This place has excellent soups and sandwiches. The sandwiches are all made with really high quality ingredients and are just plain delicious. One of the really good ones has melty brie and fig. If you cant make up your mind and want to try multiple sandwiches, you can ask super nicely and the chef will make a half and half sandwich. And dont forget the soups! Perfect on a chilly day and sometimes a nice cold soup on a hot day. The place is tiny though so you might not find a place to sit, which is fine if youre just getting a sandwich.

WOW! Even though Ive worked at Park Tower across the street from this place for 3-1/2 years, today was my first visit! After tasting the soups I got (tomato basil and cream of mushroom with truffle oil) Im thinking to myself - WHY MAN! Why havent I been coming here for YEARS!! The soup selection was off the charts (six or so different varieties, which is why I got two - and apparently they change). The sandwiches look amazing too! DEFINITELY will be visiting many more times!

Ive been here on a few occasions and I love the place. The new (not really new anymore but different owners since Chef Daniel) owners are amazing and they make classic French dishes that will not disappoint. I had the Duck Pate and Brie sandwich today with the Blue Crab Bisque. Oh wow it was delicious! My two year old loved the soup! I have also had the French Onion and it is very good as well. Great cafe! I will be going there often!

Stop by La Bonne for a delicious lunch, m-f 10:30-2. The chef runs the show at La Bonne, and the quality of the food is excellent. Fresh homemade soups and delicious sandwiches. There is a regular menu and specials which change every couple of days. Great French onion soup and warm crusty bread. If you have not been here, you are missing one of the greatest spots, period.

This afternoon was my very first time at La Bonne Soupe Cafe. I ordered half of a Pork Pinneaple Sausage sandwich and a cup of the Crawfish Bisque soup and they both tasted amazing! The ingredients appeared to be very fresh because the chef sliced the ingredients and made my order right in front of me. I will definitely go back for more!

A great alternative to Subway. Just like Grandma used to make. If Grandma was a trained chef. I hate jury duty, but this place is only a couple of blocks from the courthouse and they serve fresh, well thought-out and excellently prepared food at a reasonable price for what it is.

La Bonne is one of Sacramentos hidden gems (although its quite popular now). If you havent eaten here, you are missing out on some of the best sandwiches and soups in Sacramento. The Chef buys local ingredients daily and doesnt disappoint!

Pefect timing after lunch. No wait. Otherwise its busy and not alot of seating. I had the beef pastrami sandwich. Well seasoned with fresh bread and ingredients satisfied me. Will eat here again

Excellent soups and sandwiches. Friendly service. Some of the soups and sandwiches are always available and others get rotated around. Sometimes there is a wait during peak lunch hour.

This is one great French hole in the wall. Excellent food. Everything was delicious. Took my daughter for a lunch date, so she could experience the setting for her French class.

Got a 29 out of 30 on Zagat back before they got bought out by google and Le Bonne Soupe Cafe clearly deserves that rating. It is consistently good and cant be beat on price.

One of the staff members was rude and heavily sarcastic when asked about a menu option. Then after ordering my soup I found a short hair in it. Definitely never going back.

I was plesantly surprised how good this little French Cafe is. Sandwhiches are $8 and soups are $4. Fresh local vegetables & great ingredients, well worth it.
