We were regular customers of Lawson Station for years before the new owners took over and renamed it and gave its new identity Piazza de Campovida & Taverna. What joy to know that these new owners have resurrected our old favorite place with such love care. The inn is as cozy and comfy as it ever was and the Taverna very stylish in and understated casual kind of elegance merging both a Western and Italian feel. I love it! The food at the Taverna is even better than it was before and that was a hard act to follow as the previous restaurant The Shot Gun was outstanding. We are so impressed with the freshness and quality of the food as well as the creativity of the dishes. The Fig and Pig pizza was so delish my husband and I nashed on our leftovers on our long drive back home. I could go on and on and continue to rave about Campovida and the Taverna! Thanks Marty and Andrew and all of you for rolling out the red carpet for us during our stay with you. Looking so forward to coming back soon!

Service: this is where my problem had this with otherwise pretty good place. They seem to have an issue to acknowledge customers walking in.It took them quiet awhile to notice us and realise that we were waiting for service. It didnt seem like there was anybody on charge or if they had a working mechanism to greet and serve new customers arriving. Ive noticed this with other arriving patrons as well, so it wasnt just us. Once things got started things improved though it wasnt superb by any means. We had to remind our server for a forgotten item, and she failed to bring a correct utensil, and sugar with our cappuccino for instance. The only thing they were efficient of is to bring the checks without us asking for it. I must say that they werent rude but rather just disorganised and seem to just making it up as they were going along. Food was pretty good though.

Exceptional food and beverages, and the best part, since I was ready to hurt something if I didnt get food soon, was that they were open on Easter Sunday for dinner when everything else in the area was closed. Portions were not huge, but met my expectations and my husband and I shared a pizza that was very tasty - sausage and arugula with onions. The polenta fries were good, but the sauce was awesome (smokey and warm on the tongue, but not spicy). Cool furniture and decor. All in all, well be back! :)

Spectacular food and service! nice place very modern and nice looking place for a little town like this, the food is great! the oven pizzas are crisp and with a lot of flavor, try the sausage pizza it wont disappoint you. if you are there for dinner try the chicken for 2 it is total out of this world, very nicely condimented and with a lot of flavor, this will be our new stop every time in Hopland. stop by and you will not regret it.

Pizza was delicious. Tried the pesto chicken and some BBQ one. Both really tasty. Rave reviews from a friend who ordered the burger as well. The patio out front was awesome. Great break from a long drive. Its a bit pricey and the smallish dining room bar area was very loud. If youre looking for a place to stop on the drive up or down the 101 I recommend it.

Excellent dining experience. Warm and relaxing environment with friendly staff. We only ordered off the daily specials menu which included mussels and clams for an appetizer and a delicious pizza loaded wit fresh ingredients. The Campovida wines suggested paired excellently with the meal. I cant wait to come back and experience more of the menu.

Stayed in room 206 at the Piazza. Highly recommend you secure this room. Great views, awesome shower, bed and plenty of luxury in this suite After we arrived we had a pizza from the wood fire oven and a wine from their local winery. It was a treat to have an authentic, friendly Mendocino county experience.

Good beer..brewed locally such as a summer briney melon gose, johnny utah citra and a peanut butter stout. Great authentic Italian style pizza made in a wood burning oven. A nice stop when passing through the Mendocino wine country. On warmer weekends music on the patio. On colder a nice pit fire.

A relatively new place in Hopland located right on Highway 101. One of the best ultra-thin crust pizzas Ive ever had on the West coast. They also have a spicy sauce thats excellent for dipping your pizza in. I highly recommend stopping by if youre passing through Hopland.

Great beer selection, delicious food, and friendly service! Stopped in for a quick bite, as my wife and her friend had a great meal here recently (pizza, corn, and meatballs) were delicious as were the two IPAs we enjoyed on the lovely patio fountain side.

Great addition to food in Hopland! I love the fresh season foods added from the garden; the chicken, the pasta, and the pizzas are perfection. I highly recommend stopping in here for a delicious meal. Beer selection is very good too.

Happened upon this place while on a road trip from Canada. Wow! Great choice! Great atmosphere and friendly service. The pizza with fresh arugula was one of THE best pizzas Ive had in a long time! Definitely hope to return one day.

Came for lunch Sunday. Loved the margherita pizza. Would come here again just for that. Also the pizza feeds two people so was quite decently priced if viewed from that angle.

Good pizza but was under staffed when we went. The waitresses were all friendly and attentive but over worked trying to keep up with the full place.

Very rude waiter. Food quality went south when they brought in the new chief. Sad to see them go downhill so fast
