I liked Nothing ,I applied to work here being sixteen year old girl in highschool and thought working at a ice cream parlor around the corner from my house would be great! I was wrong when I noticed that the owner was looking at what seemed to be my breasts but I thought nothing to it probably was in my head. So I finally received a call back from him on Tuesday about whether I was still interested in working there and I said yes I am. And today January 10 I was called in for training and all started off well but I was pretty nervous especially for it being my first time in a food buisness so i was pretty shy. So then the owner stops me and he says I notice youre very insecure and such and he pointed out my weight and facial appearance and made a comment about me pulling up my pants and added that "some people like that kind of stuff" but if you want you can tuck in youre shirt. Im sorry but as I stated before I am a sixteen year old girl why on earth would you even think on commenting on my body or appearance thats not okay !!!! If youre looking for work dont go here no wonder only two other girls only work there.

First of all, I have called twice and left a message for the mananger but no call back. So I am leaving my experience here. We went in to buy 1/2 gallons of banana nut and mint chip. We bought one scoop of mocha almond fudge. The scoop was fine. When we tried the two half gallons at home, the ice cream would not scoop--it flaked! We then noticed a dark layer of syrup on the bottem of each container. This ice cream had been thawed and refrozen!!!! It was filled through and through with ice crystals. YUCK! It was absolutely unedible. On my second call, the person said that they had a freezer failure. Well they did not throw out the thawed ice cream, they are selling it! So stay away from the 1/2 gallons. I wont be going back.

Stepping into this sweet shop was like going back in time: somehow, I had the feeling that I had returned somewhere between the 80s and early 90s. Theres just an old-fashioned feeling about the place that made me feel like I was a kid again. As for the ice cream, the prices were decent and the product was pretty good. Theres a nice selection of flavors and generous portions to boot. One thing I would have to say though was that I was a little disappointed by the chocolate ice cream: it tasted a bit powdery to me, taking over the true flavor of the chocolate. I dont know if it was a bad batch or what, but it wouldnt stop me from going again and giving it another try to find out.

I adore Sweet Retreat with all my heart! Ive been going there since the beginning of time, and I still love it today. Great prices, great sizes. Super friendly service. Its my go to ice cream parlour!
