Fantastic food in a very sweetly decorated location with excellent service. I keep coming back and bringing more people to experience breakfast here. The biscuit sandwiches are so good and they have such an interesting variety of plates that youre sure to find a new favorite. The prices arent low, but are fair for the area and for the quality. The shop is small, so I wouldnt bring a load of kids or very big parties unless you are ok with a wait. Ive had wonderful business meetings here and can totally recommend it for work chats over coffee and nibbles. The staff is always warm and welcoming. I havent tried the desserts yet but they look incredible. Breakfast is always so filling that I never get that far. They have outdoor seating as well as indoor so you can enjoy a nice day downtown.

Great place, can be a bit busy at times, so the earlier the better. The menu can be extensive and it changes frequently but the staff is friendly and can accommodate special orders. This place has a good coffee selection and the desserts... Wow. The desserts also change depending on the season (seasonal fruits are used). Food is fresh and tasty and made with love... Come and find out as to why the place is popular.

Good food. If youre on a diet this isnt the place to come. Although not as fatty as any southern restaurants Ive been too. The food is tasty and a great variety. I was disappointed with the biscuits though. They werent flaky biscuits, which I expected. I guess thats the "healthier" version of the southern treat. Prices seemed a bit high for what you get, but certainly reasonable.

An absolutely fantastic menu and along with a great staff. A unique take on Southern style food that does not disappoint. This isnt a Waffle House style eatery, but more of an upscale boutique food type place. Went for the late breakfast, lunch menu and was thrilled with the selection of dishes. I got the South Carolina Bowl ,minus the pimento cheese, and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Food is very tasty. Prices are reasonable and space is quite homey. I would recommend this restaurant if you are able to walk to it or take public transportation. But because the prices are so reasonable, if you drive you may end up spending up to 20% of what it costs you to eat one meal just to park your car to eat the meal.

Sooo delicious, California has some of the best food. Their setup is a bit weird but its only because they get so busy; it actually works perfectly. The staff is super awesome and it attracts a great crowd. They even have free coffee for the wait. I believe we waited almost 45 minutes but it was absolutely with it.

This restaurant has amazing comfort food. Its just a small little cozy place that has never been too busy whenever I have gone. The staff is very friendly and offer their suggestions on their favorite items. They also have a bakery you can buy amazing goodies from if you have room, or take them to go for later.

Amazing food and friendly service! I had the southern Benedict and my husband had the mason Dixie witch. Both were so delicious! We did agree the benny was better if we had to choose. Also I could take home a whole jug of the raspberry limeade. We would love to go back if ever in town again

I wanted to love this place, but they have horribly long wait times (even when they are not busy) - The front end staff is not very friendly at all, although our waiter was nice. - The food is very homemade tasting and lacked seasoning . . . will not be going back.

definitely the best breakfast we had in long beach. flavors are delightful and on point (i.e. i think the shrimp and grits started with roux) biscuits done right and really friendly, welcoming service. i kinda wish i could take them home with me...

Fantastic for breakfast, lunch, or just a quick snack and a drink. The pastries are to die for. Variety of creative lemonade flavors made fresh each day. No A/C, so think twice before going on a sweltering summer day.

The food was delicious! You have to order one of the pastries. They had the best scones Ive ever tasted before. Id give 5 stars if it wasnt for the chaos and confusion involved with the ordering process

Sweet Dixie Kitchen has an authentic charm and true comfort food of the Southern persuasion. The biscuits are hearty, the gravy is finger-lickin good, and the flavor combinations are anything but boring.

Food was great. Only problem was i asked for my eggs to be placed on a separate plate. The waitress informed me that the chef/cook would yell at her for making any changes. How ridiculous.

This food was insanely delicious. Staff was nice with a quiet environment and outdoor seating. Be sure to arrive early, they can become busy really quick. Thank you, sweet dixie kitchen

I appreciate having this choice in Southern California. I thought it was only possible to taste this decadent quality by travelling to the South. It was absolutely delicious!

This place is amazing, love the breakfast and always new and interesting changes to the menu. Only downside is the owner is notorious for closing on major holidays.

We had to stand in line for food then lost our seat. It was hard to fine another as it was busy. The food was ok but not worth the seating problem.

The grits were phenomenal. Ill be back. The young man working the counter was so pleasant. Id go back just to be greeted by him. Good experience.

Chicken was tasty. Came with fries and a biscuit. Would rather have Cole slaw and rice, too much fried food on one plate. Friendly staff.
