Summary: When my girlfriend want to try this place I tried to vetoed but unfortunately shes a female, so she win. Why did I oppose? I was never a fan of veggie, lets just say Im anti-green. When we arrive I was even more disappointed when I found out that chicken was not REALLY chicken. Food: Santa Fe Chickin with gluten free Yukon Fries and Romaine Salad The whole time waiting for my number to be called I was pondering where to go right after just to satisfied my belly. When our food arrive, I was surprise by the way they plate their food. It looks like it came out of a five star restaurant. But still, my mind kept telling me its not chicken its not chicken not until I took that first bite when my meat eating brain say, "I CANT BELIEVE THATS NOT CHICKEN." It was delicious and fulfilling. Just typing all these makes me want to go back there again. Overall: Dont be naive like me, just because you dont like vegetarian food doesnt necessary mean theyre all bad.

Oh wow.. I had no idea how many people are willing to pay $10 for their salad and praise about it. I must say this restaurant definitely did its homework by targeting the right type of customers. I can totally see how people in Irvine are health conscious and do care about what they eat. I have to admit their vegetables are all fresh. Their salads make Trader Joes salads look like childs play. I just cant justify myself spending twice for grown up food. I personally dont really like the concept of fake meat that taste like real meat. Exception of people who have problem with eating actual meat, why settle for the fake stuff.. thats all Im saying. Overall good quality food except price is too high.

Veggie Grill is the go-to place for AMAZING tasting vegan food! But theres no reason to be scared of the word "vegan" - the food is about as close as it gets to tasting like REAL flesh without actually resorting to killing. All the meateaters Ive brought here have raved about this place as well. My favorite thing is their succulent Chipotle BBQ burger. It is perfectly seasoned with tangy BBQ sauce and the shredded veggie steak is wonderfully tender and flavorful. Just typing about it makes me drool! And yes, their sweetheart fries are to die for! Veggie Grill has never disappointed me in service, cleanliness or quality of food...Ive always left the restaurant happy and full!

This place is great for vegans/vegetarians as well as carnivores. I always take my meat-eating friends here because the faux meat is so good, they love it. The food is delicious, the portions are big, and the prices are super reasonable. Of course, the sweet potato fries are fabulous (and the dipping sauce that comes with it- yum!) The salads are delicious and big. (I dont think it says on the menu, but they do sell half sizes as well.) The Bali Bliss (wrap style) is so tasty- the tempeh is great. They are always consistent, quick, and clean. Love it. I hope they put in even more locations so more people can get healthy fast food!

After finding out that this restaurant is completely vegan, I was really just because of how good the food taste there. Normally you wouldnt think that ordering a "Chicken" burger without any actual chicken would taste so good. After going my first time, I have decided that Veggie Grill is one of my favorite restaurants and a huge fan of restaurants that offer delicious food that is vegan. Although I am not vegan, I would gladly come back to this restaurant in the future just because it tasted so great!

Pros: Convenient; clever branding of vegetarian products as a burger joint; extremely friendly and helpful staff; clever use of vegan and vegetarian products; food tastes good and fresh. Cons: Despite its careful branding, this is not particularly healthful fare. The "VG-Burger" is "loaded with fat" according to the girl behind the counter. For a place that tries so hard to seem healthful, they do not provide nutrition information on their meals; without that, their branding is somewhat misleading.

I really enjoy coming here when they have coupons or specials. I am not a vegetarian, and I love to eat meat, but I also like eating here too. Their food is very flavorful and has a lot of spices, and they have a lot of unique creations as well. I like that a lot of their food is relatively healthy, and they do *try* to mimic classic foods with meat, like burgers, buffalo wraps, and nachos. They have crispy cauliflower now, and it tastes exactly like orange chicken..who woulda thought?

Not being a vegetarian, but curious enough to see what the fuss was all about, I entered with two friends. Had a lentil soup of some kind that did not please me at all. Had their sweet potatoes fries which were pretty tasty. Several dishes were consumed and the overall consensus was that it was acceptable food but not the kind we will be returning anytime soon. People in the place were nice, place was clean, food insipid and not very exciting.

Food is good and environment is fine. I am upset at the service to which I receive. Long story short cashier made a mistake and accidentally over charged me. I told the cashier and the manager but they couldnt give my money back since I payed with gift card. In other words be careful if you pay with gift card. I am very upset that I was overcharge and manager didnt do anything since he stated I used a gift card. Eight bucks down the drain.

Ive heard some people complain about this place, by saying that it is over-rated and overpriced. I thought that this restaurant was not only friendly, and vibrant, uplifting, but really good. Fresh cuisine done with care and love. Its also vegan, which is really hard to find. Ive had Savory Kale Caesar, the Uptown Nachos and Papas Portabello. They are all wonderfully delicious in their own way.

Love this place. I generally hate healthy food and love my meat but this place is delicious. I like the intimate patio after dark too. The sweet potato fries are the best and so far weve tried the Chop-chop Chef salad, the Baja Fiesta Salad and the All Hale Kale salad. All were soooo good. It even inspired me to go and make myself a kale salad at home too. All the flavor and none of the guilt!

Business model is a rip-off of Native Foods. The food itself is alright - but most are rearrangements of the same tired few ingredients (everything seems to have chipotle sauce, which is too spicy for my tastes). A bit overpriced, service is acceptable (not quick, not too slow), but location is convenient if youre seeing a movie @ University 6.

Love the food. We come here all the time. One downfall is college kids are sometimes allowed to hang around, talk loud, and kill the vibe. Management needs to address it. When I spend 70+ on a meal for the family I dont want to have to hear f-bombs while I eat with my kids.

love it, vegetarians can sample the whole menu guilt free. no more examining the ingredients of every dish, this is freedom! food tastes great too, love the sweet potato fries. this is a place you should be comfortable bringing your carnivore friends, the food is that good.

Place is delicious! When I first had veggie grill, I did not know that everything was vegetarian! Literally NO MEAT. I was so surprised when eating the Santa Fe chiken sandwich. What made it even better was that there were discounts for UCI students! Def will go again!
