My first time there was 8 years ago for my sons first year. It was such a comfortable atmosphere that I napped about 15 min. Next to the fireplace. Very home like. Just went back for the Re-opening and had a great experience. There is plenty of seating, the shop is nicely decorated. The staff is friendly, the drinks are tasty, the sandwiches are delicious. Although the shop is tucked away behind the book store, it makes for a nice place to sit and relax, or study, without the hustle and bustle of students going to and fro. I recommend it. Stop by and say "Hi JOHN"! Hes the store manager.

Several times Ive given this place a chance, and it always disappoints. Their coffee and espresso usually taste burnt, the tea lattes are sub-par, and everything is overpriced. If youre looking for coffee/tea at UCSD I recommend Muir Woods cafe or the Art of Espresso coffee cart.

One of my favorite places to study on campus. Not a good place for a cup of Joe, but the lattes and teas are great. Try the Nutella latte and the Egyptian Chamomile tea.

Brewed coffee is nearly unpalatable (espresso drinks and tea are great). Lots of places to sit, plugs for devices, and a fireplace during colder months
