Boudin could be a great place if it wasnt so overpriced. They tend to cheap out on their tomato soup compared to the other soups by giving less than the full cup/bowls worth unlike the chili or clam chowder soup. A full meal can be $10 for one person for an underwhelming amount of food. The service at this location isnt all that bad and are fairly quick. Since Whole Foods is nearby, I would recommend going there and getting the 32oz soup with bread bowls for groups of 3 or more and comes out less than $16 compared to Boudins $21 and and 14oz of soup.

Their butternut squash soup is my favorite! Last week I tried their asian chicken salad, with the sesame ginger dressing on the side. Both the salad and the dressing were amazing. The chicken was perfectly moist--none of the dry flakiness you find in salad chicken at a lot of places. Id get it again and this time toss the dressing in from the start.

Clam chowder was good. Chips that they give with the sandwich are not worth it. Its not good. Get a salad instead. I also got a Chicken Pesto sandwich. The bread was very rough and hurt my mouth and teeth. They also put balsamic vinaigrette in it, which does not go with the pesto. Id pass on that sandwich and would try the turkey avocado next time.

Its great! You walk in they greet you right away, you order they bring your food to you and keep coming back to make sure you have everything you need. They keep it clean and the noise leave is fine if you needed to work or do homework its possible to do so. I would totally go back just to avoid the bridge,traffic and finding parking in the city.

This is a great spot for a delicious meal that wont hurt your wallet. The quality of customer service is usually average to above average. The manager Aaron/Erin (not sure of the spelling?) was super helpful with an incident where my to-go order was missing an item which he ended up giving me an I.O.U since the store closed when I noticed.

They have horrible costumer service! We orders food for Togo and they gave us the wrong order. We had to drive 40 miles for sandwiches. When we came back to the store to get the correct food they were so rude. The manager didnt even say sorry. They should pay attention more. October 25 2015

They were great when they were new. But now, the people behind the counter are slow, frequently mess up orders and the vegetables can be questionable. I still come here for sandwiches since whole foods isnt any better, but they arent like they were. Great bread though

Think of boudin as the next generation in fast food. Everything is prepared in the restaurant and everything tastes fresh! Food comes out super quickly and its reasonably priced. This is one of my favorite places to go to. Online ordering for take out is a breeze!

One of the closer Boudins in the East Bay. Staff will hardly acknowledge you. Food can be overpriced but if you need a step up from Panera, go here. Their loaves are bread are great to have at home. Try the multigrain loaf!

Good food, fast service, nice staff. For some reason, they cant seem to figure out how to sell grilled cheese and soup for less than $20ish, even though they combo all the other sandwiches into a $10ish price.

I prefer this place to Panera. I particularly like their grilled Brie and apple sandwich (its like having dessert for lunch), and the butternut squash soup is great as well.

Far better than typical fast food! The chili or chowder in a bread bowl is a win. Also give the Blue Note Burger a try on sliced sourdough. Kid friendly, a nice family stop.
