Liver and Onions is tender beef liver smothered with grilled onions, bacon, and green apples. All entrees include a choice of potato or Cajun rice and vegetables - baked potato and creamed corn in this case. The liver was cooked and seasoned to a perfect medium. It had a firm texture but wasn’t dry. The grilled onions and bacon are always a perfect pairing with liver. The green apples were a surprise and complimented the combination of flavors as well as adding a crunchy texture. The baked potato was perfect - fluffy interior with butter, sour cream and chives to cream it all up. The creamed corn is a little different than Im used to. It tasted like they put mashed potatoes in with the cream making it seem a little lumpy and not very sweet. I would definitely get this again but without the creamed corn. Thumbs up! Pork Baby Back Ribs are 1/2 rack of baby back ribs, seared over an open flame with French fries and creamed corn and served with corn bread. The ribs are quite meaty and much larger than expected. The sauce is sweet and flavorful, but there was not enough on ribs leaving them a bit dry. Also the ribs did not seem to be cooked properly. They need to lower the cooking temperature and cook for a longer time. The fries had the opposite problem. They were left a bit too long in fryer making them too crisp. I’m going to chuck this one off as an off-day, as the food is normally good here.

After clearing out the garage, house etc for new flooring and stuff, the landlady and I decided we were tired and hungry. She loves this place and Ive never been. Inside, its pretty much identical to any American diner. There are a few retro games up front, old ladies, etc. and we were probably the youngest people there and that includes the wait staff as well. It was a quiet weekday so we were seated quickly and got our drink orders fast and refills pronto because we were thirsty and it was during the crazy heatwave. I recommend ordering from the specials sections - you get all kinds of food for about $8.99. This includes an entree, two sides, a drink, bread or corn bread, and dessert. We both opted for that. She got the Thanksgiving special and I opted for a turkey sandwich with fries and creamed corn. Meals came fast but after that service dropped off. She didnt get enough gravy with her food and I didnt get my ranch then there was no one around to refill our drinks and its like everyone just disappeared. Food tasted blah. I could barely eat my sandwich so I munched on my sides. Those werent too bad. Waitress finally came back after we were pretty much done and dropped off a check, my ranch dressing, and more drinks. Oh thanks. Ranch dressing after all my fries are gone. Ugh. Its an ok place for dessert and sides and cheap food but definitely wont be going back.

Quite a step back in time. Worth going just to enjoy the decor. Excellent split pea soup, the chicken fried steak was somewhat sinewy, but the gravy was spicy and delicious. Interesting craft beers on tap and the ability to sample a beer flight. Service was friendly and cheerful. Definately a local hangout. Worth checking out!

Katella Grill is one of my favorite restaurants in Orange. It is a great dinner with good food and wonderful servers. Breakfast is amazing and its served all day. This is a Orange family owned business which makes me feel good to support. Even of Sundays, I havent had to wait more than 10 minutes.

Our food was delicious, the hostess was very nice and friendly, and the overall service was great. We even got a chocolate cream pie they had, and omg was it delicious as well! I would definitely recommend this to family and friends. The prices arent that bad at all either!

TERRIBLE service. They insisted I sit at the counter because they didnt want to give a booth to a solo customer, assumedly because they thought that would result in a smaller tip. My family has been coming here for years, but I sure as hell wont be back. Buh-bye.

A family staple for more than 12 years. Excellent community minded family owned restaurant. The entire staff is always friendly and helpful and happy to see the family. A the hallmarks of what a small town diner should be.

Good food, fair prices. Decor is a little dated and old. This place is in need of a remodel or facelift. Restrooms need attention, very old and run down. But you cant beat the friendly staff, service and location.

Pretty basic diner with a pretty basic menu. I tried it once, and it was neither bad nor memorable. Prices were reasonable, but I cant think of a good reason to go back.

It smelled like old stale kitchen grease and it came from the carpet, and the food was forgettable. Hope its changed since the 11 months I was there!

This particular time I went here, the chefs screwed up the order pretty bad. The server was nice about it, but did not offer compensation of any kind
