Im not even a Vegan and I loved it! So lets be honest, for those who arent Vegan, the concept is often foreign and confusing. Most non-Vegans wont even give a place like this an honest try. That said, I wanted to write this review from my standpoint in the hopes that other non-Vegans may give it a try. So what did I order? Well, I ordered a burger. Of course its a Vegan burger. I ordered the "Bleu Cheese" Mushroom Burger. It comes on a multi grain bun and the patty is made of sprouted chana beans and fresh veggies. It comes with delicious grilled marinated mushrooms, grilled onions, lettuce, bell pepper, fresh jalapeno slices. This burger was flavorful, fresh and filling. They also have an assortment of cold sandwiches, wraps, salads and spring rolls to choose from. As for drinks, the have a wide selection of teas, smoothies and pressed juices. We ordered fresh strawberry lemonade and an iced tea, which were also very good. To other non-Vegans, I think that you will be pleasantly surprised if you are willing to give something a try here. There are also plenty of items that may turn you off or require developing a taste for them. My only criticism for Baagan would be that the selection of items on the menu that would feel more accessible to a non-Vegan to try for the first time is limited. Now, its entirely possible that they arent exactly going for us but I say consider extending an olive branch out a little and you may help bring more people a little closer to your healthy and conscientious way of eating.

Ive been sitting here for an hour without food. Shortly after ordering, I overheard a conversation between the guy cashiering, and a woman in the back. She said, "You cant print out this many orders at once!!!" He said, "These were already printed when you left." Then they kept bickering. Clearly, there are some staffing/procedural/communication issues going on here. We came with a friend who was served and done eating a full half hour to 45 minutes before us. People showed up after us, and ate before us. I guess they lost our order?? In any case, in this small of a restaurant, how could you miss the fact that people who ordered arent eating? Oh, right. You cant even find their orders. The cashier came out after about 45 minutes, and asked me if I ever got my order. When I told him I hadnt, he said hed go look into it, and brought me out a cup of lentil soup. Its 100 freaking degrees outside. Maybe a free smoothie? A piece of cold cheesecake? A lemonade? Nope. Hot soup. The food LOOKS good, although, I may never know (Im not eating the damn soup). I could die before getting service, and Im not fully convinced theyd notice in the next 30 days... This place is also much more expensive than a single dollar sign is purported to be. Save yourself a few (ok, really several) dollars, and at least an hour of your life, and go somewhere else.

Fantastic food with painfully slow service. Phone in your order if you value your time. My friend ordered one entree and a shake, I ordered two entrees and a shake. He ordered after me but was served and done with his meal a solid 40 (and counting) minutes before my food was served. We both ordered to go, but his meal was served to him for dining in (which wound up working out because they took so long to prepare my order). The restaurant didnt do anything to acknowledge the obviously slow service, even though people were looking over their shoulders toward the kitchen every couple of minutes. We watched other customers suffer a similar experience, despite a fairly empty restaurant. Also, $$ and no side of anything comes with the rather small entree... dont pre-tip.

The worst. Cold atmosphere. No breakfast items and not accommodating. They open at nine on Sunday and none of the hot items on the menu are available until 1030. That means your restricted to cold sandwiches, wraps and smoothies even though the restaurants open? Seriously Ive tried this place several times and each time is a cold and impersonal experience. the staff isnt accommodating and I cant imagine how this restaurant will stay in business very long. The positive reviews have to be largely influenced by friends and family members.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Baagan!! I eat there at least twice per week and wish I could eat there every day. My favorite things are veggie wrap (with pesto sauce instead of cheesy), Kitcheri soup, Fridays soup, ALL cheesecake flavors, Peanut Butter Cup shake, veggie quinoa quesadilla... But honestly, nothing I have ever ordered was even average.. Its always DELICIOUS. Most times I go to places I cant even find one thing I would like to order... but when I go here, its hard to decide out of all the yummy choices. If you havent tried it yet, GO!!

Angelique Miller, owner of Zest Kitchen, formerly Baagan, has one of the best, most versatile menus of any vegan restaurant Ive been to. And there have been a lot. The mushroom/goat cheese panini is my all time favorite sandwich, though the Zest nut burger is a close 2nd. The Prana bowl is another of my favotites. The seasonal cheesecakes are so good, an absolute must try. You will not be disappointed. Whenever I have guests, this is my go-to place to take them.

This was my first time coming here. I ordered the veggie burger and it was delicious! I thought I would miss the side of fries that you normally get when eating a hamburger but that wasnt the case. I was stuffed after eating this! The only negative I have was that I asked for no onions on the hamburger for my husband because hes allergic. The cashier neglected to tell me that they put onions in the patty! Overall, yummy food.

Great food! However when I first arrived, there was no one at the counter and the family in front of me had to hit the call bell a few times.. also once my food was served, no server came up to ask how I was doing but asked the only other person there how they were doing...not sure why... So my only advice is, lighten up, be more friendlier, and be attentive. Other than that, love your food.

Best food in Roseville, hands down. Really dedicated to keeping their stuff clean-sourced and organic. Got a panini (gluten free) and a smoothie and Ill be full for the rest of the day. If you wanna eat vegan that tastes unreal, go here. Also showed up near their closing time and they were happy to serve us. Brought water bowl out for the dog. Great people great food. 6 stars out of 5

This place was awesome! Our family eats only organic at our house. So this place was definitely a place we would eat at. Organic and non gmo! Love it. The Bagaan burger was so yummy. We also tried the cheescake ,peanut butter cup shake, and the handmade lemonade. We will definitely be back! Oh and the prices? They are perfect!(For high quality, organic , fresh food!!!)

Im in no way a vegan, but I thought Id try the food. I got the tiger mountain mushroom burger and got a kombucha to drink. Both are delicious! When my burger was brought to me, the cool said that the lentil chips he made are the first, so I was the first to try them. Ive got to say, those were amazing. If they sold those as an appetizer, Id buy them easily!
