Ive eaten at this unique fine dining place twice and enjoyed my experience quite a bit. Both times, we sat in the outdoor seating, which is an unusual environment for a nice restaurant, because basically youre on the sidewalk of a mini-mall. You can see and hear cars and people on foot walking in and out of the frozen yogurt place next door. I did not mind this at all, and in fact it gave it almost an authentic bistro feel, since youre out on a sidewalk (albeit in a space enclosed by fencing). The food was delicious and the service was well above par both times. I believe the server/hostess is married to the chef, and it is their project as a couple. I think that results in a lot of care put into every aspect of what they do.

Delicious food, attractively plated, nice portion size and really great, warm bread. They have a wine list but we were there during there Saturday brunch hours with bottomless mimosas. I had the crab cake and poached egg with asparagus and chimchurri. It came with roasted potatoes and fresh fruit. Everything was fresh, in season, super tasty and perfectly prepared. My husband enjoyed his linguisa and eggs breakfast as much as I enjoyed mine. The owner, Wade is a wonderful host, very personable. My husband and I stopped in on our way out of town (we had an errand to do in Sac). We will eating here next time we are in town. Locals are lucky to have this gem. If we lived close it would be a frequent favorite.

In spite of several negative reviews, we traveled from Auburn to dine at the Ravenous Cafe. The food was excellent (Steak Du Jour; Eggplant Napoleon & Angel Hair Pasta)! Service was timely and pleasant; parking was only a short walk within the parking lot (no big deal); did not feel rushed. Decaf Coffee (special blend) was rich and hot. Though the bread was unique, I would have liked a variety that didnt compete with the tastes of our dishes. The lemon cheese cake with rich nutty crust, drizzled with raspberry sauce was a delectable dessert to top off our pleasant experience. Enjoy!

Food is always great and service wonderful. I always look forward to any meal I am going to have at Plan B. I know of no place in its class in the Pocket area, and it easily competes with downtown restaurants. I encourage those of you living and used to dining downtown to take a trip to Plan B. At long last the Pocket has food worth bragging about.

This place is fantastic! I love their food and wine selection! Have been coming here since they opened - really wish there was more room for the whole world to see how great this place is. Wade, the owner is a great guy - very knowledgeable in so many different areas of cuisine. Everything he makes is truly fantastic. Cant wait to see whats next.

Stopped by for lunch today and enjoyed the food, decor and service. Had the rib eye lunch special with a blue cheese sauce reduction. It was outstanding. (And I generally wouldnt order blue cheese on anything)... Meat was cooked exactly how I like it..and was very tasty. Im not related to the owner or involved in any part of this establishment.

Im from the Napa Valley but I have an aunt who lives in the Pocket area of Sacramento. We took her out to eat tonight at Ravenous. I am accustomed to fine restaurants and I think I can make a fair analysis. This place is phenomenal. South Sac is fortunate, indeed, to have such a high quality restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised!

The food is wonderful and fresh. I would give five stars, but the parking situation is a nightmare, especially at lunchtime and that 24 hour fitness center. I cruised the parking like many times and finally the person I was meeting stood in a parking space to "save" it while I rode about.

The chef is masterful with every dish - and we have enjoyed Ravenous many, many times. Food is fabulous and Wade the owner is a welcoming presence along w/ April who is a true professional. The salmon is delectable with risotto, the chicken moist and flavorful. On and on.

Not cheap, but price is appropriate for the quality of the food. Attentive service, lovely atmosphere (not too quiet, not too loud), and outstanding food. Tonight we had the lamb and the salmon, both were excellent.

Excellent food in this little restaurant. Will definitely go back. Get the chicken soup with avocado. You will not be disappointed. This is a lovely addition to the Greenhaven/Pocket area.
