Came here for the lunch buffet.I believe it is about $11 or so. Located in a strip mall across the street from the Ross shopping center, it doesnt look like much from the outside. Inside, there is a spacious seating area with dance floor to the left and huge disco ball. I guess if you want to get your groove on to work off your meal, you have that option. The buffet itself had about three soup options: - Borscht - Lots of onions, hit the spot. - Smoked meat - didnt try - Lamb soup - Im not into gamey soups, so didnt try. There was a cold salad area with: - Spicy carrots salad - Zingy, with a bite. - Beet salad - Creamy. If you dont like beets, just give this one a try. - Potato salad - Not your typical potato salad, bits of egg too. - Cucumber salad - Thinly-sliced For hot foods, from what I can recall: - Cabbage rolls - Tender, stuffed with meat - Chicken - Dont recall the name, but like a drumstick. Very tender. - Pumpkin puree - I know this dish has a name! The waiter referred to it as "pumpkin oatmeal." One of my faves, slightly sweet. - Buckwheat - or some type of grain. Tasty, healthy, probably full of fiber and other good stuff. - Pork dish - Not god. The only bad dish I had. - Mashed potatoes. Who knew that good ol mashed potatoes were Russian? I know Im probably missing something here. But it was all good, save for the pork. Dessert-wise, there were diamond-shaped small slices of a dark cake with icing, figure-eight donuts that could have been a bit fresher and fruit. All in all, I am a fan. I do plan on going back!

Went here last night with my boyfriend for dinner. I had bought a Amazon voucher so we thought we would give it a try. Let me tell you we will be back. Hands down this was some of the best food I have had in the Citrus Heights area so far. The food is made to order and the portion sizes are HUGE. Everything we had was full of flavor. They also offer a full bar, and drinks are reasonably priced. When you first looks at the menu you might not think you will like the food, but trust me you will. If you are wanting a quick meal, this is not the place to go.....like I said everything is made to order. We will defiantly go back.

We went to sample Russian food and ended up full and happy. There were a few hiccups, bot overall the experience was well worth it. The beet salad and borscht were excellent, as were the chicken pelmini. The pickled herring was delicious and the potatoes served with it were perfect, soft of the inside and crisp on the outside. We enjoyed the escargo, and never made it to the mains! Alan our waiter took excellent care of us and Lana the owner came by to say hello. We will be back! I think they are new and the restaurant will only get better as more people discover them!

I wanted to try Russian food for the first time and this place was great! The dinner selection was delicious. I tried the Blini with smoked salmon and the chicken kiev with mashed potatoes and polenta. They also offered escargot, which I am a big fan of. The escargot had a distinct flavor than those at the local french restaurant, but was more refreshing than anything. I am planning on going back to their lunch buffet to sample more of their menu. Not a bad place for a date either!

My boyfriend and I went here for lunch. We were both very pleased! What excellent service, very kind and attentive staff and the food was EXCELLENT! It reminded me of my grandmothers cooking and it was nice to enjoy and try different Russian foods that I havent tried before. It reminded me to get in touch with my roots. I definitely recommend this place. Authentic Russian food. ~ Alison Mohorich

Seen the place a few times and wanted to try. Took the wifey for an easy night out and gave it a shot. Suprisingly, the inside was decent, full bar, excellent service and good food. We will definitely eat here again. For a town that lacks any culinary suprise or ingenious food. It was nice to have something different that was above par for the area. Try the escargot.

I walked in initially not knowing they had a lunch buffet, and I was glad I stayed. My GF is Moldovan and she liked the food so Im sure I was tasting authentic ethnic cuisine. I would definitely return for dinner. The only con tho was that the girl server at the time did not check up on us or even fill up our water, not even once.

Food was good but the service was horrible the waiter didn't come up and ask how things were can I get u any drinks or welcome us or anything! Plus He ended up charging a child that didnt even eat. He said if he had a bite that means he ate ... This was at the time of buffet. Anyway pretty ridiculous!

Delicious Russian cuisine, unique and interesting design. Nothing like it anywhere in Sacramento or any where I have been. The food certainly stands out with how fresh and big the portions are, I definitely recommend it for anyone looking for good food and different culture.

I can say not happy at all with serve, 05/28/2017 we went with my family for Sunday lunch and ordered a 3 plats of plow and after 10 minutes waiting they said we have plow just for 2 person and we reordered some thing else instead, weary slow serving, and pricey.

Very delicious, although Ive havent tried much Slavic food I though it was very good. It was a slow Sunday but nice background music and out hostess Yulia was very nice. They also have a nice display to take a pictures. Also this is no longer a buffet place.

Who know Russian food was so good. Had the Lamb rack and it was amazing, tried the pelmeny (sp?) and they were great too. Service was adequate, but you could tell they care. I am definitely coming back for the lunch buffet!

Just tried the borsch soup and chicken dumplings. I hate beets but the borsch surprised me... No beet taste (despite being bright red) and excellent! Dumplings were great, will return to try the rest of the menu. :)

Really good food. If you have never had Russian food you should try it out. I had the beef Balini. I also tried the lamb stew which is more like a lamb pot pie. Both were very good.

My husband and I went here last night. We split the potato dumplings and farmers cheese dumpling (basically perigees). They both were delicious!! We will definitely be going back!

Service wasnt great and the food was cold. The mashed potatoes tasted like box potatoes. The apple streudel was hard and cold despite asking them to warm it up.

Very good, authentic Russian food and very good portions. However, slow service. Seems to be a family-run place. Friendly but a bit inexperienced waiter.
