the bruins beat the dogs (washington huskies) on friday 11/22, what better way to celebrate the winning by eating (hot) dogs! ive been meaning to try dog haus for the longest time and was so glad to bring a group of 8 for the following reasons: 1) food: from kings hawaiian hot dog buns to chili cheese served in a fritos bag to fried eggs on hot dogs i was definitely blown away by the presentation! i was surprised how good the hot dogs were standalone. and who doesnt love sweet potato tater tots? 2) ambiance: dj spinning music on friday night was awesome. the dj was having a blast and so were we! the outdoor patio communal seating and patio heaters set the perfect biergarten ambiance. someone was celebrating a birthday and they gave us cake! things can get friendly real fast ;) 3) drinks: plenty of poison to choose from. the cashier wasnt kidding about the full bar! he asked me what i normally like to drink and without hesitation i said "tequila" and he proceeded to make me a deliciously crisp refreshing citrus tequila cocktail in less than a minute! 4) location: sizable location with plenty of parking around the restaurant. its really a hidden gem in pasadena. until this day the boys wont stop raving about the dog haus! well be back soon :)

So most of the time, customer service is great here. Sometimes though, it seems like theyre not really on top of things. For example, I submitted an online order today so I could hopefully grab and go and have time still to eat between meetings. When I got there, turns out they werent even logged into chow now so it was the same as me ordering there. After that, when my order was done, I dont think my name was called out or it was so quietly said that I would have had to have been standing directly in front of them so the food essentially sat there for a good ten minutes. Even after approaching the counter, no one bothered asking me if I needed help until 5 min later. Now you might say, gosh this guy has high expectations, but come on, theres 4-5 guys on the other side of this counter including the guy who gave me my receipt. So by now, the food is barely warm and I have no time to eat. Pretty much decided to put this experience in a review since its pretty absurd to me compared to all the other perfectly good times Ive had there.

Eats: The Little Mule Burger, sweet potato fries, tater tots I frequent Old Town Pasadena for lunch and happy hour. A Dog Haus craving used to mean driving down to Lake and hovering for an open table. With the opening of Dog Haus Biergarten, it is now the clear winner in tastiest and most convenient Old Town lunch. There is plenty of outdoor seating as well as indoor. Access to this place is a bit hidden as the restaurant faces an alleyway. Ive recently had the Little Mule Burger, and picked it based on description alone. " fried egg, pepper jack, haus tomatillo sauce, cilantro aioli, avocado." Winner? WINNER!! All their burgers are served on Kings Hawaiian bread which adds sweetness to the already flavorful ingredients. In retrospect, the the cilantro aioli gave this burger much of its taste. Being a burger fan, its tough to consider the hot dogs, but as the namesake of this place and the yummyness of the burgers, its a definite must-have.

Warning: This place is not for the health conscious! I came here for a late lunch on Friday with a couple friends and there was still a line out of the door, definitely a good sign. The menu offers hot dogs, sausages, and burgers with a variety of toppings on each. There are also sides offers, such as fries/tator tots, chili, cheese, etc. I ordered the Old Town Dog (smoked bacon wrapped 100% all beef dog, caramelized onions, roasted jalapeños, chipotle aioli, cotija cheese) and a side of chili cheese fries. The Old Town Dog came on toasted Hawaiian rolls, which really made the hot dog taste a lot better. The hot dog tasted like how it was described, nothing special in my opinion besides the bread. The chili cheese fries tasted like normal chili cheese fries but cost me $5 (too expensive!). Overall, nothing too special or memorable about my meal here, but then again it wasnt terrible either.

If youre looking for fast casual with some edge, Dog Haus is your place. From beginning to end, I had a great lunch there. Cooler was filled with a unique selection of beverages, including one of my favorites, Boylans Birch Cola (imagine root beer with a little less bite). I enjoyed the dirt bag to start. Fritos with chili and nacho cheese, and if you havent had this before, its amazing. Followed this up with a burger and the buns are actually hawaiin sweet rolls which hearken me back to the delicious rolls served during family dinner. When it comes to main courses, the menu offers a great selection of upscale burgers and dogs to choose from. Finally, the staff was cool and the music was great, a blend of alternative and some 90s rock, I remember getting in a little Guns N Roses while I was there.

A dog, a side and a drink and youll be good to go for at least 24 hours. Ive been to many hot dog joints where you leave feeling unsatisfied (Im talking to you, Grays Papaya!), but at Dog Haus, they only serve fat+juicy dogs piled with oodles of toppings... delicious! The difference maker is the Kings Hawaiian bread buns, whose subtle sweetness counterbalances the savory flavors like yin+yang. If their signature dogs dont entice you, they offer customizable toppings. The menu is reasonably priced and the service is excellent. Have some fun with the cafeteria sized tables (each seats about 8), because you never know who youll end up meeting. Im looking forward to working my way through the entire menu, though slowly through well-spaced visits, to prevent adding an extra ring around the belly.

The location at Hill and Union is the best of the three. The dogs are awesome; and a variety of sausages, bratwurst, and hot dogs are available. Theyre presented in some very creative items (lots of cheese and bacon). I usually get a 1/4 dog and sauerkraut; it is consistently awesome. The Hawaiian Bread buns provide a perfect flavor compliment. The french fries and onion rings are both quite good. Decor is black and functional; with outdoor seating. Its all benches and stools. The staff is generally friendly; theyre almost always very busy.

I like this place. They serve dogs and Burgers and a few other food items. The dogs are good. Different toppings make for an adventure. They have an outside beer garden which can get loud and busy at happy hour, which by the way is all day Sunday! The inside her is so much better than their other sites. The staff here are helpful and can take a joke. Good selection of beers and wine. Pasadena has a lot of fine places to eat, for me this is one of them. Can be a bit hard to find parking off of Green Street, so look for someplace on North Raymond.

Genuine vibe from Friendly, attentive staff and tasty food. Diverse drink options some alcoholic and strait forward descriptive food menu posted with prices. Recommend the Wonderfully crisp tater tots with chili and good fresh coleslaw, filling. I made uturn when signage caught my eye. Some parking in rear access via one way street along eatery. Not five stars due to (charred intentionall/maybe BURNT hot link in featured Hawaiianstyle item ) one smelly toilet clogged/SLOW DRAINING but usable, only restroom.
