I knew from the moment we walked in and I said, "do you want to go somewhere else?" The food looked old and not healthy ....the server, behind the glass serving counter was VERY non-welcoming. He was also rude when asked a question. We ate in, against my gut feeling and common sense. I asked if I can substitute what I got, the creamed spinach for the "lentil soup" he said that I could not exchange food. I told him that I did not like it and I want the soup instead. He reluctantly gave me the soup. The entire food selection was absolutely horrible. The preparation to the presentation and then to the palate.....disgusting!!!! Needless to say , I acquired food poisoning. I am in the bed right now writing this review, warning others...DO NOT EAT THERE!!! Listen to you first voice and impression when you walk through the door. As a guest at The Crowne Plaza Hotel and a visitor to Long Beach, I will never visit that restaurant again, nor will I recommend it to anyone!!!!! Sick!

We love this place and go there regularly for takeout. The food here is made quite mild for the American palate but it still has plenty of flavor. The people who run it are super nice. Both of my teenagers cheer when I say were going to drive 20 minutes across town to go to their takeout. Its not like going to Little India, but its fast, convenient, affordable and really very good. And so much healthier than most of the crap fast food out there. Lots of nurses and staff come here from Long Beach Memorial because its healthy. Whenever we get takeout, I look over at the people driving through the Burger King across the parking lot and think, Oh, you people are so stupid.

Worst Indian food ever! If you can even call it that. I would rather eat McDonalds than eat here. 1. The place was filthy dirty and that shouldve been my first red flag. 2. The Aloo Gobi was disgusting it tasted like refrigerator and was sweet not even spicy even though I ordered it that way. 3. The saag paneer was horrible and had no flavor just tasted like mush. 4. The rice was bland and hard. 5. The naan was hard and tasted like it was just warmed up. 6. We ordered raita and it was plain yogurt with nothing in it! 7. The lamb was not lamb it was beef!! Like wtf??? If I could leave zero stars I would. Do not waste your money here.

I HATE this place, it wasnt as good as I thought it would be. My PARENTS also hated this place. They threw out the Biryani (every grain of rice). I would not even call this a Biryani. This was basically just mixed chicken curry with rice. Also the whole thing was wet, and soggy. The only thing that I liked of what I ordered was the Aloo Paratha, but I wouldnt say it was great. To me, it was just OK. I shouldnt even have gone to this PLACE! And I cant believe I am saying this, but my DAD can cook BETTER than this!

KEEP AWAY !!! I cannot believe anyone would give this anything more than zero stars; they must have gone to a different restaurant than I did. Atrociously bad food in unhygienic place. I was the only one for lunch; that should have been a hint. The dal was way over salted; vegetables were clearly from frozen bag given a quick sauté; only half a naan served [all other indian restaurants I have been in give full naan]. Tiny, dirty kitchen; no restroom

Small strip-mall Indian food. Good service, and owner seems nice. Naan is marginal - I agree with other reviewers on that; rubbery and tasteless. Chicken Tikka Masala is great, as is Chicken Curry (spicy they say, but not very). I really like the spinach too. The rice Im not crazy about. Its always a bit on the hard side for me. I got there every week though, its not super but definitely enjoyable enough to make me come back.

Pathetic food!!! Ordered from DoorDash and dropped the food back at the restaurant. The owner doesn’t know what’s Baigan bharta is sent some other dish when I confronted him and asked to have a dinner with me at other restaurant he walked away. Makhani daal was too salty and spicy. I won’t even go to this restaurant and won’t suggest anyone. They don’t know what Indian food is. Reviews from an Indian guy

I had a craving for Indian food, and I went to this place. This is like "bad" Indian fast food. I thought it was a buffet, but it is like these Chinese places that sell by Combo. The food is not good at all. I do not know what they put to color the food but they are not good spices. Actually, it does not taste anything like authentic Indian. I just ate half and the rest and threw it away. Bad choice.

So yummy! I live near the tenderloin Indian part and traveled to outer Richmond to give this place a try and oh boy! I am glad I did! Had okra, eggplant sauce, naan and the tandoori chicken. Was so good! My date is UK born Indian man who enjoyed the meal as much as I did. I wish this place all the success and happy to see that good restaurants now spreading all over the city!

Never go to this place. Both the aloo paratha and biryani was awful. I had to trash the entire stuff. The aloo paratha was full of flour and no potato at all. The biryani was an instant preparation of rice and some chicken with gravy. They do not know what is actual biryani and how it is prepared. Not recommended to visit.

The food was TERRIBLE. Had, literally, no taste. I wouldnt bother going there unless you were very desperate to find something to eat. Also the naan (bread) was garbage. It was really hard and rubbery, and it felt like it had been heated in a microwave, not freshly cooked. Even the samosas were terrible (again tasteless).

The owner is a kind and welcoming man, I always feel like Im at home. The food is rich and tasteful and the portions are good. Prices are unbeateble and I always have food left to go. Im so thankful this place exists! It can be a tight fit, but if youre on a tight budget then just deal with it, man.

Meh. Id eat it for free anytime, but it really wasnt very good. I had no particular desire to ever return; certainly not to give the place money. It wasnt *terrible*, but... it was pretty darn bland. You want Indian food thats actually good for only slightly more, go down to Natraj in Belmont Shore.

My favorite spot for authentic Indian food! The food here is incredible and the staff is so welcoming and friendly. The chicken tika marlsala is the best Ive ever had! And the various naan are so fresh and delicious. I cant wait to come back .

No taste. Quantity less. Not at all clean.- tandoori was not at all good. No salt or any taste. The same tandoori dipped in tika masala to give chicken tikka masala. Only good one was garlic chicken. Please dont waste your money

Love this place! It is Indian fast food, but absolutely delicious. The Aloo Palak is always good and so is the Chicken Masala. Go for the 2 item combo and you get two items, rice, salad and a drink for $9
