My experience was horrific!!! This is my 3rd time going to this restaurant, once with a group, and twice for take out. In the group setting, the food took an extremely long time and the restaurant was not even that crowdy. We had to ask the waitress for water while we wait, which should have been standard practice and the waitress acted as if we were annoying her. We were not even acknowledged when we first arrive for at least 15 minutes. In fact, we had to stop the waitress who seemed to ignore us while she attended to the few people that were there to let her know that we were ready to order because we only had an hour for lunch. My second experience was take out. I called in the order for a friend and myself, and I was told that our food would be ready in 15 minutes, this was at 11:45am, we got there at 12:05, my order was ready but my friends order was not. We had to wait another 10 minutes for her order and the order was not correct. Again the waitress who was helping us, if thats what you call it, seemed to be annoyed that my friend was questioning her about her order not being correct. My 3rd encounter was take out again, the order was correct and on time, but a waitress once again seemed extremely bothered that I requested extra teriaki and sweet and sour sauce. The cooks also asked me sarcastically was I going to drink the sweet and sour sauce. This was very inappropriate. Moreover, the waitress asked me to come over to her in a small area to sign for the payment and when I put my keys down and phone to sign for the payment she picked up my key and phones and rudely ushered me out of the area in another area as I was asking her for extra teriaki and sweet and sour sauce. Because of these experiences I refuse to patronize this place with my hard earn money and be treated so poorly and disrespectful. Im sure many people that have patronioze this place will agree that the customer service at this restaurant really sucks!!!

Man... I dont know what to say. I got miso soups, edamame, happy hour rolls special, and one of their special rolls. The Miso soup were flavorless. So was the sushi special. It was three rolls and they all looked and tasted like Blend California rolls. The main flavor was the vinegar in the rice. And it got old quickly. The special roll had an unagi sauce that tasted like it was from a bottle. Im sorry to say that. The quality of the fish on the special roll was good though. The interior is okay. The lighting is dim, making it hard to read the menus. I had to use my cell phone light, but maybe thats a personal problem. The bathrooms were uninviting. The mens bathroom was dark, and it had graffiti in there. See the pictures. All of this for $47 including tip? Im sorry, but its not worth it. Any takeout sushi would have done better than this. The only thing good here really was the ambience.

The service at this location has taken a nose dive since the last time I went there. I went in today to order a party tray and was told that I should have ordered the day before. I asked how long I would have to wait for one today and was initially told that it would be no sooner than six (it was 2:30 pm at the time). I was okay with that and told the people there I could wait. About fifteen minutes later no one took my order. Finally I said to a woman, you could have just said "no" and would have done something else. So I ordered three other trays. Normally it takes only a few minutes. This time I was left to sit and wait for over thirty minutes. I was also told to pay in advance, and on my way out I heard the guy preparing the sushi give out a laugh. I guess he thought it was funny to make me wait.

The servers were friendly and attentive, however that was the highlight of our experience. We were seated at a booth, and the cover that they had on the bench was not secured so every time that I moved it would slide and end up on the floor. The restroom smelt horrible, appeared that nobody had serviced it in sometime. All these things could have been overlooked, but my family ate there the night before we were to leave Oakland and return home, only for all of us to get food poisoning. We are now 3 days out from our dinning experience and are still suffering through the affects of the meal. I will never eat there again, and caution everyone the same.

Terrible service!!! Pleasant younger sushi chef (who left after my first order of sushi was served), however everyone else in the could use some basic customer service training. The only words I can use to describe everyone else are surly and rude. My waitress was so bad I am still shocked. I will never go back to this place. Something is definitely wrong at this restaurant. Hamachi was excellent but everything else was mediocre to bad. Did not eat much of the rest of my food, but nobody asked if it was OK. Eat at this restaurant at your own risk.

Not bad, very average, at least for my experience. The sushi is just fine, but nothing to rave over. The service was good. Fairly quick, although we came on a Thursday at 5pm so it was pretty slow. The Menu was extremely confusing for me at first, maybe u dont eat enough sushi, but the menu raised more questions about what the order is than it answered. Went during happy hour so the rolls were like $1 off the Normal price. Over all not bad food or service, but nothing special either. For the price I suppose its worth it.

Fresh fresh fresh...no mucky muck sauces either. From the sake, to the sashmi and sushi...we could not find one thing to complain about. We will go again. My DIL was in Japan for a time and she and Bill knew how to order in Japanese! They were impressed...and they eat at many fine Japanese spots in the bay area. Service was attentive...not much English spoken. We really enjoyed ourselves and it was close to The Courtyard Marriott.

I rarely ever write reviews but want to warn potential future customers! This is by far the biggest joke and ripoff sushi place ever. If you like balls of all white rice and slivers of avocado etc and terrible service go here. Stay away and save your money and appetite for someplace else!!!!

Came for drinks and an appetizer. Its a nice little place to pass the time if you dont want to hang around your hotel. (I also like that the inside wall is a mirror, making the restaurant look way bigger) Had very good, attentive service. We ordered the garlic butter edamame and LOVED it.

just nasty and I didnt feel comfortable. If I asked for something they seemed it bothered them and then go talking in there language just not ok. Had me waiting while. The lady that seats people looked directly at me and continued her conversation. Just rude and I wont be going back.
