The food is ok. Not great, but not terrible. Really in grass valley restaurants can get by with being just edible because there arent a whole lot of options. I would go there more often because the location is convenient for me, but I just find them really rude. Freds is further for me but its better food and I just rather give them my business. I am not sure if she is the owner, but the white women that stands around acting like the owner is the rudest. Also, something I find really funny is the reason they stopped doing the frequent dining card. I overheard an argument with other customers over it and it made me laugh. Anywhere I have been that gives you a card and stamps it when you visit, restaurants, hair salons, coffee places. Whenever you forget your card, they give you another one and at a later date they combine your cards and you get your free whatever it is. Apparently they refused to do that here, and a lot of people got mad. They stopped doing the frequent dining card all together because it would always start arguments. It didnt happen to me, but if I ate there 10 times, I would want my damn free lunch special. I wouldnt care if I had one card stamped 4 times, and the other card stamped 6. I do that all the time at Dutch bros and if they ever refused to combine my cards, I would not go back. Its just common practice for those stamp cards.

Best Asian food EVER served here!! Consistent, high-quality food with decent service and very reasonable prices. Only drawback is their limited dinner hours with an ordering/dining cutoff at 8:45pm and closing time of 9pm, Fridays and Saturdays included. Otherwise, this is one of my all-time FAVORITE restaurants and a place I am always proud to share with out-of-town family and friends! I couldnt recommend them more highly. Blessed and grateful to have them in my cherished hometown of Grass Valley! Their Wor Wonton Soup is my #1 ordering go-to, regardless of season or outdoor temperature. It is absolutely out of this world!! ☆☆☆☆☆

I go to the Asian Garden once a week. This past Thursday evening I went with a group of 13 women. The service was slow. A women with blonde hair and a red blouse was helping out with the serving. We asked her for water and she pulled her red blouse out far in front of her and said, " does this color look like black and white. We nearly slid down in our seats. It could not not of been more rude. We were thinking about getting up and leaving.

Excellent food, very consistent food and service. One of the most reliable places to eat in town and I highly recommend them. Lunch specials are very reasonably priced for how much h food you receive as well. Wine available, and a broad selection of Chinese cuisine that should have something for everyone in your group or family. Been going there for over a decade and still make it one of my regular places.to done in and get take out.

The service is prompt and friendly. I was seated quicky & able to order at once, so i could get to an upcoming meeting on time. Theres a wide variety of choices on the menu, & daily specials. My order was served in just a few minutes. It was a generous serving, hot and flavorful. I like the green tea, the comfortable booth seating & the white tablecloths. There was plenty leftover to take home, & the payment process was fast.

Only had one bad food experience. I got there really early for the dinner service. Ordered 3 orders of fried shrimp, all were way overcooked, hard and greasy. That was ONE TIME... out of a 100... Otherwise, the food is always perfect! (Hasnt ever happened again so, I will continue to be a loyal customer!)

Have eaten here many times and have loved everything that we have tried. The atmosphere is very nice with the oriental music playing in the background being served by the friendly waiters and waitresses. Might I suggest you give them a try I know you will be returning for sure.

Had lunch special featuring sweet & sour pork , beef broccoli, green salad, hot & sour soup, fried rice & hot tea..Great price for delicious meal.Also next day had 3 to go entrees. Everyone ate heartily & praised the dishes.excellent service also

We have been going to this restaurant for years with excellent food. Last night was terrible. The won ton soup had a ton of cabbage with 3 won tons in it. The egg drop soup was so salty and watery. Very disappointing. We will not be back.

The food was okay but the service was horrible! It took 30 minutes for them to even come to the table and bring water. Then another 15 to get the waiter to take our order. Only time I would consider coming back is for takeout.

Ordered a spicy plate and it was not at all spicy. There doesnt seem to be one authentic Chinese dish in the whole menu. Not bad if you are just looking for Americanized Chinese food, but I wouldnt recommend it to a friend.

I think this is the best Chinese food in town. I love the walnut prawns. And the salad with peanuts on top is amazing. If you get Carl as your waiter you will have hit food and lots of water.
