First of all, I have to say that were I not starving and also a fan of salt flavor, Jolly Rogers wouldve seriously been a fail. Their diner food is REALLY salty. Everything is really salty- the chicken, the sauces, the sides, the soups, and the dressings. Only my water wasnt salty, and I drank soooo many cups of that (haha). Their dinner plate portions are really hearty, and I love that they make so much of their food in-house (homemade tortilla chips in my chicken tortilla soup, for example). I ordered a chicken tortilla soup (tasted okay, but kinda small) and a country fried steak dinner. My soup portion was pretty tiny compared to my dinner plate. Anyhow, the flavors of their food are SO STRONG because of that sodium content, that if youre an average healthy person, you ultimately walk away feeling bloated and a bit sick. Not particularly affordable a place to eat, either. Plus the windows arent that well-insulated, so we were shivering throughout our meal from the chilly outside. :( Staff was REALLY nice, though. I really have to give them credit for that. Love these people. :)

Where would you like me to start. When we came in to have dinner being we were staying at the days in connected to this restaurant its was a pleasent start. We were seated right away by a frienly young man. Our waitresses who was very busy "Nellely" greated us with a smile. We got our food in a good amount of time and it was wonderful. But......... While eating our meal a table of 9 came in to the restaurant. After them being seated I over heard the OWNER saying multiple times UPSALE UPSALE UPSALE. After she took the large order he rushed over to ask what the large group ordered. She responded mostly chicken Alfredo. At that point he responded what NO STEAK. At this time I was over giving this man MY MONEY. Nelley you were amazing and Im sorry you have to work for a man who doesnt care about the customers and only MONEY. Its pretty sad cuz the service was wonderful and the food was really good. But he left a horrable taste in my mouth. Im only giving him a star because I have to.

When researching a restaurant that was close to sports arena I read that this place had the best Chicken Fried Steak in the Bay Area. Being a hugh fan of Chicken Fried Steaks I couldnt wait to try it. It was hands down one of the worst Chicken Fried Steak I have ever tasted!!! And the gravey was even worse. So bad I wanted to get up from my seat and teach the cook how its really done. It was deep fried and tasted like the combination of fish, French fries and what ever else was previously Fried in the grease. The mashed potatoes were really pastie also. So needless to say I only ate the vegetables. But while seated and watching food being served to other patrons, the sandwiches, burgers and salads looked good. Maybe because mine was so bad and how can you screw up a sandwich & salad.

This place is a nightmare. Dont get your beer or burger here. This place is horrible worst customer service ever I work at medical cannabis dispensary across street I stopped by to grab a bite to eat after working 12 hour shifts server had bad attitude manager had bad attitude when I complained about server manager told me to get lost and said out loud to everyone I was a pothead. Show your support for the patients in need of meds we provide every day by boycotting these people. Do not tolerate inflammatory remarks like Trump makes towards others in our community.

Service was horrible no one came to our table to even offer water and when we flagged her from behind the counter she informed us she is off I proceeded to ask irritated how are we suppose to know that she took our order as if she was irretated as she left the restaurant-because she is off-site she drops off napkins and leaves out what I can only guys is owner at end of bar and looks like could be manager walking around tending to owner horrible service WILL not be back and food was not quick to come out Disappointed. ON THE VERGE OF WALKING OUT!!!!!!!

My eggs tasted and smelt like fish. Although the owner was very nice about it and replaced my food. I had lost my appetite. When new plate was brought I had no utensils. The owner did comp my breakfast which was very sweet of him. Its a nice restaurant that I know can and has done better. Maybe the reason for todays service was all the excitement of the Raider game.

The atmosphere is so refreshing & Pleasant. T theres several televisions, its a sports Cafe . The food is delicious I had a great hash brown breakfast, eggs over medium, wheat toast well seasoned and delicious. Their prices are reasonable and waitresses friendly, they also carry beer and wines for any NFL sports shows. A place to enjoy yourself

Got here right as they opened. Staff was super friendly and the portions were good. Not super pricy for the portion you get. Would eat here again if in a rush or didnt feel like going out. Connected to the registration office of the Days Inn.

Very friendly staff and delicious food! I ordered a breakfast burrito and my girlfriend had the patty melt; both were fantastic. Its great knowing there is a really nice, new diner off of Hegenburger; I will definitely be coming back!

Jolly Rogers Dinner is my favorite when I visit Oakland. Its so convenient just right off of Freeway and close to the airport. Great place to meet a friend for breakfast before take off. I want to try nighttime for cocktails.

The food was fantastic had the breakfast pancakes hamburger patty that was the Best hamburger patty Ive ever had. The waitress was super friendly and the service was the best!!! Definitely will be coming More often.

Great diner. Food, service and music playing was great. I had the Alfredo pasta w/chicken. The Ceasar Chicken Wrap is very good. We got that to go to have after a concert. Better then Jack in the Box late at night

Family and I were exhausted and hungry. Saul took great care of us. The tri-tip dinner was excellent and the beer Prohibition by Speakeasy in SF is excellent! Highly recommended!

I was pleasantly surprised. Their tuna melt was very good. I also enjoyed the Cole slaw salad with vinagrett dressing. As I said, I was pleasantly surprised! Ill definitely go back.

Had a taste for spaghetti and meatballs actually pretty good...bar and wine selection pretty slim but the server actually served me a great red which complimented the meal.
