MANAGEMENT? ON THIS PAST SUNDAY I DROPPED MY KIDS OFF WITH THEIR MOTHER VICKI WHO WORKED FOR THE CRAB POT AS A COCKTAIL SERVER, THEY PLANNED TO EAT AND STAY WITH VICKI FOR A THREE DAY VISIT. AFTER ABOUT AN HOUR AND A HALF AND WHILE I WAS ON WAY OUT OF TOWN, I STARTED GETTING A TON OF CALLS FROM KIDS AND OTHERS, MY SON STATED "MOM BOLTED AND THE MANAGERS CHRIS AND JOHN ARE FORCING US TO LEAVE", I CALLED CHILDREN AND I ASKED WHAT HAPPENED? VICKI LEFT DRUNK THROUGH A REAR EXIT WITH HELP FROM THE MANAGERS (CHRIS, JOHNNY) WHO HID THE FACT OF HER LEAVING ALLOWED A REAR EXIT AND ARRANGED A RIDE FOR VICKI TO ABANDON HER CHILDREN. I CALLED THE RESTAURANT AND SPOKE TO CHRIS, HE STATED " I DONT KNOW WHERE SHE IS" I EXPLAINED THAT I WAS OUT OF TOWN AND ADVISED HIM TO GET VICKI BACK OR I WOULD CALL POLICE. MY SON CALLED ME AND SAID THE MANAGERS ARE FORCING THEM TO LEAVE THE RESTAURANT (30 MILES FROM HOME) AND CONTINUING TO ACT AGGRESSIVE TOWARDS THEM, MY DAUGHTER CRYING IN THE BACKGROUND...I ADVISED MY SON TO CALL POLICE WHILE I CALLED MY SISTER WHO WAS SOMEWHAT LOCAL. I CALLED BACK TO THE CRAB POT AND THEY REFUSED MY CALLS, I WAS LIVID! I KEPT TRYING AND SPOKE TO GENERAL MANAGER JOHNNY AND THEN HE TOLD ME THAT VICKI QUIT AND WALKED OUT... NOT TRUE! IF SHE JUST WALKED OUT SHE WOULD HAVE DONE SO WITH RESTAURANT MONIES, SERVERS MUST CHECK OUT WITH A MANAGER BEFORE LEAVING OR WOULD BE GUILTY OF THEFT. MANAGER JOHNNY SAID HE DIDNT CARE AND WAS LAUGHING AS MY KIDS WERE CRYING AND TAKEN BY POLICE CAR TO THE L.B.P.D.... MANAGER JESSICA WAS INFORMED OF VICKIS DRINKING THE WEEK BEFORE AND AFTER WRITING VICKI UP FOR LOST STORE BANK WHILE DRUNK..AND A MEETING WITH G,M. JOHNNY, I ASSUMED THE DRINKING ON THE JOB WAS HANDLED. VICKI WAS REISSUED UNIFORMS AND WORKBOOKS AFTER WRITE UP??? IM SURE SHE HAD A GREAT EXCUSE FOR HER DRINKING... POOR VICKI THE VICTIM! ALL OF MANAGEMENT WAS ALSO NOTIFIED BY EMAIL PRIOR ABOUT VICKI DRINKING ON THE JOB AND LYING ON HER APPLICATION: OMISSIONS OF PAST EMPLOYMENT (HUFFS RESTAURANT L.B., FIRED FOR DRINKING) AND PAST ARRESTS. WHY MANAGEMENT ALLOWED HER TO DRINK ON THE JOB AND ASSIST HER LEAVING HER CHILDREN, CONCEAL HER WHEREABOUTS FROM POLICE AND AID IN THE COMMISSION OF A FELONY IS BEYOND ME... VICKI IS IN CO. JAIL WITH (2) FELONY CHARGES AND I AM PURSUING CRIMINAL AND CIVIL CHARGES AGAINST MANAGEMENT AND THE CRAB POT CORPORATION! I HAVE SOLE CUSTODY OF MY CHILDREN NOW AND ANY ORDERED VISITATION WITH SCUMBAG MOM WILL BE DONE IN MY PRESENCE! ENJOY YOUR MEAL HERE AT THE WONDERFUL AND WELL MANAGED CRAB POT L.B..... WHERE WAITRESSES ARE DRUNK AND MANAGERS ASSIST WITH FELONIES!

