This is my first visit to the SOCO shopping area and I wish I had found it sooner. Interesting shops, great places to eat. Portola coffee is highly rated and the latte I had was excellent. One of the best I have ever had. I drink Starbucks coffee daily and this was much better tasting in an interesting and relaxing...

OVERPRICED!!! Everything on the Menu is at Least $1 over compared to Starbucks, and Im comparing it to Starbucks who are EXTREMELY Overpriced compared to the Average Donut Shops across Orange County who serve the Exact same thing with a less fancier name. Bottom line. Average Food/Above Average Price

Just as the title says. The staff ensure your drink is excellent and are knowledgeable about coffee as well. The atmosphere invites you to stay for a chat, a book reading, or even a long study session. Dont forget to be patient when waiting for your order as these guys are creating a high quality treat.

Cant believe it took me so long to discover this gem! Very friendly and courteous service, and delicious breakfast bagels! My 2 year old was having a tantrum/meltdown and the guy there came over and gave him a banana. Just nice! Im hooked!

I love the employees at this place, always so nice and helpful. I come here and just hangout because I like to listen to the music while I surf the web. Plus, I like I can sit next to the fountain and hear that water, its very relaxing.

Weve been going here for years. Coffee and food is great, owners and counter help are always friendly and efficient. Bagels are incredible. Musoc choices are fun too. Lots of outdoor seating near a fountain. Give it a try!

I must of come on an off day for them. Service wasnt very friendly, average, but customers were cheerful and friendly. Completely out of bagels and most other items so ordered a breakfast burrito instead which was good.

This is such a cute CJ Coffee House in a calmer part of CA. The chil aquiles were soo good and such a generous portion! The decor/ ambiance is so pleasant and fresh. Lovely place for brunch with friends.
