I emailed this to Claim Jumper / Landrys on 7/29/16: On 7/28, I took 2 coworkers to lunch. When I received my bill, it was $54.68 and I paid it and gave a $10 tip. I took an itemized receipt with me to expense the lunch and that receipt showed $79.68. I told the lady who charged my CC (Toni Coleman, your GM) that I was overcharged. I gave her a $25 Claim Jumper gift card, so my bill should have been $54.68 minus $25.00 for a total of $29.68. She told me thats not their process and I proceeded to go back to work. When I looked at the charge on my CC online, I was charged $54.68. I then went back to Claim Jumper today (7/29) to sort things out. I saw Toni again and instead of letting me tell the story, she cut me off to explain how I get credited back in about 24 hours. I said I know of no one that does that! No one! When I hand you a gift card, it is immediately deducted from my bill. I said, you instead, charged me full price AND took my $25 gift card. If I were paying cash, would I pay full price then later get reimbursed???? Hello?!?! I asked for her supervisors name and she said to call the corporate phone #. I asked her several times and she refused to provide her supervisors name. That is utterly ridiculous. I said you report to a person, not an office. I asked for a name, that persons number and email. She refused to give any. This service is absolutely absurd and pathetic. She has no place in being in a position of authority. I was pissed and heated! I expect action for her absurd and rude behavior. In addition, I took a dang hour plus out of my day today, only to get heated up some more. Her so-called 24 hours was already up when I was talking to her, but she didnt obviously process that part either. I would like to know what you plan on doing as a result of this awful and inexcusable experience. Darin

We ordered our food and received the meal before the soup and salad. Then had to wait for the cheese pizza for our grandson because they didnt cook it. When they brought out the pizza more than 10 minutes after everyone was served they brought out an adult cheese pizza that was clearly snagged from someone elses order. By the time we got to eat, the meal was cold and salad was warm with no consideration or compensation. Horrid service. The restaurant was not as busy as I had anticipated it would be, there were quite a few empty tables. This is nothing more than poorly trained wait staff, managers with a lack of managerial skill and/or experience. The food was just okay. The shrimp in pasta comes with tails on, this is not the way shrimp is served in pasta, this is laziness. The rest of the food was mediocre at best, clearly not worth the price charged.

This place is a hit or miss. They seem to try hard but they still cant always get it right. No matter how CLEAR I am about my food allergies even to the point of informing the managers I get my food allergens served to me every single time one way or another. And when I order a $30 steak they have trouble cooking it the way that I ask. It makes me feel like a problem child to the point I dont even want to show my face anymore. The fried cheese and the good bread is always delicious, but when they run out of the good bread sometimes and serve you this other bread it is not tasty. Not sure when we will ever return, but when I do I know theyll try hard, because their attitudes remain positive and helpful, but after so many fails it is EMBARRASSING to keep asking for what I asked for in the FIRST PLACE!

Been here many times. Service is great, restaurant is beautiful, portions are huge, but the food sadly is below par. Everything on the menu is simply so-so. Well everything except the chicken fried steak, that is the worst Ive ever had. There is nothing right with the preparation of this dish but Ill just say this, panko crumbs as the breading on a chicken fried steak? Save the panko for shrimp. Chicken our country fried anything requires a flour based breading with proper seasoning.

My husband and I went here for Valentines Day and we were not disappointed at all. They did have a prefix dinner for the occasion, but their menu is available for us to choose from. Other restaurants with prefix dinners during Valentines Day didnt have their regular menu available. I didnt like that. So, Claim Jumper made my day better. Their food was great. Service was friendly. It was a right choice going here. We will definitely come back.

How a reviewer could mention TGI Fridays as a comparison to CJ is unimaginable. Fridays is a typical Chilis/Applebees dump with terrible food. CJ is on a completely different level (while obviously not "fine dining"). The menu is varied and the portions are huge. The quality is consistently excellent whether you go for salad, sandwiches, pasta, steak, chicken, or any of the specialties. And of course, the desserts are fabulous!

We went to the Fremont restaurant for a birthday celebration; party of 8. We requested a table, handicap accessible; they placed us at a table with less frequent traffic, which we loved. Our server, Christian, was excellent with our needs, very attentive and he was such a polite and respectful young man. I tipped him $45, although wishing I could have given him more as he made our experience such a pleasant experience.

Dined here along with 14 others a three weeks ago. Menu has a set variety of dishes served for decades, along with specials. French cooking with rich sauces. Favorite here is Beef Wellington. Pistachio Encrusted Scallops are also great. One of the few places I know of in Bay Area where you can share the experience with your kids of finely prepared escargot. Bar service is very good and desserts are memorable.

Claim Jumper offers large portions at an affordable price. The food is good and the staff is well trained and will take good care of you. Their Corkage fee is only $10.00 which can save you a few bucks if you like wine with your meal and their rewards program is generous as well. Youll get a $25 credit for your birthday month and will earn credits for your purchases that you can use to pay for future meals.

Sat in the bar. Very nice waiter but he was greatly overworked with too many tables. We timed it to be a 20 minute wait for our beer with no refill on water or first offering of bread during that time, and it was a 50 minute wait for our food. My widowmaker burger was good, however. This poor service was unacceptable given the high standard of service in every other claim jumper I have been too.

Just another American style eatery. I remember going there with my friend since we got bored with everything else in the area. The atmosphere was cozy and family friendly. Be mindful when dining during weekends since it will definitely be crowded with long lines. The food is alright. Not a big fan but also not bad. It wouldnt hurt to try but I guess its not really my favorite.

Good food, extremely large portions. Claim Jumper has never disappointed. I only stopped in here for a to-go piece of their wonderful carrot cake. It was amazing as usual and likely shortened my life-span. The service was fairly quick when you consider it was 6pm on a Friday, right smack in the middle of the dinner rush on the busiest day of the week.
