I have never felt like giving less than one star as I do in regards to this restaurant! We waited over 30 minutes just for a menu. The restaurant was not busy, at all. Approximately 30 people Then waited an additional 20 minutes for water. When our food finally arrived, the waitress didnt bring silverware or napkins. To add insult to injury, a young, male waiter cleared our table without asking if we were done eating. Two of my company had not finished eating and he grabbed a plate that obviously had food on it. My guest had her fork full of food midway to her mouth when he took her plate. Very disappointed with this restaurant. I wont be returning.

The food was excellent as well as the service. the owner Rocco on the other hand is a greedy, unethical dirty businessman. Had reservations and an invite to a bands Birthday party. He refused to sit us in the section we requested and we got there 3 hours early then ripped the bill out of my hand and tore it up and grabbed my arm to take my drink away from me. This happened after I questioned his ability to run a "Business". This is the 2nd time he has acted this way and I have only been there twice. NEVER AGAIN...

Great Food, Great Drinks, Great Atmosphere... The staff at Ovidio is always so extremely welcoming and will accommodate any request. I love coming in for a late lunch and having the ability to strike up a conversation with the person next to me. Its absolutely a place that feels like home.

I had the job of finding a place for 16 people (8 teens) to have dinner. I struck gold with Ovidio. Great service and food. Rocco and his very well trained staff really made our night special. It was also my birthday and they helped with that as well. We will be back!

All dishes very good and reasonably priced. It is the best of its kind in Fresno, have seen some comparable ones come and go, but this one stays. Service always excellent and some distinctive flavors and features.

Its OK. Putanesca was just some spicy sauce with a few olives on it and even fewer capers. I doubt there are anchovies in this kitchen. Basics however, are just fine. Still, could be Fresnos finest Italian.

It was... underwhelming for the price. Fine Italian food, but bland, relatively small portions, small water cups that required constant requests to get refilled... I expected more for what I paid.

Love this place. Pops is still in the back making all the original food. Food is great. Has a home feeling to it. Not like the big box restaurants.
