Casual atmosphere, open seating, solid BBQ. We had the beef brisket (amazing, melt-in-your-mouth, fatty goodness) and beef short ribs (nice layer of charred goodness on the outside, tender and easy to cut off the bone, and only offered Friday and Saturday). The ribs definitely needed some saucing and I liked the espresso barbecue sauce option that was provided at the table. We also ordered several sides: the frickles (fried pickles if you hadnt guessed) were sturdily breaded and tasted great with ranch; the sweet potato tots were amazing, just the right balance of dense and crispy, and served with a perfect maple dipping sauce; the cornbread was moist and tasty; only the mac and cheese was disappointingly ordinary. Great to have a new solid BBQ option in Sonoma County, Im sure well be back.

Really great atmosphere with a nice beer selection, cool bar and a short wait for food. The mac and cheese wasnt bad, the macaroni salad was too salty for my liking, the pulled pork was average, the beans were bland and smokey, the cabbage slaw tasted like it sounds, the sauces added to the food fairly well, the corn bread tasted as it should, and the hush puppies were quite delicious. If I were to go back tonight I would get a large order of hush puppies and several beers. I wouldnt be against going back for a second try, but my first impression is that Kin is average. The bar is quite nice and I could see myself drinking and ordering a few sides.

I honestly only believe this place has good reviews because people dont know good BBQ yet. This place was god awful. It was a rainy day to which all the windows were open and freezing cold. The ordering process is quite confusing. But lets get real, the meat was the biggest disappointment. The chicken was slimy and dry at the same time. Which was then attempted to be covered up by Alabama white sauce which tastes like a jar of mayo. Sad. Pulled pork was dry and flavorless. The only good was the mustard sauce. Wouldnt ever go back considering the prices for that low quality.

We went in on a rainy day, and were one of the two tables filled in the entire restaurant. The service was slow, and we waited over five minutes for one beverage to be delivered. One of the items we ordered (a burger named after the restaurant itself) was practically raw even though we ordered it medium. We werent the only ones having this issue, and the couple next to us had to send their burger back twice for the same reason. The brisket sandwich was decent, but nothing worth writing home about. We definitely will not be going back.

I dont usually like barbecue restaurants because I find the side dishes to be lacking. This is not the case with KINSmoke. I had their potato salad and smoked beet salad. Both were excellent as was their cornbread. The beef ribs were good, but I prefer mine with a less "blackened" exterior. I plan on going back and trying their others cuts of meats and would return just to have their "sides" for a dinner.

A casual atmosphere. Good food. Very friendly staff. Order at the counter, but otherwise theyre table service. I was easily able to add an additional side after our food was served, and it was brought promptly. Parking on a Sunday at noon wasnt too hard, but I can see where it could be. As it was, we parked two blocks away.

I was so excited to get a BBQ place in town. Given how good their restaurant is in Windsor I thought this place would be just as good! Sadly it was just ok. The sauce meat and sides were not anything amazing and I cant really see going back. The staff was great and the vibe of the restaurant was great though!

Im from Houston and I can say this is a taste of Texas BBQ. Finally a place that makes great brisket, ribs, chicken and sausage! Im reviewing after coming here time and time again just to see if its consistent, and it is, every time. I recommend this place to people that love Texas style BBQ.

The only place for bbq in town! Literally, but also its a good one! So many fun and delicious sides to choose from, i usually end up ordering only sides. The beer selection is amazing and the atmosphere is great, causal but trendy. Perfect for groups or belly up at the bar seating solo style.

I only order brisket here because its so good. Just be sure to ask for a fattier cut! Some people commented the brisket was dry, but Ive never experienced that here. Also they have super fast service. Order and its out in 5-10 minutes tops.

I used to know a guy from Texas who told me that this restaurant was the only place hed been, outside of Texas, that smoked a proper brisket. Ive never been to Texas, but this place is phenomenal.
