Probably the best coffee house I have ever been to! Their Toddy is out of this world! I get mine large with double white chocolate and you wont even know you arent drinking chocolate milk, that is until the buzz hits you! Be careful and dont drink more than half especially if you arent experienced with caffeine. This drink is great and it gives you a jolt like no other! I drink half today half tomorrow its that strong! They also have some of the best Acai Bowls in town. They put coconut flakes and organic honey and I cant think of anything better to top my Acai Bowl. Also be prepared for some of the coolest, happiest little baristas in town. Forget Starbucks, Ewwww!! Come here its the same price range and its much more organic and local! The owner is a happy and sweet lady who always seems to be buzzing around saying hi and making everyones delicious drinks and food! I used to work down the street from this place and no longer do and am soooooo sad its been far too long since Ive visited my friends at the Hummingbird! Btw top secret info but, what makes their coffee so good is the unicorn tears! Just an OB secret!

We were looking for some places to brunch near Point Loma and stumpled upon this place and were even a bit sad, that we found this gem of a breakfast café only on our last day in San Diego. The staff gave us a very warm and friendly welcome. We asked for some recommendations and ordered a "hippie meal" - consisting of a bowl with cereal, berry (incl. Acai berries) smoothie and coconut flakes as well as a panini with egg, bacon, cheese and tomato. Both of them also had fresh strawberry and banana slices on the side and were just a delicious dream of a brunch meal. Accompanied by that we had a "naughty bird" (espresso with chai, chocolate and milk) and a "lemon zinger" (basically lemon zests/skin and ginger, brewed up like tea) which were both amazing. So, if youre in the area, make sure to stop by and try the great food and drinks!

Everyone there are polite and chill except one chick who thinks that coffee shops arent for hanging out and chillin over a cup of coffee. She said especially when they are busy, there were five other people there . Five, including a dog . Now I could see if I just walked in and didnt buy anything but I drink at least three coffees and get a bagel. Now they need to reassess their goal of a hippie coffee shop to a fed ex shipping store again. To which they share the building with. At least they allow you to use their computers and say hi with a smile ...

I love this coffee shop! Its the best in OB and maybe even around SD. Theyve got a wide variety of drinks, but also pastries, muffins, paninis, acai bowls (this is what I order, its so delicious and packed with fresh fruit!) and so much more. its shared with a fed ex, but the feel inside is so comfy/cozy. They also have scrabble and used books for sale, which definitely adds to the overall charm of this place. I love that this place is open latenight too... cant give high enough of a recommendation. oh yeah, dont forget to try the dirty bird

This place is profoundly amazing. One suggestion possibly worth taking a chance on, offer a larger variety of beans (instead of things to add to the coffee, preferably beans with high input standards - Organic), possibly viable using coffee presses. This allows small shops to compete with larger chains (Starbucks) that have the capital to invest in technologies like "the clover". Having said that, your products and the natural, humble, earthy ambiance are brilliant. The staff is highly service oriented, knowledgeable, cheerful, and friendly.

This place is absolutely adorable the coffee is wonderful and all of the people are very kind. I absolutely love that it is attached to a FedEx its more than convenient to be able to sit with a cup of coffee write out all your bills and letters and send them at the same place I dont know why more coffee houses arent set up like this! Take a hint Starbucks! These people are killing you lol support the small local businesses!!! Their coffee is better anyways.

You might walk right past this spot (its housed inside FedEx), but dont miss it! This little java spot offers great coffee (try it iced or the "dirtybird" chai), pastries, and healthy eats like acai bowls. This location on Santa Monica is a good enough distance from beach crowds to offer a work-friendly atmosphere, but has the same great people watching youd expect from OB.

Lazy Hummingbird is a great spot to hang out for awhile. They make a spot on cappuccino, have legit iced coffee, and great baristas. If your around after hours they often have local music happenings and other events worth checking out. The vibe there is bar none better than other caffeinated beverage options in the area.

Awesome spot for good coffee and acai bowls. Its a shared space with the OB Business center and there is art work and photography all over the walls, so there is a great vibe. There is also a comfy outdoor seating area out front which makes for a wonderful way to enjoy your coffee and breakfast in the morning.

This is the chillest, most amazing coffee house on the planet. The Macaccino made with maca root, is phenominal. If you like chocolate, I suggest adding some cacao, and if you like coffee, dont be afraid to add a shot of espresso, but only after youve tried it without one; taste it pure first <3

Their Vietnamese coffee (sweetened condensed milk) is a great mix of dark flavors and sweet. They are known for their dirty and naughty bird which are chai lattes. The atmosphere is definitely OB. Best coffee place to grab a great coffee or Aacai bowl while getting a flavor of OB life.

Very pleasant way to start the morning its quiet and peaceful. The service is good, and the coffee is fantastic. They play oldies music and have black and white silent cartoons playing in the corner. Absolutely reccomend this place to everyone and anyone.

They serve my favorite bowl of acai anywhere. Its a bit pricey (I think $10ish for a large bowl), but I definitely recommend to anyone in Ocean Beach looking for something refreshing and/or sweet to cool off with.
