The Coffee Method has some of the best coffee in San Diego. If you want a quality cup of coffee or coffee-drink, come here and you will not be disappointed. No frills, no strawberry mochacinnos, no dollar menu specials. The comparative drawbacks of this place are those of choosing fresh squeezed orange juice over orange soda: it often takes longer to make and is more expensive. Another thing is that they are super clean and meticulous about everything: weighing exact amount of beans for each pour over, sampling every batch of ice coffee, and washing every piece of equipment with almost OCD-like frequency. The guy who owns the place might not greet you with a smile or actively listen to your complaining about the weather, but he will make sure your coffee is good.

The coffee was ok but the service put me off. When I asked for clarification on prices on the product I was mocked by the barista who offered to charge me more if I liked. It was apparently funny on his end, but its not funny for the customer and made me feel uneasy. I wouldnt care to go back for that.

It was kinda unusual that NOBODY was in this place on such a nice day. the barista wasnt even working he was chilling and eating. i ordered a mocha espresso the drink had NO taste whatsoever. tasted like hot water.. CRAPPY DRINKS

This place is great if you like quality coffee. The shop owner Robert is very knowledgable about coffee and makes very good french press or pour over cup of joe. Highly recommend.
