This Indian restaurant was one of the better ones Ive been to. They offered all the traditional items, but also some things that are new to me (such as the Yak dumplings). We have a lot of Indian restaurants in the greater Houston area, and many of them are top-notch establishments, but this place was better in several ways. The lamb was cooked wonderfully, which is not always the case at many Indian restaurants Ive been to, and the other proteins were cooked perfectly as well. The staff was fast and friendly, the location is nice, and overall we had a great time. One of the managers (or maybe the owner) got a bit too excited about me providing a Yelp review, which I did. But he seemed to be a bit too pushy about it. Not sure what thats all about -- I guess they have to get a certain number of high reviews each month in order to maintain some listing, or what-not. I gave them much deserved high praise -- but it was just odd that they were so pushy/eager to have the reviews on Yelp. They even offered to extend my parking garage validation if I agreed to provide a good review (this was something I didnt like -- because the place is good enough that they shouldnt have to bribe people for good reviews... it will get good reviews because it is really good). Sadly, the parking validation didnt work for us so we ended up paying full price for the parking garage. Maybe we were at the wrong garage? In any event -- its a great place, excellent food, and friendly people (aside from the overly-excited-about-Yelp manager). :) Wed go here again for sure.

Firstly, I have grown up on Nepali and Tibetan food, and other than the momos - nothing is even close to being himalayan - neither Nepali nor Tibetan. And even with the momos, the sauce is not completely authentic. 90 percent of the menu is Indian and not Nepali - the Alu Tama tastes nothing like how its supposed to, the phing is more chinese than tibetan. You dont become Tibetan or Nepali by decorating your walls with tibetan artifacts. I spoke to the waiters in Nepali - they (the cook, owners as well) are not tibetan, nor buddhist - Now for Yak - great gimmick - but its not served in a single restaurant in Nepal, Sikkim or Darjeeling - what you get is Yaks milk tea with millet flour and yaks milk butter (which they dont have ) and lots of dried yaks milk cheese, and sometimes yaks meat jerky. Also nobody eats Naan in Nepal, and Basmati rice is from the western Himalayas - Nepalis eat short grain sticky rice, and flatbread made of buckwheat and millet. Having said that for what it is, North Indian food with some Nepali influence and a couple of tibetan dishes unique to just this restaurant, the food is pretty good in comparison to the other horrendous Indian restaurants in Pasadena.

Very rude customer service and didnt want to honor the groupon. Asking for extra that wasnt mentioned in the criteria of the groupon. They wanted us to purchase meal at full price. Simply because my niece isnt a big eater. They claimed they didnt make enough to redeem the groupon. At the end even disrespected saying "if you are poor, dont come here to eat".Even if we experienced this horrible treatment ever in our lives we still ended up giving 15% gratuity based on the original amount of the check just to show we have class. Being a longtime groupon user I found it absurd and will never go back there. We will also let all our friends and families know about the horrible service there. No wonder business is down in the restaurant. I hope groupon discovers and stops those businesses from doing this to other people.

On my first dinner visit recently, I had the Clay Oven Roasted Mixed Platter (chicken, lamb, and shrimp) and my dad had the Chicken Tikka Masala. We shared sides of garlic naan and rice, and their Masala Teapot. I liked the garlic mint chicken the best out of all the meats on my platter. The shrimp were pretty good too. The lamb was a letdown though; it was way overcooked, with no lamb flavor really. Service here was friendly enough but not very fast. It was also a little weird. It was like it was the first day on the job for the staff and they seemed awkward. Not a bad dinner, but I think I would only come back to try the lunch buffet special that most people mentioned.

Had a lovely dinner at this restaurant last night. The food was reminiscent of Chinese and north Indian food but had its own kick. The chicken curry, lamb mo-mo, and a garbanzo beans dish were delicious. Staff was attentive without being overbearing and were very patient with our many questions. Nice atmosphere, welcoming and colorful. Were definitely going back! Everyone should get off Colorado and try this place!

The mo-mo will leave you wanting moh These are some of the best dumplings Ive had in LA My first impression of the chicken karai was that it looked dry but I was surprised as to how tender and juicy it was at first bite. The most tender chicken Ive ever tasted. The shrimp curry vindalou was flavorful with a harmony of Himalayan spices. I definitely need to come back here to try everything.

Nice atmostphere. We came here to check out the place and sample food and came at the right time. It was saturday and they have AYCE for $10.99 per person. Food are authentic tibetian food. It is almost same as indian food since they almost use the same herbs or aromatics. I tasted all of the foods on the buffet and they are good, not salty or bland. For the price, it is worth it.

I thought from the reviews that this place would be incredible, but the vegetable dish we ordered was almost certainly a frozen pack of mixed vegetables thrown in some sauce. The other dishes we tried tasted diluted. The one thing worth trying was the Himalayan- marinated lamb (or chicken), which was delicious and served on a sizzling hot plate.

Overall the food is good and flavorful. The Mint and Garlic Chicken was excellent. Different from Chinese style dishes with the same name. Chicken was cooked very well. We tried the Yak Chili and that was disappointing. The meat was tough and this version of "chili" is not what I would call chili. Its more like a stir fry.

Very nice people! The food was delicious. I ordered momo, of course, and some hot tea. I came by myself and the waiters were so kind to me. Im Nepali myself, so it was great to connect with my culture. Theres also a small Nepali store next to the restaurant. Make sure to visit it :) Theres some good stuff in there.

All you can eat Buffet for 9.99 is good healthy food. Vegetarian friendly. Lunch buffet is lightly spiced. Probably only restaurant of its type in old town. Location is more low key quiet with relaxing music. Monday and Tuesday are not busy for lunch so if you like a lighter crowd plan to go at those times.

Very cute and small Tibetan restaurant in Pasadena. It is very well decorated inside with many Tibetan artifacts, paintings, and music. The food is great and prices are affordable. On weekends, they have an all you can eat brunch buffet which includes champagne. Highly recommend this place.
