My husband and I were in town for the week and did a bunch of research before deciding where to have dinner. Based on all the reviews we read, we were seriously super excited for dinner at The Corner. Unfortunately, the experience didnt live up to expectations. On arrival, we were seated quickly. The restaurant was less than a third full and, at first, our waiter was very attentive. We asked about a few dishes we saw and he brought us a separate bar menu. All good so far. Their wine list was huge and when we asked for his thoughts on wines we were considering, he said the sommelier was out. No other explanation or apology. We picked a wine and ordered two appetizers. Apps were good and arrived in a reasonable time but, after about 15 minutes, he returned saying he couldnt find that wine. They must be out of it. Didnt suggest an alternative, bring back the wine list or suggest another plan of action. Frustrating. Ok, no problem, were survivors. We decided to order two glasses of wine instead. Again, server was unable to offer any insight into wines we considered. We also ordered a cheese plate and a vegetable side. We asked the waiter about the small and large plate offered. Small cheese plate had three cheeses he said. After placing our order, he came back to apologize and explain it only had two cheeses. Fine we said. But seriously, last straw. He came back to pour wine and we asked for the check. We expected an amazing dinner with top notch service. Instead we got average food and seriously disappointing service. We decided to cut our losses before ordering a few $30-40 entrees. Still, two glasses of wine and two apps rang in at >$60. No apology, recognition of slow or subpar service or explanation that this wasnt business as usual. Every aspect of our experience at The Corner was massively underwhelming. Too bad and not what we expected from a restaurant who was so well reviewed. We wont be back

Just went here with my husband for a drink before going to a show at Blue Note. The staff were really friendly and the atmosphere was fun and spacious. They have a whisky selection of over 200 whiskies. Always nice to have another bar in Napa that has some quality whisky. The lounge area had a large screen tv. Even though there was no volume, I found it distracting. Especially since the seats are far apart (spacious) and it is an effort to have a conversation. We didnt try any food. It looked like it was fine food, just didnt appeal to me... too fancy. The thing I thought was most strange is that they served my whisky in a chilled glass. Why would I want to dampen the flavor of a fine scotch? If I asked for it without ice, why would they serve it cold? Clearly whoever made this serving decision is not a traditionalist when it comes to fine whisky and has not been to Scotland.

Food and drink were fine, but the service was way too slow. We came in for Sunday brunch and the place was not that busy, but it still took us 15 minutes to get coffee and almost an hour before our food arrived. Edit: they did give us the coffees for free to make up for it.

Best wine bar in town. Patrick Albright and his team have an amazing wine selection. Must visit when in Napa Valley
