Came here on a Wednesday night and by golly the setup and ambiance was extremely beautiful! When you first enter, there are two locations where you are given the option to sit! One is inside which there are sofa seats and a dim lit area and then the other option will take you to the patio. Obviously if it is a nice day you should go to the patio. The patio surrounded by metal tables around a giant tree decorated with lights lay in wait. Really calming and gorgeous ambiance. Out of many of the restaurants I have gone to, it is probably one of the best. The service is really great and the waitresses does a very good job of attending every table and refilling water when needed! I really like their customer service! Now here is where it trips and falls flat on its face! I ordered the Spicy chili fried rice, the Pad Se-ew, and the pineapple fried rice. Order took a little longer than expected especially for there wasnt an awful lot of people. I was chit chatting away when the food finally arrived. The spicy thai chili was very underwhelming. It is was bland, not spicy and very meh. Even after all the veggies they added in, it was just not savory at all. It literally tasted like a slight flavored steamed white rice. The pineapple fried rice does not taste like pineapple at all. It literally tastes like yellow colored plain rice with some cumin added in with bits of cashews and pineapple added in. The Pad Se-ew was probably the better tasting out of all of them. Although it was only noodles covered in soy sauce with broccoli. I fairly enjoyed this dish. Even if this place has fantastic ambience and customer service, the flavor is just not there. Also for being a rather expensive restaurant compared to other thai food places, it was extremely disappointing. The final bill made it even more disappointing. Will admire from a distance when I come back to Nevada city but will definitely not be returning at all

Absolutely wonderful experience. When we arrived we requested a table outside. However it was about a 10 minute wait. As most restaurants do we expected to stand outside while waiting. Oh no, that would never do with this team of professionals. The bar was full so they offered a table inside where they brought us water and took our drink orders. Totally impressive and beyond professional and accommodating. When our table was ready they came and got us and carried our drinks out. The setting outside was lovely and the service amazing. Then we got our food. Oh my gosh. Beyond delicious. We ordered the Thai toast and sprimp rolls. Super yummy. For dinner we ordered the pumpkin curry. I was in heaven. Our friend ordered beef pad Thai, her husband ordered the seafood hot pot and my husband ordered the pepper duck. We travel and eat out often and this food was beyond fabulous. Some of the best Thai food ever anywhere. This was a 10 star evening but I can only give 5. If you want a great Thai meal dont go anywhere but Sopa Thai. Were sorry to have to return home from our vacation. We will miss this food!!!!

Awkward timing of courses: soups were really good but delivered at intervals (we werent sharing) and then followed too soon by one entree and not the other. Also the rice didnt come out w/ the early entree. That means, to finish/continue eating soup meant the entree got cold (turns out it wasnt that hot to begin with--I suspect the plates are cold so chill the food quickly). And the second entree came quite delayed after the first. So timing was all off. Tasty food, lots of vegetarian/vegan options but need to sync up the kitchen a bit if you like to eat at the same time as your friends.

Ambience was fairly nice but food was sub-par. Curries my friends got were pretty good. My Pad Thai was not. It was soupy and strangely sweet with hardly any veggies. Prices were typical for a Thai place. I ate my food without complaint so I wouldnt embarrass my sensitive friend who chose the place for her birthday lunch. I got sick about an hour after the meal and had to leave work while my body purged whatever was in the soupy pad thai. In fairness, it could have been the hot and sour soup. I was the only one in our group to order either dish. The soup was actually good.

Went there for our Anniversary and it was wonderful. Food was excellent, atmosphere was really nice. Choose from either indoor sitting that was in the floor with cushions to lean on or normal tables, or the outdoor patio with white Christmas lights. All three options are very nice. Service was great and the price was reasonable. Great experience. We are going back for mothers day with a big group!

Surprisingly good even for someone who Hates Thai! I went here with a group and thought Id be out of luck finding anything I liked but was pleasantly surprised by the selection. My friend said the steak was great and my noodle dish (whose name escapes me at the moment) was delish. Good place to go and usually a little less crowded than some of the other restaurants in the area

My favorite restaurant for ambiance and menu. Heavenly patio setting with lovely lighting and water feature. Sweet friendly staff. Favorites are Fresh Spring Rolls appetizer, Mango Red Curry, Vegetable Fried Rice, Tom Kah soup and many more.

The vegetarian fresh spring rolls seemed to have been wrapped in a thick layer of chewing gum around a flavor-free stuffing. The mixed vegetables seemed to have been cooked in some sort of pleasure-lube. Yuck!

Fresh and delicious. The mango sticky rice was amazing! Service was spotty. My food came 20 minutes after my husbands. But that could be due to a kitchen issue. Will certainly give them another try.

Awesome curry(seafood oh yeah). Outside was really nice. Best Thai me and my wife have had. Get the appetizer on top and have them substitute the tofu for more crab cheese wontons... so good!

Best Thai food in Northern California! Best service as well. Great ambiance, especially in the outdoor patio. Highly recommend the wings and the vegetable soup "little bit spicy"

Vegan Penang curry with tofu was fantastic! Drunken noodles were too sweet in my opinion - tasted a little like ketchup.
