After reading the reviews here, I just had to try this place. I ordered Szechuan beef. What I got looked (and tasted) like Princess beef with some peppers (Jalapeno) thrown in. Nothing else, just meat and peppers. It was overpriced and had enough msg to choke an elephant. The price was also ridiculous. A Coke, the entree, and rice for over $14. Tried Sunny Lees the next night, got excellent Szechuan beef, (which included bell peppers, onions, etc) and a side of rice for under $8. Service was ok, nothing to write home about. Just godawful food.

Im a creature of habit so I pretty much only order only these items and I absolutely love it everything for the past 5 years. The deep-fried crab is just crazy good, fried calamari(Im sure the best on earth), pork chops are amazing as well, shrimp fried rice is not dry, but moist and I also add $2 extra shrimp, sweet and sour pork taste like it should and your choice of thick or thin noodles on chow mein(I like mine with chicken. Try the calamari and if you dont like it theres just something wrong with you. Lol.

Tried it for a 2nd time hoping the first time was just a bad experience. But its not much better so I will never be coming back again. This isnt real Chinese. The orange chicken was horrible and didnt seem real. The kung pao chicken was almost all vegetables and chicken wasnt that good. The egg rolls are small stay away from those. Just stay away from here. Chinese food has sucked in Rancho Cordova compared to everywhere else in Sacramento. You know its rough when Id rather have panda fn express.

Hoicin has some of the best Chinese food in Sacramento, rivaling what you might find in SF Chinatown. One cool thing to check out is the all you can eat dinner so you can try all their entrees because there are soooo many good flavors to experience. Gotta catch them all! Mostly everything I have had though is fantastic, so you wont be disappointed - unless youre looking for panda express style.

worst orange chicken Ive ever had in my life, disgusting horrible food I ordered barbeque chow Maine pork fried rice crab cheese wontons etc not 1 thing was good, very flavorless an undercooked. great delivery though really fast. Id recommend any Panda Express over this any day. or just pick it random but this 1 is not a good Chinese restaurant

Great food - weve lived in Sacramento for about 4 years and had yet to find a good Chinese restaurant until we visited Hoi Cin. The only negative thing we have to say is that the service is pretty slow. It seemed like it was 30 min. before we got our soup and appetizer and drink. Other than that - very good food.

1 hour wait for an order pickup. Its Christmas day eve so i would expect them to be prepared to bu busy when they are one of few that are open. I ordered online with a pick up time of 6:15pm. But my food wasntvready until after 7pm and I waited that long in the restaurant. Suuuucked!!!!

Goto restaurant for Chinese in the area. Eat it there! Its all very good! Edit: Came to downgrade this restaurant due to the wait staff arguing with my wife. They messed up our order and demonstrated no accountability. The food was still good, but left with a bad taste in my mouth.

I am very picky about my Chinese restaurants and I was VERY pleasantly surprised by the quality of Hoicin. The food was delicious, service was excellent. The hot & sour soup is quite phenomenal for this area. Nice.

I love this place!!! One of my favorite places in Sacramento. The food is great and there are many choices for vegetarians, those who only eat fish (like me) and of course, if you partake in all the meat dishes.

Awesome flavorful bbq pork chow mein & mapo tofu! Staff is friendly and pickup estimates (Eat24) are constantly accurate so that your food is still piping hot when you get it. :)