It was ...... ummmm not great. My parents brought the whole family here when we were in Long Beach. When my moms in LB rowing she drops big $$$ in here on a weekly basis. I was excited to try the famous seafood bag special. The view in the marina was fantastic. However I wanted to order the famous seafood combo bag they dump on the table, but I cant eat sausage and they would make zero substitution to their menu when I tried to order it asking them to leave the sausage out. Also I was told I could not order that combo unless 2 people were ordering it. That was super odd. So you apparently cant order the most famous dish if you go there alone! The chairs are also super light weight and flimsy. My 3 year old niece distributed her weight wrong in her chair and it flipped backwards and she and the chair landed on the floor. She hit her head badly and had a huge welt on her forehead. The worst part of this place was that the wait staff saw what happened and didnt check on her or offer ice or one word. They honestly seemed more irritated with her crying. Not safe chairs for children whatsoever. And the floors.... sticky. Wow....I guess it wasnt that great of a dining experience, Im realizing as Im recounting the evening. I ended up ordering the Salmon. It was a cheaper item on the menu. It was grilled nicely. Overall prices were too steep and dont match or equate the food and dining experience. From my one time coming here I would not recommend it to anyone, and i sure wont be going back. :)

so heres our story, we entered and we were asked if we wanted to sit outdoors or indoors, it was a sunny day so we decided to sit outdoors. The lady at the reservation desk said that we would have to wait for 30 minutes to sit outside and she recommend to go to the bar inside and order while we wait. Me and my boyfriend were not convinced because half of the tables outside were empty, the lady replied saying that all these tables are reserved, then I poped the question "but you dont take reservations" she didnt know what to say and she kept repeating herself "no but there is a list" .. ok fine, we sat inside because there was no point in waiting for 30 minutes, and when I sat I noticed something really strange.. all the white people are sitting outside on the deck in the nice sunny day, and all other ethnicities are siting inside no exception and no im not white I had to ask others and it all hit them after I mentioned it... comon this cant be a coinsidence. The tables remained empty till the time we left :( ..

We waited 2 hours without getting seated on Sunday 2/19th at 6:00 for party of 13. The Host told us that the wait time is about an hour. However after 2 hours of wait, we have asked her what the situation was and the host claims that they were busy. She told us that they had table open and told us that they had to clean up the table. We waited more than 30 minutes and she claims that they only had 2 bus boys and didnt have time to clean the table for us. Also, she never came up to us to let us know what the situation was. It was only after we have confronted her about our wait time she have mentioned that they were busy. On the other hands we were the only ones waiting on the lobby. Everyone was going in and seated with not more than 10 minutes of wait time. It seems like she was racially discriminating us.

A group of us came for lunch and most of us shared in the feast they dump on the table. We had to wait about 1/2 hour to get a table, even though the restaurant was almost completely empty. It was better than average seafood, but at the prices they charge not somewhere I would be likely to go back to... 6 people over $250. For that price I think the food should be better. Rachel M. mentioned the Cajun spices on everything, which is true, but really only on your hands. Once you break into the crab it is just crab, no seasonings get into the shells. It was filling, but didnt really stick. I was hungry again a couple hours later, usually if I eat that much I am good for the rest of the day. The next day one of the people told me that it "disagreed" with him.

So a group of friends decided to take me out and try the infamous Crab Pot down in Long Beach... Being a local I had heard of the place. I liked the location with the sunset and unique facade. We ordered the pound on your table dish, and had to wait approximately 45 minutes for it (unbelievable) - In the mean time we downed some cold ones (I liked their selection) - Once the food arrived it was good, bit salty (seafood, lol) but we cut our stay short as the room temperature continued to rise. Plus the line of people waiting outside made us feel in a rush to get out.. I doubt Ill be returning there anytime soon... unless... someone else is paying.
