Greasy, Overrated, Oily Cheese, Overpriced, Quart of Oil Please note all reviews must be of from cheap college students who value saving a dollar over ingesting a quart of oil. Ordered The Works and the "Sicillian and both were disgusting. The cheese isnt real cheese (made with 2% milk), its the cheap fake cheese I feel. You know how you can tell? Because the cheese on top has the clear sheen on top and is too shiny. There were plenty of toppings but that only added to the level of grease I feel. I agree with everyone else, this is like a step even below Pizza Hut/Little Cesars. Bleh! Also, tried their famous cookies, the chocolate chip was the only decent one there. The peanut butter and the coconut one was disgusting too. Took one bite and had to throw it away. Fortunately they were only 60 cents. Wish I could go back in time and order from somewhere else.

Came here recommend by a friend. I have to agree with the other comments... Very excellent service, friendly and courteous staff. Very comfortable atmosphere and nicely decorated. There is a full wall painted as if you are looking at the streets of Italy, Venice area. I picked the lunch special, 1 pizza slice, a salad and drink. The pizza was very very good! Freshly made and good flavor all around with the crust and toppings, Ive had times at other places where the crust was not good or the whole combination of crust, cheese and toppings was kinda off and with Deli news it was all perfect and in harmony :-D I would highly recommend and would come back again

While I acknowledge and appreciate the diverse menu, Ive only ever had pizza multiple times and always to the satisfaction of my taste buds. The medium 1-topping pizza deal is fantastic! Its the reason my family repeat orders here. Never mind the cash only aspect, its worth it for the deal and the extremely tasty pizza. Maybe one day Ill peruse the menu but the pizza is such a WIN that theres really no need.

Pretty solid pizza. Not too greasy and they DO NOT skimp on their toppings! We ordered the meat lovers and I swear there was at least 3lbs of meat on our pizza! We also ordered the antipasto salad and it was incredible. Very fresh and large. I dont love that they are cash only. Wish I lived in Long Beach so I could frequent this gem. Perhaps Ill be back sooner than later :)

Ive been eating here for over 12 years. The food here is about the same which is good. It is a shame, however that the new owners continue to raise the prices and its lost most of its Mom and Pop charm. I used to eat here once a week, but now I only come by once every few months, wishing it would regain the family affordable feel it once had.

Best pizza place in Long Beach! I dont typically like pizza but this place has the best pizza around, and they have great pasta dishes at prices you cant beat. One other perk for me is their tropical iced tea... Love it! The other great thing at this restaurant is the feeling of family and the owners are the nicest people in the world.

INCREDIBLE ITALIAN FOOD!! LOVE IT!! Pizzas are cheap and very good quality. $10 for a large any way you want it. One of the best pizzas ive ever had! They also have a full menu of pastas and other goodies. They are not open weekends. They are not open late. (i *think* they close at 8, but im not sure) MUST BRING CASH ONLY!!!!

Best $5 pizza I have ever had. The crust is fresh and delicious, as well as the rest of the pizza. Its the tastiest pizza around for the price by a long shot compared to almost all similary priced pizza. Call in advance though, or you might end up waiting 30 min for your pizza, happened to me once no exaggeration.

This the best place to get pizza and pasta, I totally recommend the chicken fettuccine alfredo and bbq chicken pizza! Im telling you now that the pasta is for 2 person and I almost for got to say that the service there treat you with kindness. ( P.S this place is way much better than Olive Garden!)

Amazing Italian food. Family owned..cash only business. Bot worth every penny. Love there pizzas and almost everything they serve. You need to eat here to appreciate its taste... Only turn OFF..not opened over the weekend...!!! guys plz keep it openedmay be for few hours..;)

Decent food, but you cant beat the price. $10 for a huge "supreme" pizza (fills four), and $5 for a smaller pepperoni pizza (fills two). Cant be beat. Its a true mom and pop Italian joint, with friendly service and prices to attract all the CSULB students.

Friendly staff and good food. Two of us ate for $11. Its a fun casual restaurant and their strombolis are to die for. Its especially a popular spot with the college crowd who are looking for good food on a budget. Meatball sub is great too!

This place is cash only. This is your typical mom-and-pop Italian joint its yours pasta, pizza and other Italian specialties. My favorite thing here is the chocolate coconut cookie, sweet and fragrant coconut wrapped in a chocolate cookie.

This place was once famed for having the cheapest homemade pizza. A large used to cost just $5. Im not sure if the price is still the same, but Im sure even at $6-7, this is going to be the tastiest cheap pizza you ever purchased.

The Deli News is a great place for a quick lunch and inexpensive Italian food. They offer a good selection of sandwiches and hot meals for less than $10. There are several good lunch specials for around $5.

I should give this place 1 star because they are closed on the weekend. But their food is great, and $5 for a filling pizza cant be beat. The crust is soft and their are plenty of toppings.

The food is really good, but its a cash only place. They do have an ATM in the back, but the service fee is pretty high. Theres a Chase and a BofA across the parking lot, though.
