Nothing to write home about. I had the tri-tip on ciabatta bread and a cup of cannelloni bean soup AKA Pasta Fagioli (I guess California has to be different...knowing this state I would not be surprised if the Attorney General banned the use of Fagioli for the fear that maybe one person in the world may be offended by the 1st half of the word and therefore deem it better to just refrain from its use. The place is very nice looking and clean. The staff is friendly. The soup was tasteless. I dont use salt. After being quite generous with the salt, I still did not detect a taste coming from the bowl. The tri-tip was good. I was under the impression that ciabatta bread was hard. I am pretty sure they put it on seedless rye. Either way I liked it. Also, the sandwich I had was listed under panini but it was a sandwich. It was a sliced, soft bread, which was not grilled. A Panini is a sandwich made from a small single serving sized loaf of bread cut open, filled with whatever, and then grilled. There are no deviations from that. Any deviations, and it isnt a panini. Plain and simple. Just another annoyance. Still, it was a good sandwich.

My co-worker and I both love BLTs. I have traveled the world eating BLTs and I promised you that Ambrosia has the best BLT I have ever had. T h i ck , smoky, WARM bacon - piled high. Other restaurants around town use 1/3 that much bacon on their sandwichs. We order BLTs 2-3 times a week. Nothing better than Ambrosias BLTs. Just a tip. Dont add avocado. When you do, you get less bacon. For those reviewers who dont like waiting in line, call ahead. That is what we do. To the person who complained about waiting for a salad - did you see the freshly made salad in the case? Perfect for people in a hurry. I love sitting outside, people watching, while I scarf down 1/2 of my BLT. I cant eat the whole thing at one sitting. $7.50 price for lunch and a snack for later is a good deal to me. Blonde hair, heavy set lady very rude!!!! Food is few days old not fresh!!!! Customer service is very bad, hispanic employees with a strong accent and a mentality where they see them Selfs as superior to thier customers!!! Excuse me if you cant even respect a customer not listen to even 1 compliant a customer has after a employe makes a mistake, what kind of business is this. The blonde hair heavy set lady clearly spoke english, I heard her speaking to other customers and when i asked her for some help, she literally shut me up by saying no english and walked off. They gave me and everyone else a very rude message that your wrong we the employees of this business are right, if you like it eat if there is any issue just leave!!!!

This place is horrible. They had no french toast when it was breakfast time and still had it on the menu. They were out of some fruit as well. The man working at the register didnt know about anything on the menu. He also didnt tell me that it would cost more to dine in until after I received the receipt and asked why it was different than what he told me. I asked for a side a fruit and I never got it until I went back up to the counter. The blonde, heavier lady was very rude and not approachable whatsoever. I would not bother wasting your time coming here. Go somewhere else if you need food. Youll get better service and have the things you want. This was my first and last time coming here.

This seems to be a place where they just arent interested in the details. Fresh fruit looked like it had been cut days ago... Slimy watermelon, translucent melon. Multiple mistakes on our order, including not putting the ingredients that are actually part of the original description in the menu. (No avocado on the Cafe Panini, etc.) Once corrected, the panini was decent, but nothing special considering the other options out there. No refills on drip coffee either. Overall, just a subpar experience and I wont be back or recommend to anyone.

The quality of the food is amazing. The soups are different each day, and there are wonderful pasta salads. My favorite is pasta with blue cheese, peaches and pecans. The specials change with the season, so everything is fresh and they have a great beer and wine selection. They also do half sandwiches. The staff is friendly and professional. They make you feel very welcome. The windows and outdoor courtyard look out onto the beautiful 1880s era Catherdral of the Blessed Sacrament. Just a wonderful place to eat.

Nice little restaurant that looks more expensive than it is. Awesome for brunch or lunch. Wide array of dishes that veer towards the lighter side. Prices are fair. They do have wine. Sitting outside in the patio is glorious especially on a beautiful spring day. often music buskers in area playing for money, so it makes a nice background.

Pretty good food. Had the breakfast burrito as recommended. Large cup of coffee and burrito $10. Walk up to counter to order then they bring it out to you... so not much service required. Across the street from the Cathedral. Not much Sunday business while here at 11am but people are showing up. Outside seating also available.

Ambrosia is overall ok. I have found that their dishes are a "hit or miss". I have some favorites and I have also had some crappy food. I would recommend their "gorilla shake" and salmon sandwich (which they rarely have). The food is ok, what has made it a staple for Capitol staffers and state workers is the location...

I had a catered breakfast for our work group and I am so grateful that Ambrosia did an amazing job. The food was spectacular (quiche) and the fruit was the best. My first thoughts were "wow they didnt skimp on the quality of fruit" which is so often the case. Ill be bringing more of our business this way. Thank you

Bad uneatable food. Bad service. Got the "Roasted eggplant sandwich" and it was super cold, luttece looked couple days old and even rotten inside the sandwich. It looked disgusting. I looked into the sandwich only after I ate half of it so they refused to refund me for this thing that does not get to be called food

Its a Sunday before 11 am and their selection is so poor! I asked for a bagel, no more, I asked for a croissant, no more. One eemployee in the front only so it takes a long time to get a hot chocolate. Its a cute place and employees were nice but what a crappy selection.

I am from outta town and was looking for a fun cute place to eat at the place looked inviting, but they didnt get my order right, I am just disappointed in this place. And they say they are open until 3pm on a Sunday and started closing early at 11am I felt rushed.

Small cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. Order at the counter breakfast and lunch selections. Sandwiches are good but not great. Service is friendly but need training on knowledge of the menu items. Located within a block of the State Capitol.
