I have been eating here since they opened. Most recently for take away, which I order at least once a week for my son. They even include the soup on the luncheon special, which is very rare. I have tried other Chinese restaurants in Orinda, only to be disappointed. On one such occasion, I opened our take away order, only to discover the food was not fresh. I actually had to throw the entire order away; what a waste. Szechwan is the only Chinese restaurant we will frequent. Period. They are polite, efficient and the food is always delicious.

this is a great standby for us. though they have white table cloths, the restaurant is very family friendly - start your kids on chinese food early so they do not put up a fuss later. Our daughter has stuck w chicken chow fun over the years - from toddler to teen. Our tun loves the szechwan shrimp (me too - it is on the sweet side), Love lunch too because it comes w soup, a bit of salad, onion pastry and of course rice in addition to the main item. Makes my mouth water thinking about it.

We stopped by couple of days ago. I am from China and picky about Chinese food with high expectations of food serviced by Bay Area Chinese restaurants - not too Americanized with great deal of authenticity, if not to its entirety. This one is all right, taking consideration of its location in the small East Bay town with far less Chinese or Asian residents than other parts of Bay Area.

Food and experience is always great. The food is served hot and quickly. I usually go there for lunch and order the lunch specials which all include soup, salad, oranges, and a fortune cookie. I highly recommend this place to go and eat if youre in the mood for Chinese food or a good meal.

Decent Chinese food A cup of soup comes with lunch. Go on Tuesday or Thursday when they have Won Ton soup. Other weekdays its Hot and Sour soup.
