After reading all the reviews, I was a bit sketchy about going to spiral but was pleasantly surprised. Service:9.5 The service was overall pretty good, we took a long time to decide on food and the waitress didnt seem mad or stressed or anything like that. The reason its not a 10 is because they didnt stop by even once to refill our water. Food: 9 The food was very good but needed improvement. The dragon roll tasted great. The chicken teriyaki bowl had great rice and sauce but the chicken was slightly undercooked. They also couldve put more sauce on it. The bento I ordered was pretty great overall. More rice wouldve been nice but the portion given is okay. The teriyaki steak sauce was phenomenal but the steak itself was unevenly cooked, although it looked well cooked, there were a few small spots that were red(this means these parts werent well enough) The soba (I believe this was the name) was amazing. The skin was a very very good addition to the soba. It was soaked with a special sauce that made it taste absolutely amazing. Mochi Ice cream strawberry flavor The taste was delicious but was way overpriced. They give you 2 pieces of mochi with whipped cream and chocolate sauce for $6.45 In my opinion it was good but overpriced. Review: Aesthetics: 9 very Japanese feel and food was presented very nicely. Food: 8 really tasty, but needs to be cooked better Price:8 slightly overpriced, for the most part the prices are okay but for some items its just crazy. Overall:8/10 Tasty food with slightly high prices.

Discovered this place when I first moved to Daly City and was pleasantly surprised. I was always told to avoid a sushi restaurant that is not busy or seems stagnant. So I was not afraid to try this restaurant because of the high traffic in the area. No matter what time of the day, Spiral always seems busy, but rarely have I had to wait more than 15 minutes to get seated. The service is so quick and the food is delicious. On an average day. the time to walk in the door, be seated, order, and receive my food has taken less than 15 minutes. But this may also be because I am a creature of habit and know exactly what I want before sitting down. Still the food always tastes consistent and freshly prepared! Although I rarely make it to happy hour because of my work schedule, the happy hour special is awesome! You can get up to 20% off your entire bill, if youre there before 5. Not only that, but every time you go in there, they give you a coupon for a buy one get one free on select rolls, which are really reasonably priced to begin with. This is one of my new favorite sushi places because it is delicious, clean, quick, and centrally located.

I stumbled upon this place as I was in the area and a bit hungry- so I gave it a try. The menu is illustrated with lots of promising photos, so I was curious enough. The service was attentive and quick -ok the place was less than half full. Most of the appetizers are quite expensive - my standard Miso soup and edamame would have cost me 12 bucks alone! I was not going to accept that. I tried the "red dragon" that looked appealing. As it turns out the portion was large but the share of fish was kinda small- the tuna on top was cut very thin. See my picture. So, good quality but expensive. Otherwise I would have awarded 4 stars. The ambience is kinda plain and the tables are very close to each other. Nothing for a romantic dinner.

This place was very good when it first started but it has gone downhill over the years. I dont see the crowds I used to see. The food portions have shrunk and the service is average. Just so you know, this is a Japanese restaurant owned by Cantonese. 1. Food⭐️⭐️⭐️out of five. 2. Price ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️very reasonable. 3. Service ⭐️⭐️⭐️workers dont smile and they dont say thank you or bye. 4. Ambiance ⭐️⭐️ No Japanese atmosphere. 5. Cleanliness ⭐️⭐️⭐️

This restaurant is located in the busy Westlake Mall. The sashimi is fresh and the service is fast. Id like to see the restaurant offers more options such as brown rice. The salad was ok and the menu selection was pretty diverse.

Their Lion King rolls are quite savory. Their Tonkatsu is substantial and its soup gives you a fuzzy feeling inside. Great for small and large groups alike.

I have eaten here twice and both times were a disappointment. The second time my fish was dry and my rice was hard and cold like it was left in the fridge

tl;dr Come here if you like americanized, over-sauced rolls or if you just need something quick while shopping. Donburis are not well made. Overpriced.

Since I live close-by, I go there often. I mostly have my food at non-crazy hours and no complains about that.
