Service was awful. Food was just as bad. Everyone is super nice, just very bad at their job. We sat at the bar.(which had a direct view of the kitchen window) We didnt get refills on our drinks for the longest time. Calamari took at least 30mins to come out. We watched the table behind us ask where their food was, all the manager and server kept saying was it should be soon. All this time i watched food sitting in the kitchen window(the entire time i was waiting on calamari...30mins) then the manager brings them the food that had been sitting that whole time! The fish and chips was tasteless, all grease and bread. The coleslaw was not edible. And Im really not sure where yall buy your tartar, or if yall make it, but change it. It is TERRIBLE! Last thing I wanna add is, we watched five females fix their hair behind the bar, never washed their hands afterwards and then continued on serving.

The restaurant smells great when you walk in, but I was disappointed with my experience overall. As a party of 1, I had been quoted a 5 minute wait time, but it took twenty minutes and a reminder in order to be seated finally. It also took over a half an hour just to get water to my table. After moving into the sun since the shaded area was freezing, it took another half an hour to get food. My food arrived cold and they hadnt gotten my order right either. My water wasnt filled once, and I watched other tables get better service throughout my visit. I really think that my waitress Veronica was the reason that I had a bad experience, because the other employees were much friendlier and more efficient. I dont know that I would visit this restaurant again given other choices.

This is like 3.5 stars. My wife and I wanted to try this place since our first trip to PRS last year. We arrived before 8pm on a Friday evening. No wait to be seated, but service was slow. It took about 80 minutes from shot down to paying the check. I was relaxing, so it wasnt much of a bother, but other customers seemed annoyed. The space is comfortable, not too packed, and enjoyable. The staff was pleasant and amicable, and the food was ok. The salads were heavily dressed and they really give a lot of bread...in all dishes. We had the burrata (with bread, no veggies), panzanella salad (way more brad than veggies), and kale/quinoa salad (so much quinoa). So many carbs. The ingredients were quality and fresh, but the dressing on salads was too much.

Very disappointed by the older male server, I didnt get his name. He took our order then we never saw him again. If he had come back to check on us we would have told him we were unhappy with the flavor with the clam pasta dish and would have liked to put some additional salt on it. My braised lamb was good for the most part, some a little dry. I would have ordered more beer and drinks if our server had asked. Ive seen other negative reviews about this guy and am wondering why he still word there. Maybe he owns the place. We work hard for the limited amount of vacation funds and are disappointed that we chose to spend it here. We walked out unsatisfied and unhappy.

I came here for the first time on one of the first weekends I moved to SF and was exploring the North Bay. Since then I’ve been back a few times, including most recently last weekend. Not surprisingly, brunch on the weekends is very busy, but the restaurant has a fair amount of seating so they can generally squeeze you in without more than a 10 minute wait. That said, patio tables tend to be in higher demand - especially when the weather is nice. Food was fresh, had good presentation, and tasted great. Service was friendly and efficient. It’s a bit expensive for a roadside diner/cafe, but when you consider you’re in West Marin, the prices make more sense.

Likes: generous seating choices - Bar area, main dining, and outdoor patio with nice garden. Fresh ingredients, big local mussels, good lamb burgers, fresh arugula, crunchy fries, delicious crab and lobster melt. Dislikes: small plate mussels dish was loaded thin buttery lemon broth, lacking the mussel flavor. Only one choice of IPA on tap. Veggie kabob over brown rice was over-priced, plain, unimaginative, under seasoned and tasteless; in other word, not much thoughts put into this dish. Overall service was average. Suggestion: All burger places should hop on the sweet potato fries bandwagon. Its good eat.

Great farm to table menu with a variety of traditional and creative options. I started out with a bowl of clam chowder, which needed to be spiced up a bit. I was very impressed with the panzanella entree/salad that followed. The bone in chicken breast was cooked to juicy perfection with just the right amount of crunchy char on the outside. Yum! The place was slammed with a wedding party but the service as still friendly and pretty quick. Great place to mingle with the locals/regulars as well. They start shutting down at 9pm so don’t come too late. @Frazier_Far_Out

We just had a light dinner here. We tried the Prince Edward Island Mussel in a Tequila Cream and the Cobb Salat - both very well done. I also had the Watermelon Margarita - yummie. And we went back the next day for more ;o). For lunch we tried the Fish & chips, with Lagunitas IPA beer batter, hand-cut fires & amazing coleslaw and the Hangtown fry Drakes oysters fried with bacon cooked with three eggs and for dinner Fettuccine with Tomales Bay mussels and clams and tomato, garlic & white and their outstanding Bread Pudding. All absolute winners!

Yo voy a Station House Café dos veces hace mucho tiempo. La comida es muy deliciosa. Tiene un gran ambiente. Yo pedi calamares era muy sabrosa. El servicio es muy bien. Los camareros son muy amables. Sus aperitivos son fantásticos. Un poco caro, pero vale la pena.

Rude service, overpriced food, quality overall gone seriously downhill over the past 5 years. Ate there 2015 spring for lunch. Ive eaten here for 30 years and am sorry to report this current overall disappointment. Both turkey chili and chicken salad sandwich had very little meat. Chicken entrees are not taken seriously on current menu. Fond memories of creative presentation of chicken pot pie, vegetarian shepherds pie, and former signature real "chips" with fish & chips entree. Will avoid eating there from now on.

Have been going there for years, but saddened to see how the prices have gone up, menu items have been dropped, and the quality has really gone down hill. As a local, this place certainly has changed, and not for the best. No fish and chips for lunch! overpriced sandwiches dont even come with fries. Ordered fried oysters and a small caesar salad last week. paid over 20 dollars and got three oysters. I guess all the tourists that eat there are happy.

Since we ate here a little over a year ago the prices went up 20-30%. IMHO, the food quality did not, was still average & overpriced. The last time my dining partner got food poisoning from the oysters served (went to a bay area physician & confirmed the food illness). Ive been to this restaurant many times over the years. A few years ago the restaurant had a different owner & great food! Luckily, there are several other restaurants in the area.
