I have never had a bad experience at a sushi place, but theres a first time for ever thing. This place was genuinely not good. Sushi is poorly constructed and will fall apart in your chopsticks. Teriyaki sauce lacked salt/flavor. The chicken is rubbery and bland. The only good thing was the no-fail California roll and steamed rice. The service was okay. Lack of communication was a setback. I would give this one star but I am giving two only because the waiter was good about taking the food we disliked off our tab.

For sushi on the coast, this place is pretty good! We came to dinner here last Friday with our 8 & 1/2 month old son. Usually we get take out. I like that we were in and out really quickly since it was around 7pm and close to babys bed time. The food is great & fish is very fresh. The prices arent bad either. Good low key sushi spot.

Probably as good as you can get in half moon bay for lunch. Very cute and cozy decor! Great: Golden crispy roll.. Perfectly fried and delicate flavor, would try more rolls next time Ok: Chirashi.. Fish decent but nothing special, Rice could use more flavoring, would not order this one again

We ordered the Golden Scallop, Honey Crunch, and Toro Heaven. The Gooden Scallop tasted a little fishy, but the Honey Crunch and Toro Heaven blew us away so much that Shiki gets 5 stars!
