This Dos Coyotes, undoubtedly, has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I ordered a ranchero burrito earlier today over the phone, and immediately after the order was made, called back in order to specify that a food allergy prevented me from tolerating the guacamole. The manager refused to edit the order claiming that the burrito had already been made. This seemed incredibly unlikely, but nonetheless a food establishment shouldnt hesitate to accommodate for polite requests made by their paying customers. I felt dismissed, patronized, and unappreciated for being a customer at this restaurant. What I felt was the biggest insult of all though, was how the manager herself (Emma) questioned the legitimacy of my food allergy as a means to shoo me away. One would expect a little bit more of respect and professionalism from a manager. This restaurant will not send food back, regardless of the satisfaction level of their customer - even in cases of allergy. The "customer being first" is absolutely not a standard of service that this establishment upholds. Emma (the "manager") then proceeded to further aggravate the situation by laughing and mocking us with her employees, and I have truly never experienced behavior like this from a restaurant manager. I will never be returning to this restaurant and I advise all others who expect a certain level of respect from customer service to do the same.

Obviously, all the other reviews on this restaurant were either written by the owners, employees or by people who have no taste buds. I went to the Dos Coyotes in Roseville and had their special "Da Hawg" burrito and it was the most flavorless and disappointing example of a burrito I have had in a good while. The carnitas were dry and flavorless, for shame! Carnitas are supposed to rich and succulent and, of course full of flavor, these carnitas were anything but that and the portion was paltry. The frijoles refritos were passable and the grilled corn was decent. However, for $8.00, one should expect a little more in both quanity and quality. Why give out chips with no salsa with to go orders by the way? In short, go to a real taqueria and not some place started and run by a bunch of pinche gringos.

Dos caters so much to our law school that people get pretty tired of their burritos- and they joke that it is a for sure way to make you run (to the bathroom). Ive tried burritos, flautas, quesdillas, a tostada, and everytime I feel as if its not worth the price. For TexMex this place is pretty white-washed, having 0 points of authenticity in terms of Mexican flavors. I guess most people who frequent here in Davis dont have any palate sensors as they food here seems to be fresh but lacks flavor- even with the addition of their salsa. The taquerias are a much better option in Davis.

Dont get me wrong. I really do like this place, but I really feel like they try to compensate the taste of their food with the amount that they pile on your plate. The food is okay, especially their nachos but everything else doesnt really have that authentic taste to it. Now, let me make it clear, when they say "South of the Border" they really mean it. This isnt Mexican food, but rather the hybrid of it with a touch of Southern style food. In short, the place has a great atmosphere and a very good place to hang out with friends.

Honestly. This was my first time eating at this restaurant and it was the best experience Ive had. The workers there are so nice and super helpful. I felt safe while I was there and plus the food was A1. Best tacos Ive had in a while. This restaurant is a little underrated but its a very good place to sit down and enjoy some good food. Im definitely coming back here. Hungry for more and to try the whole menu

I usually come here for take outs and I order them inside the store. The menu is sort of limited to burritos, tacos, and salads but they taste pretty good and when you order they come out in around 5 minutes. They work fast and taste equal to or better than chipotle. Definitly a bit more oriented towards americans in terms of options but still good tasting.

I was so disappointed with the food on my last visit. I ordered the steak border burrito with no salsa. My food arrived with no guacamole, but lots of salsa. Very watery salsa. I think it was also missing cheese, but it may of floated away on the salsa river. My husbands order was also wrong. Too bad, the attention to detail wasnt there today. :(

I used to be a bigger fan of Dos...but the last few years they seemed to have dropped off in quality and service. My favorite Dos to go to is in the Market Square in Sacramento. But theyve all seemed to hit that brick wall...I love the quesadilla specials and wet burritos. And my favorite salad is with the mahi...good stuff. But has been better.

Their online ordering doesnt work - and its not the first time that Ive placed an online order and it never made it to the actual restaurant. Having to wait inline again for an order with barely an appology from staff is not acceptable - but their food is good so we keep coming back. At least they offered a free drink...

Not quite Mexican food, but its really awesome. It gets super busy in here on Friday and Saturday nights, to the point that they sometimes dont answer the phone for take-out orders. But the food is awesome. The Yolo Mango Burrito is the best thing, when its on the menu.

Not my favorite Mexican food place, but the quality of the ingredients are consistently high so Im thankful for that. Salsa bar is nice since you have a range of choices. I recommend the steak burrito and get some hot salsa.

After a day on the lake theres nothing like a Yolo burrito to satisfy an appetite. The outdoor seating is nice too during the warm Summer months. You cant visit Davis without getting your tex-mex fill at Dos.

I am baffled why this place is so popular. I did not know it was possible to make bad salsa, but now I do. I ordered the chicken taco, chicken enchilada plate. It was marginally edible. I wont be back.

Decent Mexican food. Usually get take out. Nothing that will offend, but probably wont be your favorite either. I usually get the Yucatan chicken salad = pretty good. Prices are reasonable.

Good restaurant and service is decent. It super packed at lunch as expected. Have a nice outside eating area for summer. They have always gotten my food right.

Delicious burritos- they melt cheese onto the tortilla before wrapping in the other ingredients. That plus 6 choices of salsa make for a very yummy experience
