Like that scene where Jerry and Elaine tell George to do the opposite and he falls in love... I did the opposite of my impulse today and was rewarded with a delightful hour alone at Rockridge Cafe. Not being a fan of kale OR swiss i had no reason other than Marjies recommendation to try them in a bacon egg scramble with a warm apricot scone. It could just be the date i had an hour before... but the buzz on my taste buds says otherwise. Come fall in love at RR Cafe.

Cute environment, nice prices and very friendly staff but for the food, I guess we just came on a really bad day. I had the special waffle and my husband had the corn beef and hash. the waffle tasted like cardboard, was paper thin and hard. My husband kept piling hot sauce on the hash to make it taste half way decent.

My only regret is that I havent come here sooner. Enjoyed a delicious egg, bacon, kale, swiss, green onion scramble with whole wheat toast. The flavor was perfect! The portion was huge and could easily be shared....Although I didnt have one this time, great to know that also serve Mimosas! Next time!

Oh so many happy memories of this place. We (three irish kids on working visas in 1999) use to live around the corner form here on shafter ave. We used to just go here for the milk shakes and onion rigs alone, and brunch if we could afford it (poor students!). The chef was amazing!

This is a great place to take the family or to dine solo over coffee. They have the best diner coffee I have every had! The service is great here and I adore their "local arts" wall decor. The food was worth the wait and the lighting in here is perfect for family pictures.

I had the salmon omelette with a scone. The scone seems to have been straight out of the oven, so good. I sat at the counter, with a view of the kitchen for the enjoyment of the solo diners. Its a great place with great service, my first choice for breakfast in Rockridge.

Very busy on weekends, great fun, great service. The food is terrific. It has the feeling of a "hole in the wall" diner with a classy cuisine. You can be entertained by the chef while he makes the best omlet on the west coast. Super place.

The food is average diner food for twice the price, plus you get to wait twenty minutes for the pleasure of overpaying because all the hipsters come here to treat their hangovers.
