so, so we can watch European sports live. Watched the rugby world cup final there and it was packed with Kiwis and Aussies and everyone else. Friendly people, nice food, good beer, tons of wisely located screens... paradise. It is also the home of the Liverpool FC fan club, so come over to watch all LFC games live! <3

If youre looking for a sports bar around the Upper Haight, this is your spot. Tons of TVs with every conceivable sporting event, including the early morning European soccer matches if youre into that. Theyre cool about putting on whatever you ask for too. Also the pub food here is awesome! The wings have been voted best in the city - theyre fantastic. Good burgers and sandwiches too. Beer prices and selection are pretty decent as well.

I had lots of fun here. Wings are big and delicious, having been fried perfectly. Beer selection is excellent for most American ale and Irish ale tastes. Whisky selection is great, albeit slightly overpriced. Considering the location, prices are generally very reasonable. Bar staff is kind and professional, not gushy or chatty, theyre simply too busy taking care of patrons, which they do well. I will come back here often.

Some people want anything and everything under the sun, well in terms of English and European Football, this place has it! Tons of screens, plenty of options. If you want to see beyond the English Premier League, such as the Sky Bet Leagues, SPL, Hurling, yes Hurling! or even World Cup Qualifiers, this is the place. They have great ales and beers on tap, and make a solid irish coffee.
