2011 was the year of the burger, 2012 was the year of the pizza so Habit is a little late to the game with so many really good places around. You really have to look at what they do different and what they do better, whats is their draw over more specialized or popular places? I wasnt surprised that my two experiences here werent amazing and it wasnt that I didnt give them a fair chance, but fool me once shame on me, fool me twice shame on you. Somewhere between fast food and gourmet, its a bit of both, like good burgers at a restaurant they do build them well and with good ingredients. The comparison to In N Out is immediate, but the biggest difference is INO is still fast food, just really good, fresh fast food. Habit is a restaurant and not subject to the same experience or standards in my opinion. The service is excellent, attentive and not overwhelming. The menu outdoes any fast food by offering a much wider variety of options, but INO does a few things and does them well. Thats where my comparison to INO will end. I get how we all want a burger to be a burger and we all have our favorites, but lets compare apples to apples. The beef patty is well charred and juicy, 80/20 sounds right, not sure if they use Angus as thats in thing now. Cheese is well melted and gooey all over. Lettuce was more on the large scale by amount and small on the leafing, buns are toasted so as to differentiate in texture from the softer outside. As far as ingredients and sides you have a plethora so my combination is less important (pastrami is a must) I get that anywhere its available because I think it compliments beef better than bacon.

The only burger that rivals In N Out in my mind. Thats high praise right there in my book. The location is nice with plenty of parking, but that means plenty of customers so be prepared to wait in a short line and few minutes to get your food. The short wait has never spoiled my appetite, but definitely don’t expect McDonalds speeds here. They give you a pager so you’re free to walk around until your food is prepared. The staff are always very nice and generous when it comes to extra condiments and the like. If you’re hungry for a burger and want to try something other than In N Out, definitely give this place a look!

This place is great! Even though I had heard of the Habit MANY times, i just never ended up going to one until about two months ago. I ended up really loving their burgers. They are kind of like In-n-out but nicer, and the burgers are kind of a mix between In-n-out and Red Robin in my opinion. Either way, this location is run very well. My food has always been consistent, fast and fresh. I also like that they have a couple of tea/limeade options in addition to the normal soda fountain. Bottom line, if you like burgers and fries, this place is a sure thing.

Got their charburger with cheese hoping it would love up to the hype but all i got was a burger that fell apart and the flavors didnt seem to really mix... Will try the Santa Barbara next time since that was what I had really wanted and maybe their specialty burger will be better. Maybe I should also bring in the dry cleaning bill from the first visit.. Someone is trying to compete with the old Carls Jr ;)

Food is great but the service seems to deteriorate every time I come in. Have been a huge fan for 4 years but this location in particular has poor customer service on a regular basis. Had plenty of time to write this while I waited for the order I placed, which was supposed to be ready 5 minutes before I showed up. The place was dead by the way as my shake melted

I visit once every couple weeks... they make good food, & it always seems fresh. The burgers are good, but like most places, they wont cook it rare, which loses them a star. They are quite busy at lunch time, so if youre in a hurry, pick someplace else. I was surprised at how good their chicken sandwich is.... I usually choose this over the "medium" hamburger.

Tonight after a long drive I stopped by The Habit. It was crowded but the flow was great. As I stood in line I noticed Ilene and that huge smile and bubbly and genuinely nice personality. Definitely a sweet encounter. The manager, Lawrence, ran that kitchen like a boss. The kind that gets my food out fast, hot and sooo good!!! Thank Guys!

They have 4 different types of Powerade/sobe water in their drink dispenser, but NO DR. PEPPER?? Im a HUGE fan of the Dr., and it made me so so sad to see that they felt it necessary to have FOUR sports drinks instead. I guess if youre into blue Powerade, or cranberry Sobe water, this would get five stars from you...

Im not a burger person but the quality of these burgers and the variety of menu options made me an instant fan. We had a large group and our order was prepared quickly. The staff worked well together and it is apparent that they are well trained and directed by the manager, Jose. 5 stars from me!
