I want to preface this with the fact that we went on New Years Eve, so the stars are actually a little higher than I would give it on a normal day...... As it was New Years Eve, I fully expected the wait to be a while. We made reservations for 9, but didnt actually get to a table until 9:45. The place was packed, and there mustve been a party or a large group because the two tables around us were the "kids table". So we spent the entirety of or meal listening to two thirteen year old boys talk about what they would do to a certain girl (Im assuming someone they went to school with) as well as the younger kids running from table to table, almost taking out a waitress. To add to the experience, our food was quite good, although by the time we got it, it was cold. I know a large majority of this wasnt the restaurants fault, but there were many times when the waitstaff overheard the kids and did nothing about it. Even a tiny acknowledgement of the situation wouldve made this a better experience.

This is our "go to" restaurant for special occasions and has been for years. In the literally dozens of times that we have been there, we have NEVER has a bad meal nor have we had anything less than excellent service. The staff and owners are very professional and friendly. The food is excellent (the tortellini with mushroom is my favorite...). The only complaint that I can come up with is that sometimes it is hard to get a reservation at the exact time that we want because they are too busy! Highly recommend!

Honestly the worst experience in my California life. OVERPRICED.They run out of a lot of plates.Like pizza and steaks ( YES in a Italian restaurant) and the bad experience didnt get done yet. The manager of the restaurant came to us with the worst aggressive attitude complaining about my change of mind in the menu because I supposed to get a rib eye and they decided to cooked different steak so I decided to canceled my ordered.We decided to leave right the way when this manager start yelling an us.

Mezza Luna in Pillar Point - Wow! Zuppa del giorno, Insalata Caprese, Capellini DellOrto, and Petto di Pollo alla Giovanni. Il conto was more than reasonable and il servizio was eccellente. And I dont even speak Italian. Recommended!

Be careful of those places that have many good reviews they start to think they own the world and they can treat people like garbage. This is what happened to me at this restaurant when I asked to talk with the manager of the place and he stormed over me drunk and yelling. That was a scary experience for me and thank God other people was there to stop him from hitting me. Some thugs shouldnt be given a license to run such business. Violent. Stay healthy and dont step in this place door!

Not a fan at all. I called to order a pizza pie to go, and the woman who answered first didnt know what a "pie" was, which was no big deal. She transferred me to another worker who understood, but didnt tell me the cost so I had to call back, again, no big deal. When I go to pick up the pie the woman was rude, made us pay before actually getting the pie (which is something Ive never personally experienced), and for $15 the pie was TINY. Overall quite unhappy. Not recommended.

This was a nice restaurant that my boyfriend and I found while driving through Half Moon Bay up Route 1. It is Italian and has a nice interior with extremely attentive wait staff. The drinks were reasonable priced and my dirty martini was well made. Make sure you specify if you want gin or vodka. The seafood was a little pricey for the amount you got, but well cooked and delicious. The mixed seafood for 2 was a nice buy for the two of us.

Got exactly what we paid for. Wasnt cheap, but I didnt expect cheap in Half Moon Bay. Everything we had was sensational. I had the Tortellini, my wife the Pollo Saltimbocca, and the kids the Fettucine with Prawns. We had salads too, very good. Only issue was that our server had no clue about the wine list, but she was great otherwise. Their own parking lot, and fun to take a walk after on the fishing pier.

Cheap salmon for the carpaccio, low grade mozzarella and underripe tomatoes for the caprese, flavorless salmon ravioli and a bolognese that tasted like it came from a jar with commercial pappardelle. The server couldnt tell me whether the desserts were house-made and tasted like they werent in the end. Together with a tatty dining room in desperate need of decoration this was a sad and miserable experience

Customer service from the owner herself is just beyond poor. Dont bother making a reservation, because she does not honor it and will sit whom she pleases and likes. Dont bother going at all, actually, the food is not even a 2 star. We went next door to another restaurant and had a marvelous meal. Will not waste my time ever again. Very disappointed, 1 star to many for this review.

Love the location overlooking the harbor, walk to restaurants and dog friendly too. Short drive to dog friendly beach with a walk to the Mavericks. Comfortable room with all the usual amenities plus a private patio with a small lawn for our two pooches. We leave the patio door open and let the fog horns lull us to sleep.

Great food and the worlds best tiramisu! Also, this is the most helicopter-friendly restaurant I know in the Bay Area! Perfect for "operation tiramisu"! You can land your helicopter at the south end of Half Moon Bay airport (or taxi and park your plane there) and just walk across the gate. The restaurant is right there!

Great service tonight from Giovanni. Fast. Fresh calamari, nice salad, delicious salmon. The best Italian restaurant on the San Mateo County coast. For slightly less cost than our last visit to Pasta Moon we got better food, more polite staff, faster service, and hey, the Bay is right down the block!

Good I!!talian food and the best quality/price option in the area. They have dinner special $10 on Tuesdays, great for locals. I like their bread and bloody Cosmo cocktail. Their Mezza salad is really good with the seafood and the fresh greens. Their pastas are really good too, some are homemade!!

If it wasnt for the table clothes I would think it was a diner. Some window tables face corners, which diminishes the atmosphere even further. The only great thing about this restaurant was in my opinion service and wine selection. We were not wowed, disappointed actually with the mediocre food.

Great food, reasonably priced and atmosphere. White table cloths and elegant. Drive down every other Saturday from San Jose and worth the trip. Go Sat or Sun afternoon and you have the place to yourself! Suggest ending with a walk around the water front.

Came here just yesterday for a wedding reception. This is truly an authentic Italian Restaurant with great views of the Half Moon Bay Harbor. Excellent service and simply lovely. I ordered their Fettucini Shrimp and that shrimp was so fresh and delicious.
