I recently enjoyed a delicious brunch at Rustic Tavern and enjoyed my meal very much! I had perfectly poached eggs sitting atop a bed of Brussels sprouts hash and a generous portion of smoked pulled pork. The Rustic Bloody Marys were very flavorful and enhanced with chopped bits of bacon. While the food rates a "5 star," I can only rate this restaurant a "4 star" because of the service. The restaurant was only half full, but my food took too long and had still not arrived by the time I had finished my Bloody Mary. My server was pleasant with an air of indifference &/or impatience. I mentioned I did not like celery in my Bloody Marys, and was disappointed to see a large stalk of celery and a missing lime wedge in my second order. I would have been very impressed had my server (who also made my drink) remembered those little details. The service was not dismal enough to turn me off from returning; but, I would expect superior service from a restaurant with such high caliber food dishes coming out of the kitchen and also the Lafayette location.

Had a very good lunch at rustic tavern. They have a nice patio that was perfect for warm weather. Theres also a small parking lot next door which was convenient. I had the smoked pastrami sandwich which was demigod delicious although a little greasy (but heh, its pastrami). They actually smoke it themselves in a proper smoker located outside. I would definitely have it again. Its a somewhat limited menu so if you are picky Id check the menu ahead of time. But overall very good.

Second go round for lunch, pulled pork, pork belly and pastrami sandwiches were all delicious. Next time were coming back to see if their magic with meat works on Fridays with the prime rib. Pastrami eater said it was the best they ever had, and thats saying something, my pork belly was not too fatty, with a little char, tender and flavorful. The pulled pork eater just smiled as she devoured her sandwich.

Wonderfully warm hospitality at the Rustic Tavern! The Rust-arita, a spicy twist on the classic margarita, is a great way to warm up to an excellent meal! Everything we ordered was a taste of perfection: the freshly made gnocchi, the bacon wrapped meatloaf, the salmon, and I especially liked the pork dish! mmm tasty! Great prices and delightful atmosphere! Cant wait to go back!

The food was awesome as was the service. Had the PEI Mussels for starters. Plump, tasty, delicious. The broth was amazing. We had to get extra bread to sop up all the goodness left in the bowl. The House smoked cubano was absolutely amazing. Smokey and juicy goodness. The rustic tavern burger was good but nothing close to the other two dishes

East bay resident for 25 years. Been to most brunch spots in the area and this is the best one yet. The roasted pork with poached eggs on Brussels sprout hash is the best brunch dish perhaps ever. Great Bloody Marys too. Good quick service.

The food here is excellent. Unfortunately sometimes the kitchen and wait staff seem to be a little overwhelmed and the pace of getting your food seems a bit slow. The food is definitely worth the wait though.

Perhaps the best restaurant in Lafayette...maybe not the trendiest but the best food -clean, fresh, tasty including many organic selections including vegetarian (try the outstanding veggie sandwich or salad)

WAY over priced. Dinner for two was $130 an compared to the quality and flavor of the dishes, its not justifiable. (The Hideout is a great example of food taste commensurate with cost)

Staff were excellent and the food was top notch, the Salmon was a little under seasoned but otherwise a great place to eat. All local produce too which is impressive.
