Lemon Tarts, croissants and french sandwiches at this hidden french bakery and cafe which is the child of Chef Josette. Literally located in the cut, bordering baldwin hills and culver city, you would never know this place was here. It is also a cafe with sidewalk seating, serving up french breakfast, sandwiches, salads, notable french cuisines entrees and desserts. From Croque Monsier and escargot, to blood sausage and beef bourguignon. Its a sweet little place with pleasant and quality tastes. Everything is fresh and the desserts are made with french patisserie integrity. The lemon tart is my favorite and Ive been getting them here for years. Their sandwiches are quite good and on great french baguette (flaky on the outside and soft on the inside). I havent tried any of their entrees so I cant say how good they are but having just visited France I look forward to trying some of their dishes to see how if it lives up to the standard.

RATEROS!!!

The food here was good. The coffee was also good, and the people here are friendly and clean. The only complaint is that I think that its disproportionately expensive. $2.50 for a can of coke? Everything was more expensive than a comparable lunch elsewhere. I spent $24 for a lunch for one person. I felt bad not having enough left over for a tip for the nice staff. The delicious food had a sour aftertaste after the bill. What a shame.

Delicious baked goods, breakfast and lunch. We go there all the time. Its the best restaurant I know between Vermont and La Cienega (south of Venice). European style sidewalk seating, as well as indoor seating. The decor inside could use some work, but Im not judging. Its quaint and the food and service are great. Make sure you try the cinnamon rolls! Or the Cronuts, if youre not afraid of calories! (Croissant-donut)

I went to France thinking Id find food, especially deserts that would taste better. But I was oh sooooo very wrong. Well worth any distance you may have to drive. The croissant, the bread, the soups and everything else is simply excellent. Never been disappointed

We came in at 1:50pm and their sign says they close at 3pm. Then they said they only had cold sandwiches to go, because they close at 2pm. The sign outside says Sunday Brunch 9am-3pm. Update your google info and your sign and maybe Ill come back.

The staff is very friendly and an extra smile if you get to see Chef Josette! The food is exquisite and the pastries are deliciously one of a kind. The sitting is European style, it feels at home and cozy.

is what we call this place. It is fantastic -- one of the best things about living around here. Great sit-down food and even better baked goods. Too bad its not open on Sundays.

Nice place, sleeper french bakery, top quality but expensive - $5.00 for a small apple tart slice seems pretty expensive but they are delicious.

Baguettes are great as are the cakes. We ordered a cake for my sons birthday. Not too sweet, not too dense and the right amount of filling.

Horrible service. I had to walk out because no one was available for me or the person behind me. So we both left
