I am sitting at No. 1 Buffet right now as I write this review.... The food was somewhat okay depending on if youre accustomed to the cuisine. Me being very skeptical, was hesitant as the majority of the seafood looked like it had just jumped out of the ocean (jumped out of the ocean to sit uncooked only to be cooked days later and then served cold). Im not sure the food that was from dry land...chicken, beef, pork was labeled correctly. I was somewhat afraid that I was munching down on cat or dog. The sushi was cold and seemed...stale, the coconut shrimp was a disappointment, and the crab was waterlogged. On the other hand, my fearless girlfriend chowed down on clams, cheese mayo oysters, duck, frog, craw fish, shrimp, crab, strange dumplings that looked like raw eggs, this "Dim Sum"....then again this is the woman that enjoys eating whole baby octopus in sesame oil and seeds-head in all!!! The bathrooms were very clean surprisingly and there were Hispanics, African Americans, Causians, not just a swarm of Asians. So in the end come here with a open mind to try some strange things that look like they are looking right back at you. Food Summary Sushi- Below expectations (bland) Frog- Does not taste like chicken, not juicy but oily Crab- Below expectation. Shell was waterlogged and very difficult to crack . Meat was very salty and cold. Main course item (fried rice, Lo Mein, Broccoli Beef, Sweet and Sour Pork, Orange Chicken, etc.- Good Desserts- Above expectation. Nothing real exciting though. I do not recommend this place for the price and the food. If you want a good place to eat for your buck I recommend you go to Fugi Buffet in Elk Grove off the Elk Grove Blvd exit on Highway 99. But for Fugi always come a little early because there is always a wait for a seat because every Asian in Elk Grove is there... Fugi costs the same with better food and a hidden menu! :)

The Asian restaurants on Stockton Blvd are well known for having poor customer service, however, this was by far the worst experience Ive ever had anywhere. I am so upset that Ive went through the trouble to make an account to leave a review in the hopes of at least one person reading it and choosing a different place to eat. Their sign and Google, in which theyve registered, states that the closing time is 10:00pm so we arrive at 9:00pm, thinking we had an hour to eat. After about half an hour of eating, we notice all the workers cleaning up and packing away all the food so I asked the waitress if they were closing, "No, soon. But can you pay now" was her response. Seeing that they were not closing for another half an hour but the food were no longer accessible and we were rushed to pay, we chose not to leave a tip; everything had been self served the entire time anyways. The waitress comes to get the ticket and sees no tip then bluntly asks for a tip (not making this up). At 9:40pm, the little customers remaining were being asked to leave. As we are exiting, one employee informs me that they close at 9:30pm. If that is correct, the appropriate thing to do would be to inform the customers coming in at 9 that they are closing soon, to allow the customers to finish before being asked to pay and leave, and to update the information posted. Whoa, look at this rant. Thank you if youve stayed with me this far. There are many buffets in Sacramento that serves similar dishes. Choose another Sincerly, Two still very hungry customers

My experience alternated between delight and dismay. Delight: This is the buffet where the Chinese families gather, because the management isnt afraid to serve truly Chinese food by which most Americans would be grossed out, such as chicken claws and pork hocks. Dismay: My best guess is that the Chinese families dont drink the iced tea. Delight: The very best iced tea I have tasted in years! Dismay: That made it all the more disappointing that I could never get another glass of it. Even though I complained both before and after shift change, that they were serving me water instead of tea, I couldnt get either server to bring me another glass of that delightful tea. More dismay: This was only after I learned who my server was. The first two glasses of "tea" were brought, the dirty dishes were taken away, and the shift was changed during my absence from the table, so I had to ask - twice - who or where my server was; not that it mattered much, once I found them. Mixed feelings: Discovering, only when trying to choose a dessert, that some of the best dishes are hidden among them. Once I returned for dessert, I found that the Banana Pudding had an unexpected tart flavor. Dismay: The plates for the chilled desserts were warm. Delight: Encountering new Chinese dishes that I will want to order sometime at another restaurant. Dismay: The delightful new dishes arent labeled, so I have no idea what to call them.

OMG! I anticipated coming here for some time now and finally got a chance to try it out. Being a person that loves Chinese food im very observant when it comes to judging good quality food. Me and my family decided to visit there after reading some comments from both sides good and bad. My honest opinion,,the food was terrible. The service was terrible as well. The people that work there arent bad people but as far as quality overall it was terrible food to boot. Lets not forget about how expensive the buffet was. $15.00 per person. The food was cold overall. I watched & waited how the servers brought out fresh food so I decided to go and eat after fresh hot food would be up, come to find out the food was still cold and not tasty at all. The Honey Chicken was too hard and had no authentic taste, the seafood was dirty, the only thing hot out of all of the dishes were the plates. We asked for the bill after 2 plates after trying main dishes which wasnt pleasant at all,,the bill came out to be around $80.00. So disappointed and would never ever dine there again..my suggestion to anyone looking to eat at a fine asian restaurant please dont go there...full of thugs and lowlifes...the food and environment is terrible. Save your money and go to Changs over in Natomas. PS,,dont tip....keep your money...the waiters there wont even notice who you are until AFTER they send you the bill.

Though this buffet is fairly large and have several selections of food to browse from, this buffet restaurant is really not what you would look for in customer service. After selecting your choice of some decent tasty food and sitting down, the amount of customer service you receive throughout your experience is only when you have gotten up and came back to sit down with dessert on your plate. What is even more preposterous was that when the waiter placed the bill on my table he was standing there waiting to see how much I gave him (expecting tips). Though I did leave him a tip he demanded more tips and had me looking for more cash in my purse. The only cash I had left was what I had handed to him and told him I had no more and he walked away with a look. When did tips ever become demanded for such poor service? I have eaten at this restaurant on several occasions because I love their spicy chicken, but after such an experience I am most likely staying away and never returning again.
