in a word HORRIBLE. It was over 3 years ago that i stopped eating at this place after today 7/2/2014 I will never go back. I hope they get out of the restaurant business as what they serve and the filth and dirt in this place makes me want to gag. I order lemon grass chicken from the to go menu. Nothing shows it was a spicy dish and usually that would not matter to me. I like spicy food, but this stuff was so hot that nobody could eat it and the chow mein was brown and tasted burnt. I have eaten better food at the grocery store deli chinese food counters and paid much less too. I took my to go order home before checking the order. It is so true the screw you at the drive through. I cant understand the reviews that say it is good. I can only guess those people have no relevant experience to tell good from bad.

We moved to the area from San Francisco and finding a good Chinese restaurant has not been easy. However, what I love about China House is that everything is fresh, the food is excellent, and they will make anything I ask for. Lemon Tofu - on the menu because I kept asking for it. Same with a lot of the other vegan/vegetarian dishes. If they have the ingredients, they will make anything you ask for. Wait staff is helpful, place is clean...we eat there 3-4 times per month. Now - does anyone know a really good place for dim sum?

China House is the go-to place for my friends and I, and it is now my wifes favorite place too. Lunch Special is impossible to beat! Everything is always piping hot because they dont make it until you order it. Huge portions (and I a love to eat, so I mean that); always leftovers (which taste just as great). Why eat at that chain Black and White Bear restaurant when you can be fed by a family owned, amazing eatery for about the same price? I recommend the Generals Chicken and Mongolian Beef.

The food at China House is excellent; Ive never been disappointed by my order no matter what it has been. The portion size is pretty amazing, Im never able to finish the food Im given and the price isnt bad either. Their delivery has always been very prompt, within 20-45 minutes every time Ive ordered, even when I lived out in Orangevale, quite a distance from the restaurant. I really couldnt recommend this restaurant any more, theyre my favorite place to go when I want good Chinese.

Been eating here for decades. Even after they sold to another family, the menu and food quality remained phenomenal. Hands down, best Chinese in the area outside of old Folsom. Regularly have the salt and pepper squid (so bomb), pork chow fun and chicken fried rice. Have not found a menu item that isnt delicious. Also, try the war wonton soup! And they deliver! A+++ food. A+++ service.

First of all the food just looked discusting, but we did decide to at least try it and it confirmed what I was already expecting. I have my whole order to return. None of it touched other than the one bite to at least give it a chance. My bill was 27$ I really hope my boyfriend comes back with my cash or a pizza.

Sad that we are moving soon because we have been a regular to this restaurant for over 5 years! They are very helpful and have the BEST Chinese food in Citrus Heights. Hood deals on their combination plates and the inside is very clean. They even let you pay by credit card when you order delivery.

Great food, great fired rice and there kung pow is on point. Squid is super tender, not rubbery at all. Polite and friendly waiters and fine atmosphere. GREAT PRICES (under $30 for 3 people). Take out is quick too (15-20 minutes on average). Over all great place to get asian dishes.

This place is fantastic the portion size is huge I got the egg flower soup the orange chicken the broccoli beef and chicken fried rice. And holy cow its way to much food. I will be able to have Chinese food all week with the much food. Plus the food is hecka bomb.

Ordered general chicken combo dinner and pot stickers for takeout tonight. Said it would be ready in 10 minutes, got there in 9. Place was empty at 8 on a Saturday night. Quite strange. Food was ready, very hot, plentiful, and damn good. I will be back.

This is pretty good Chinese food for the area. I liked the orange chicken better than the mandarin chicken, the rice and chow mein are good, crab-meat cheese won tons are pretty good. We havent had anything here we didnt like.

I eat here about once a week because the service is great, the food is perfect and I always have leftovers. You will not find a better place in this area!
