Solid Schezuan food. Almost everything is spicy so make sure that you come here with people who love spicy food and lots of schezuan chili peppers and chili oil! 3.5/5 stars because the service is not the best. The portions are a good size and it is reasonably priced. The setting is very fancy and Ive seen people host some baby showers and parties in the back! Ive had the hot pot once which was pretty good (I recommend the spicy broth!) but we usually order dishes off the menu and share family style. Dishes can be hit or miss but here are some thoughts on what to order and what to skip: BEST dishes: Hot & Sour Soup, Twice Cooked Pork, Twice Cooked Tofu, Chongqing boiled fish, Chongqing Spicy Diced Chicken, Dry-Cooked String Bean OK dishes: Mongolian Beef, Kung Pao Chicken, Pork Dumplings, Garlic Chicken (a good dish for people who dont want to eat spicy food) Underwhelming dishes: Beijing Family Style Eggplant, Beijing Bean Sauce Noodles, Cold Noodles There is a small parking lot in the back but make sure you park in a spot where other people will not come in behind you and block your car. If this is full, you can find some parking by making a right on Glenwood and then a left on "Garwood Way". Youll have to park on the street there and walk over (3-5 min walk next to the busy road).

Im on the fence about Fey. On one hand, the prices are decent (HUGE PORTIONS!!!) and it is one of the better Chinese places in Menlo Park. The atmosphere inside is nicely decorated and they also offer hot-pot if you dine-in in addition to their traditional Szechuan menu dishes. On the other hand, the food is extremely greasy, oily, and salty and service has been hit or miss whenever I dine-in. I havent tried the hot-pot so this is my opinion of their usual menu dishes. My family and I have ordered take-out a couple times and the large soup size still seems to be a good deal. Still, I dont want to see my green beans completely immersed in a pool of oil. The twice-cooked-tofu itself is good, but I could care less about the rest of the ingredients in the dish (this is also served in a soaking pool of oil). The spicy fish soup and the eggplant are also good. Service whenever we do take-out has been great. If we place a large order, they box up all our food to us and even put it in a larger cardboard box so that we can easily carry it out and store it in the car. also, they make sure all the food is tightly bagged, especially the soups. I really appreciate their efforts so nothing spills in my car on the drive home!

Very nice decorations. Good menu. Nice people. One would like to enjoy the food far more. The menu is scattered over many chinese regions, and I cant tell where the chef is from. The szechuan dishes dont have the bright flavors of that region, and very few peppercorns. In my last visit, the wontons fell apart, very poortly made. The tastes are never as vibrant and precise as this kind of food should be. There are a number of better chinese restaurants, such as Crouching Tiger in RWC, Chef Zhao in Palo Alto ( or the other Zhao in Mt View, bother are better ), or Da Sichuan in PA or the Burmese restaurants in Palo Alto. It is true that for specifically Menlo Park this is the most plausible Chinese restaurant, but the others I mention are only an extra 5 minute drive, or closer, depending on where you are. I am always so disappointed because the restaurant looks and feels good - why cant they upgrade the food a little? This place has a lot of native chinese visitors and feels very chinese, but the food is simply short of the mark.

Food: 2 Decor: 4 Service: 3 Came here with my parents for lunch on our way to SF. 1. Tofu soup ~Delicious. Both the spicy and regular were good, although I personally preferred the regular. 2. Braised eggplant ~Pretty good. Eggplant could have cooked a bit longer since the skin was a bit chewy. 3. Cashew nut chicken ~Mediocre. It was also really oily. 4. Shrimp with veggies ~Disappointing. Shrimp did not taste fresh. 5. Chinese donut ~Mediocre. Donuts were lukewarm and not crispy at all. Service was fast, but it felt rushed. Judging by the others pictures, we probably just ordered the wrong dishes.

Pros Pretty tasty food (a sure 4 star just for food). Really nice modern decor Lots of space Clean restrooms Cons Customer service was not great. My daughter was standing on the seat and the maitre dwarned her not to reach out for the decoration in a chiding way while I was in the process of asking her to not reach anyways. Water refills are taking a bit and the waiters were not very coordinated. Parking lot is tiny. Adjacent parking lot has lots of do not park warnings. We squeezed into a tiny spot somehow. Wish they had better beverages though. Felt a bit wanting after I was done with my meal.

Food is pretty good, though a bit greasy. The waiters are hit or miss. Sometimes they provide decent service sometimes pretty bad service. Specifically, there is a male waiter who appears to either not understand requests or passive aggressively misunderstands and doesnt bring basic requests like rice or water promptly and instead takes 10+ minutes to perform the request. I only go back when my friend wants to go there, but personally would avoid this restaurant due to the lack of consistent service.

Am so delighted to have a good Chinese restaurant in the neighborhood. The specialty is Szechaun food, but just ask if youd like the spicy toned down. All the standards are really good or at least solid, and theyve got some house specialties that are excellent. The decor is upscale for any kind of restaurant, much less a Chinese one in this area. Prices are reasonable. The only negative is parking -- if you can find a parallel parking spot on El Camino near by, just take it.

Well the veggie hot and sour has eggs so whatever.. Its really good though.. I ate there by myself and they kept trying to hustle me out the door.. Which seemed kinda rude.. There were plenty of tables open .. They served me really large serving size to tax up the price.. I figured they would do that.. But I wanted to try the soup.. If that was the small soup .. I dont have any idea how big the large serving was... Good food .. Strange service.. I wont be going back..

I had one of the worst lunches in this restaurant. My family and I had a seafood soup that was okay and my parents ordered seafood dishes from the lunch specials while I ordered curry chicken. It was horrible. It had no curry flavor at all and it was just so bland. The chicken just tasted like what I think dog food would taste. I was ready to vomit on my fifth bite. I would not recommend the curry chicken to anyone.

Service was terrible...worse than Chinatown in most cities. Server would not even look at me while putting the check down: I mean literally looked and turned the other way. The food was not authentic Chinese. The price was high for the quality of food. I only went because I did not have a car and staying at the hotel across the street.

Straight-up Chinese food for a good price. The dishes are very traditional american-style Chinese offerings. The Luncheon special is of your typical make-up: soup, entree and rice. Their curry beef is rather well made and theres plenty for two to share of have as family style.
