Over the years we’ve always loved to eat lunch at Turn 12, usually getting their excellent burgers and salads. While in Monterey for the “Car Week” this year we returned for that delicious repast. No disappointments. So far so good. This year however, we decided to take advantage of their BYO wine policy ($15 corkage fee gets you decent wine glasses) and had dinner there three nights in a row! I guess that says it all, really. Excellent food and among the very best ribs we’ve ever eaten.…the meat was without any fat, fell off the bone, and no knife was needed. (outstanding slaw as well) Living in Houston and having also had the highly vaunted Kansas City ribs on several occasions, there’s no doubt in my mind that these bested them. Easily. Our waitress all three nights (by our request) was Alicia and she was friendly and efficient. The house manager is Sylvia and she, too, is a gem. On the crowded first night, she found us a great table, with minimal waiting. Even the owner stopped by our table to see how dinner was going. If you’re a car or motorcycle enthusiast you’ll love the decor, but even if you’re not, the food needs no special help to enjoy. An excellent experience, and one we can’t wait to repeat next year when we return for our annual vintage car fix. steve

We basically took over this place from the pharmacy convention going on. It seems like everyone from the convention came here and we took over one of their sections. We ordered a bunch of food and the pizzas were pretty good. FOOD: * BREAKFAST PIZZA: The egg was what made it AMAZING.I could eat that by myself and because of this pizza... Ive been putting eggs on my pizza. YES. * White Pizza - just white sauce. It was delicious. I normally dont like tomato sauce on pizza... white sauce is AMAZING. So I got it and it was good. AMBIANCE: Sports bar Fits large groups SERVICE: Pretty good but they did not expect us to be there. So it was slow but I dont blame them. Its was a weekday and we had a HUGE group. DRINKS: They had my Moscow Mule IN THE COPPER CUP. Just the way it is supposed to be. Excellent. OVERALL: Great sports bar!

I went a couple of times and it was good, just a little overpriced. The last time I went the waitress didnt split our check, asked me to calculate it, and then asked me to write down our credit card numbers for her (without giving me a pen). My numbers were off (I couldnt split tax between 6 people after 3 drinks... Sorry...) and so some had to overpay. When I went to the manager about it (and even said upfront I wasnt trying to get free food or drinks, just that it was inconvenient) he became defensive and rude and told me that its not common policy to split a check. Id rather go to lallas (cheaper, equally good food) or the Crown and Anchor (more charm and better service) for a night out...

I didnt know what to expect from this place, I didnt read up on it or anything. I was actually headed elsewhere, but the place didnt look like it would be too friendly for my stubborn, and sometimes loud, two year old. This place was in a great locale to where we had been (the MY museum) and although parking is only street parking, we found some close by. Clean place. Convenient that there are sets of bathrooms on opposite ends of the restaurant. Friendly and accommodating staff. Service was fast, efficient, and food was even better than I anticipated. Servings are large, especially the kids. See the pics for details. Tuna melt was really good. My hubbys skirt steak BLAT was perfection.

We stopped in 3 nights in a row to enjoy their awesome desserts. Racing fans, Turn 12, is the hopping spot in Monterrey, they also own Baja Cantina in Carmel Valley, right by the raceway. The Carrot Cake at Turn 12 is one of the best I have ever had, and the Mexican Food at Baja Cantina, I think even the most picky Mexican Food connoisseur would love this place. The owners and the staff are very friendly.

The service was terrible, we didnt even get to eat because the hostess kept serving people who did and didnt have reservations all we wanted to do was eat and listen to our high school jazz combo play and we barely even got to that. The hostess acted very unprofessional and blamed young middle schoolers for not being able to serve people even though the owners aloud the jazz bands to play in the restaurant.

Good enough we had lunch AND dinner there, during our recent stay in Monterey. Great friendly staff, helpful to make suggestions and be attentive, without being too much at your table. EXCELLENT food- I recommend the steak salad- lots of fresh ingredients and just enough steak. Good beer selections- Nice atmosphere and nicely decorated.

Driver special with grilled salmon has to be the most perfect meal I ever had in a restaurant. Salmon always perfectly grilled, with brown rice, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, carrots and string beans cooked exactly right. Proof that tasty food can be healthy. Very nice selection of craft beers. Staff is efficient and friendly.

My first taste of Lobster Chowder here, and it did not disappoint! Had a weekday lunch here, as part of a work trip, and glad to have been recommended this place from the hotel we stayed at. Food service was quick and helpful, and it was very busy for a Monday too. Would definitely be back here if im ever in Monterey again!

Excellent place to eat after a long day of exploring Carmel, Monterey, and the surrounding area. Their linguini with clams was fantastic paired with the bread they serve and the seafood pasta was a nice combination of everything seafood-wise from the Monterey market. Will definitely be coming back next time Im in the area

Great service. Went during happy hour but still had great service. Carnitas street tacos were amazing and I highly recommend them. Be aware that they are pretty small though so order a couple more than you normally would. Turn 12 Burger was pretty good and chicken nachos were okay but could have used more salsa.

Very curious waiters/waitresses. They have the utmost respect and always like to wait till all your party has arrived before taking any orders. The food is on the pricey side, especially seafood, but the ambience is great and very friendly. Great for groups and its super close to Laguna Seca Raceway.

The pizza is really good, but I wouldnt recommend the paella. It had no flavor, shrimp werent deveined and for the size of them they would have tasted a lot better if they had been. If you like seafood and want it to be worth your money you probably shouldnt get it here.
