We ordered for delivery, to find one of the main entrees was missing, and the naan was obviously not fresh. When we called to report the missing entree, they said that they had accidentally given us an extra order of naan instead, and thought that we were being unreasonable to request that they bring the missing $12 entree that we had already paid for. They finally agreed to bring it. An hour later we called back when it had not arrived and they said it was on its way. It never came. Being considerate because it was valentines day and they were probably swamped, we called back the next night. The guy who answered the phone was friendly and asked his supervisor what to do. We could hear them talking, and the supervisor told him that they would not deliver to us, but we could pick the food up. The guy volunteered to deliver the food himself, and she would not let him, so he gave her the phone to explain why. She told us that they were not delivering food that night. So we asked her what night they would be delivering food. She changed her story and said, "actually the go-to guy might not show up until later." We asked what time we should call back, and she said an hour later. We ended up not calling back, because after all of the attitude we were not sure if we could trust them with our food. We would have given them 2 stars if the food was good, but the naan was old, and we could only find 5 different vegetables (that looked like they came from a frozen veggie package) in the vegetable korma, which was supposed to have "nine garden fresh vegetables". We could go on... There are good indian restaurants in Pasadena, such as Mezbaan Indian Cuisine, so dont waste your time with Sitar.

Decent prices for an indian buffet close to home? Im in! PARKING: Street or shared lot in the back. SERVICE: Theres a lot of room for improvement here. We were the first party in the restaurant for lunch, and the waiter was a bit laggy as if we inconvenienced him to be there. I mean, theres not much service to a buffet aside from clearing plates and delivering drinks and naan. Service was sluggish. FOOD: -Garlic Naan: I love that naan is on the thinner side - great for dipping and not too filling! There was significant garlic flavor. -Lamb: This was one of my favorites! To be honest, I never order lamb at indian restaurants. This lamb was not gamey at all and had a wonderfully light flavor without any gameyness. -Tikka Masala: Most of the meat was dark meat- just the way I like it! Great sauce for dipping. -Tandoori chicken: Super moist chicken - this is right up Aleks alley as its lightly flavored. Overall, Id be back for food alone - not service!

This is what happens when I cheat on my favorite Indian restaurant... I ordered from here because I had to work late for dinner and this was closer than my regular Indian place. Ive had the buffet before, so I figured itd be okay... Lets just say, I was SO disappointed in the general meal. Chicken Tiki Marsala - this was SO salty. Usually marsala is rich and has a spicy texture.. but this was very watery and salty. I added some water to dilute the saltiness. Garlic Naan - pretty good. Saffron rice - This was completely tasteless. The menu said it has peas in it... NO peas. I dont usually eat rice but the saffron rice at my usual Indian place is AMAZING. So I figured every Saffron Rice would be great... NOPE. And mine had a SEED in it. I think a person should stick with the buffett and not order the individual plates because Im really disappointed in my meal. Delivery - They came within 45 min. So that was good. The delivery guy was nice.

I have eaten Indian food all over this planet including traditional home cooked Indian cuisine and I have to say that this place has to be the most tasteless and bland Indian food I have ever had. Indian food is typically very flavorful, and a good Indian chef knows how to blend spices and flavors together in a colorful and savory way. This place missed the mark completely. Additionally, the service was nothing special. In fact, my wife and I happened to stop in because we saw a sign outside advertising they a dinner special. When we got our check, the waiter had tried to charge us full price and I had to point out to them that the sign outside had a different price for the dinner special. I would not return to this place. There is a much better Indian place just down the street if you are looking for Indian cuisine in this vicinity. Anyone giving this place a good review is not a connoisseur of great Indian cuisine.

Im not sure if this place is under new ownership, but the name has changed. Its now Bollywood Masala. My experience was great. Im from out of town traveling on business and I always make a point to go to an indian restaurant for dinner at least one night. I picked this one simply because it was close to my hotel. The service was great. Its always a little awkward going out to eat alone, (or maybe Im just awkward) but having a great meal makes it worth it. The food was great; I especially loved the samosas. The kheer was also delicious and you could actually taste the rosewater. Also, I never once had to ask for my glass to be refilled which is a pretty big accomplishment considering I drink a ton of water when I eat. Were talking 4 or 5 refills without having to ask. Overall, I think its definitely worth a try!

I liked this place before. However, during Valentines Day 02/14/2014 when I visited with my Family, I was very disappointed over all. First, the manager didnt accept my Living Social voucher, even though the deal didnt have any day restriction. The Manager came up with his own decision. Then, he refused it, he asked me if I still would like to eat here? that was very unprofessional.. Next, the servers were college students not proper trained restaurant servers and didnt know on how to give good service. Lastly, the food is not really the best you can get.. They could have at least prepared it well. All I can say now is I am never ever going to visit this place again. The Managers attitude changed the whole perception of this place for me now.

For the price, the buffet is delectable. I came in here with expectations of standard fare Indian lunch buffet, an adequate meal to be enhanced with the liberally included california spakling wine mimosas! What I found was one of the best chicken tikka masalas i have ever had at a buffet. I normally avoid the tikka masala like real italians avoid american spaghetti and meatballs, but this was really top notch. The mutton curry was superb, the palak paneer very good, and the rice was very buttery and moist. Throughout, the service was excellent. I will return here promptly, and that I enjoyed this meal sufficiently enough to make this declaration is a surprise to me. Highest recommendation.

Never ever go to This place. 1.food sucks 2. They can ruin ur party and embarrasse you in front of ur friends and family if u have booked banquet for party and when u reach, u found out that he gave it to some one his close friend. 3. He can tell you go to hell, he doesnt need money( cas he has 45 gas stations and two 7/11 store.) so instead of arranging something els, he show me this attitude. If I can I would arrest this person for what he did. This review comes from Indian, it will help you. You can find better food and customer services than this place. Dont go... Food sucks.. Dont go....food sucks..
