My wife and I recently came to Taiko Sushi for the first time for a semi-date early dinner. The decor was nice and the staff seemed pleasant. Since we came during Happy Hour, there were multiple deals we were able to take part in. Our Bento boxes were buy one get one half off, so that was very nice. I was also able to get a nice $2 draft beer. The dinner-time bento were fairly decent in quantity of food, though my wifes teriyaki salmon was a tad on the small side. Sadly, the salad used an odd runny ranch-style dressing instead of the sweet Japanese style I am accustomed too. They did provide a large bowl of white rice to each of us, as well as a great supply of dipping sauce for our tempura. Everything tasted great (minus the salad) and was an enjoyable experience overall. I was also very pleased their California Roll had the imitation crab instead of that ground up crab mix. Its the little things. I will certainly be back to try their sushi options. I will update this review as I return, giving a better glimpse into the foods and services this location offers.

Food was good, server was attentive, prices were fair. Went around 3pm, so it wasnt very busy. Even though we were seated after a large party, the server checked in with us so we could get our order in before they did so we wouldnt have to wait forever. He checked in with us often after that, offering refills and kindly letting us know when something we ordered was unavailable. All the rolls we ordered looked and tasted wonderful. We were particularly impressed by the tameki/hand rolls. We dont often eat in Folsom because of distance, but Ill definitely remember this place whenever Im in the area. (Picture: Unagi handroll)

In search for sushi places in Folsom, Tokio name appears as 4 star restaurant. I love to try places with 4 and above stars. And the waitress was nice and kept asking how can she help us. She was on point. Around 5pm less people so its nice to come here when its not noisy. Food was good. I wish it had some sauce to give flavor. Besides that, the rolls were cheap and worth it. I loved that happy hour deal was $5 and it comes with free miso soup. Totally worth it. I would recommend this place to anyone. And do try fiji sushi roll. I think my favorite was rocky or catalina. They were good.

Service was really long. idk if for some reason they just kept forgetting about me or what, but it took forever for our food to come, then it took a long time for my check, then I sat there waiting for her to bring back my card all while watching people who got there after me leave before me. My food was okay my husband said his food was okay but there wasnt enough so he ate the rest of our sons and still left feeling Unsatisfied.

This place has the best sushi in all of nor cal if you ask me. Ive had sushi at many places throughout the state but I religiously go to Taiko every Friday night. Ive been bringing family and friends here for years now and no one ever leaves disappointed. From the miso soup to the excellent staff (especially Tami) to the main course everything is top-notch.

Wayne, and his crew, are the best. Weve been Taiko regulars for a while now. Wayne is great at introducing new foods to us. Most recently it was their excellent Aji (mackerel). Ive always considered mackerel to be too fishy and oily to make good sushi. Im glad they changed my mind. Delicious. Good deals, great sushi, awesome staff. All good.

Went here at 8 on a Sunday, they are open till 9. We had two teens and two adults. We ordered 5 roles. Room 45 min to get the roles and they look no better then Costco sushi. Flavor fairly bland. Not sure how there ratings are so high. Aloha Sushi and American Echi are both much better places for good sushi. Service not the best either.

We are big time Sushi fans and just moved from Wisconsin to Folsom. We tried over 5 places to find place to get Sushi. We were blown away by Taiko. The service was EXCELLENT, the prices were reasonable, and the sushi was incredible. Highly recommend even if you have to drive across town.

Taiko has good sushi and good prices. The quantities are just right. The sauces do not overpower the flavor of the sashimi. The miso soup is almost as good as homemade. While not the most amazing sushi I have ever had, I would definitely return if I am in the area.

Excellent food and service! I ordered for 40 ppl for Intel. They were very happy with the presentation and food. Delivery went very well. Wayne is great to work with, as well as the staff. I highly recommend Taiko Sushi.

My wife and I always look forward to dinner at Taiko- it is such a treat. Other sushi restaurants in Folsom are nice but Taiko is great. They have a nice selection of rolls, the beer is cold and the service is friendly.

No service and they dont treat customers well. We left after waiting thirty minutes to be seated without menus and another fifteen minutes without anyone coming to take our orders. Very disappointed.
