Awesome dinner at Universal Bar & Grille last evening! After an appetizer of fresh oysters, my lady had the Chilean Sea Bass and I had the Alaskan Halibut. There is no better seafood in North Hollywood. Hats off to Chef Damon Gordon and his excellent assistant chefs and cooking assistants. Our waiter, Scott, answered all of our questions and made excellent recommendations the entire evening. Five stars out of five.

Charged $7 to get into the bar at 12am and left the bar at 12:15am. The girl who was charging cover at the door didnt even work at the bar. She was friends of the band. When I gave her a $20 bill she almost didnt have enough change to give me back, which tells me no one has been paying to get In. In 15 minutes I spent $25 and didnt even get a buzz. Never again!

The quintessential dive bar experience. Dark, drab and tacky interior. Wonderful regulars and nice stiff drinks. Theres a pool table, a patio and juke box. Lunch menu is...tolerable (nothing remarkable, really) but food service stops between 2pm and 5pm. Beer menu could use a craft revamp but otherwise, not a bad place to kill a few hours

I went in on a Sunday day. It was slow but it was opening time. The bartender was awesome. The drinks were good, but the atmosphere was amazing. Not just the staff, but the bar regulars drinking beside me were so much fun. I will definitely be back.

Love this dive bar!! Located near Universal Studios. A low-key place to enjoy food and spirits. The place offers a variety of entertainment from bands to karaoke to comedy. My favorite place to be during football season.

Full fledged dive bar, drinks are strong and reasonable. Bar is open late compared to city walk bars. The people are friendly and they have live music of sorts great place to relax and chill
