Such a cute, minimalistic interior! This place is the definition of a hipster cafe. They have simple, but delicious coffee and really cute decor. A must go to for those who love coffee shops and taking cute photos. We ordered a chai latte and a mocha. Both were very bitter, which I dont particularly mind but if you want a sweeter drink Id avoid these. The people who made our coffee were very friendly and inviting. This is a great place to have a coffee date as the vibe is super chill. There is a counter running along one of the sides of the walls with a few tall chairs. The other wall has a huge table that looks like a good place to study, but it might be crowded during the day. I would definitely come here again just for the atmosphere of the place. Parking is pretty bad as this is in the Hillcrest area so be weary. This is place coffee lovers must go to at least once!

As a student from Berkeley, Ive been to MANY cafes. This place is one of the more modern cafes Ive been to and I really enjoyed everything about it. The white interior and large interior really brightens up the whole place. There isnt too much seating but definitely enough. They have tables as well as bar seating. The wifi is fast! I got the 12oz Cold Brew w/ milk and it was wonderful. Honestly one of the best cold brews Ive ever had. The service was really quick for me (I got my drink almost as soon as I sat down) but my friends drink took a while and upon inquiry, the barista apologized for forgetting about her drink.

This place is legit! Was in town for the weekend and looking for good coffee and most certainly was not disappointed. The interior is minimalist with some cool touches. The walls are white and they have the roasting equipment on site in the back. Super nice. I ordered a pour over of a Kenyan been and really enjoyed it. I ordered the bread with butter and cinnamon sugar, so dang good, I would eat this every morning. The location is cool with street parking in front and some side street parking around the area.

Coming from Portland (coffee-snob capital of America), I was blown away by this place on two fronts: Their dedication to the advancement of coffee science/culture, and their refusal to make me an iced Americano. This is San Diego, its hot, and your iced coffee is way too expensive. Ice my Americano. Its my fault if its terrible. You admit that have ice, just ice it. That said, this is probably one of the best shops in town. There are places to sit down and get some work done.

My favorite coffee shop in San Diego! Clean, contemporary, simple, and of course amazing coffee. I always get their cold brew iced coffee that they have on tap- delicious and freaking strong. Its obvious they are dedicated to their craft, youll see it in their lattes, slow drips, etc. I also love that they have local SD newspapers on hand, so you can plan your weekend of music, culture, activities. Highly recommend, and a must for all coffee lovers alike.

I called here and the guy behind the counter was ridiculously helpful. Usually you can hear the annoyance creep into someones voice when you ask the a plethora of questions, but his stayed calm and collected, a true indicator that he is passionate about the bean. I didnt feel uncomfortable about knowing nothing about coffee, he was very nice when I came into the shop and ordered. I think this place also doubles as a pizza shop at night! Noiice!!

Really wonderful little place. at least when I came there was just one nice woman behind the counter pleasantly and charmingly serving very delicious beverages (at least my iced coffee was) in a small but tidy little shop. I was second in line at 10a. not sure what this place would be like if it were busy. but it sure is nice here. Im sitting outside the cafe at a little table on a beautiful morning while Im writing this. very much recommend.

I found this place via Instagram, because (by design?) it is very instagrammable. Maybe its the hipsters who patronize this shop that make it so. This is where I go when Im craving a good (and pretty) latte. Its $4, so a bit more than I usually pay for a latte - but I usually go when Im treating myself. I believe their kind of known for their pour overs, but when I go out for coffee, I like to get something I cant make at home.

I went to Coffee and Tea Collective for the first time on Saturday morning and I was impressed. The problem with some of these places is that the employees and baristas tend to have a condescending attitude towards newbies or "unseasoned" coffee drinkers. This was NOT the case at Coffee and Tea Collective. The service was great and everyone was friendly. Oh yeah, and the coffee was ridiculous. I will definitely be back.

Coffee & Tea Collective have very knowledgeable baristas who accommodate your normal latte drinker all the way up to the snobby single origin pour-over dorks like myself. Considering all the other great coffee spots in SD, their roasts are dialed-in and add to the spectrum. Coffee aside, the space itself has a minimalist feel and is a perfect place to concentrate or relax. The neighborhood vibe is strong with this one.

One of the few places in SD hat you can get legit pour over coffee, or a latte with a foam leaf. SD doesnt seem to have gotten that far yet. Coffee designs? Nah, weve got sunshine instead. C&TC does a great job bringing the craft coffee business to the forefront -- while also bringing some class to El Cajon. Stop by for a coffee and stay for the excellent study space. PS did I mention they do waffles as well?

Coffee & Tea Collective roast their beans with care and work hard to make each cup a pure representation of the coffees potential. It is a small, comfortable cafe that graciously provides wifi. Their concrete coffee bar has benches, but I find it the perfect height to use as a standing desk. Im 59" so I figure 2-3 inches up or down could do the same.

Finally! A place where I can just be a coffee snob. Im a huge pour-over fan and they have a set up right there ready to go. The flavors in their coffee are a little different with some spice and berry tones, but its very bright and not too earthy, and totally delicious! I know Im stopping for coffee any time Im in this part of town.

Tea and service were fine, though selection was limited. This is also not a good place to sit and work--way too small and too cramped. Atmosphere is very sterile. I would probably come back here if I was in the neighborhood and just wanted a drink, but I wouldnt go out of my way to come back since I prefer a homier atmosphere.

Loved out date here! Defiantley one of the best coffee shops in the area. Baristas enjoy their job, communicate with guests and add love to their drinks. Would recommend this place as well as the amazing dishes. Update: now everyone who works here just has additude. Go to the other one for great customer service.

Coffee & Tea Collective is one of my favorite cafes in San Diego. And when it comes to coffee, Ill go out of my way to buy locally roasted beans from establishments I trust. C&T is one of those establishments. The ambiance inside the cafe is very nice and the fact that its in North Park makes it even better.
