Pho Banh Mi Che Cali (or BMC for short), is one of my go-to Vietnamese chains here in Los Angeles because of its great value, delicious yet simple offerings, and quick service. This location is right next to Pasadena City College (PCC), and is one of the nicer BMCs in terms of space, decor, and cleanliness.They recently updated the inside with bigger tables which is a nice plus. Its hard to beat the value of BMC, and I typically get the buy 2 get 1 free Banh Mi. At $3.50 each, I can get 3 Banh Mi for just above $7.00 after tax. Banh Mi travel well, so I typically take them on hikes or on a road-trip. They have traditional choices for their protein, nothing fancy, but all equally delicious. My personal favorite is BBQ Chicken (not the shredded chicken). This BMC, like all the others, offers the same no thrills simple menu of classic Vietnamese restaurant dishes. This is why I believe BMC excels, because it only offers a few items, makes them delicious, and offers them at a good price/value. BMC in general earns 4 stars instead of 5, simply because it isnt a "blow your mind away" experience, but simply a great eatery, with good food, at an excellent price.

The first thing that I noticed is that its cheap. I ordered two banh mi and two boba for 12$. Thats a good deal for LA. Next was the presentation! Brought out on a plastic but nicely ornate plate was a welcome change from the typical red or blue rectangles of the mall. Not the fanciest I know but perfect for its price range. The food was excellent as well, very flavorful. I had the lemongrass chicken while my wife had the bbq pork. Each had its own distinct flavor that lends itself to a banh mi in all the right ways. I will definitely be back, well worth the 30 min drive.

The service was amazing. I came in a little late and still was treated with the same amount of kindness as everyone else. The Egg rolls were amazing, same with the boba drinks! The chicken curry wasnt as flavorful as Ive come to expect from curry and the chicken still had some bones in it, which i should have expected, Im just saying. But the orange chicken was good, the chicken was a little dry but really good for what i paid for! I will be coming back!

My boyfriend and I are regulars here and we know what we love: the shrimp noodle soup and the Buy 2, Get 1 Free Banh Mi deal (we usually get the beef patty with lemongrass). The prices are very reasonable and the food is tasty. The parking can be tricky, since the lot is tiny and street parking is often full.

The best Banh Mi sandwich shop in the Pasadena area directly across from PCC. They offer a 3 fer 2 deal which cant be beat outside of Little Saigon. Ive also had their Pho, which is presented as a very generous portion, piping hot. As it should be. The icing on the cake is that the joint is open late.

My favorite item is the red curry in coconut milk. They make it the best of anybody I know. I custom order it with mixed seafood for a little extra money. Large portion and hot with a lot of spice. Havent tried the sandwiches. Been coming here since 1993 so I prefer the sit down Thai menu items.

I had to wait longer for my food than I expected even though it wasnt busy, but Im the kind of guy who has time to write reviews so my time isnt all that valuable. It was very tasty and well priced. I had the pho noodles. It came with almost too much meat. Im very full and satisfied.

Their food is really cheap and filling, and their service is average. I go here often for a quick meal, and if any PCC students are feeling time constrained, you can get the "Grab-n-Go" box they have at front of the cashier. Their sandwiches are cheap and good too.

They have a lot of options available to eat. A good local spot to eat. Unfortunately, they did increase their prices to $7.99 for most Pho plates. Limited parking spaces available, but every time I go I do manage to get a parking spot!

Staff are courteous and always accommodating. Pho is fantastic and bbq chix is delicious. Ive been to the place twice already and its my favorite pho place for now. Prices are reasonable too. And, boba is buy one get one free.

Picked up 2 orders of Veggie pho tonight (10/15/16). My wife, my son, and myself all got nausious after eating the broth (me and the boy actually threw up). Will never again eat here... ...the broth is not even good...

Not all the food in this shop are great. The service during the peak hour can be somewhat bad. Stir-fried noodle and their noodle dishes, however, worth a trip to go and try out. Recommended by an Asian.

Located cross street of PCC. Super convenient for after or before class snack, suck like a to go spring roll. The PHO taste just awesome, too. Its been very fast when the female cashier is on duty.
